The ocean basket signage outside does not work. We actually drove past the place and came back. Only three waiters serving on a busy day however they were very friendly but overworked. We had to help them seat us down. You could see they were trying there best to make everyone happy. The owner needs to have more staff 3 is just to little for the day we were here Saturday evening 24th June 2023

Waitress is well trained and exceptionally friendly. After delivered the food to the table, she gave us a few minutes and then ask if all is well. I like that. Food was very well prepared. Ocean Basket Kimberley is always a nice choice for seafood. Manager is very friendly and hands on

Good service. Atmospher not great. Change you music playlist that is on repeat. Food was good. Just my oysters 3 of them were not fresh.

It's was my first time and last time I was expecting lemon garlic butter sauce and it didn't taste like it everything was just to heavy with cream are we also enjoy ocean baskets in western Cape

The service from our waitress was poor. She was absent and we had to remind her that we were there, waiting to be served. Food was ok-ish but our evening was marred by the lack of attention. Not impressed.

Wooow wow wow! So I’m in Kimberley on business, a close friend passed by and we decided to go out for dinner. Wanted to treat her and seafood is her favorite however due to allergies I don’t normally go to places serving only seafood as that leaves me with very little options to order. From the start we were greated by a friendly staff member at the door and we were seated. Our amazing waitress Ellie came to introduce herself and take our order, she was friendly and kind and knew her menu to make suggestions. Food arrived shortly after our drinks and Woow it was amazingly fresh and big portions. The manager Craig came around to make sure we were happy and to ask if we needed anything else. Great atmosphere and staff along with value for money. Definitely be seeing me again! Thank you Ocean Basket Kimberley staff.

Excellent excellent seafood ! Massive variety of different types of fish and even prawns . Definitely recommend the yellowtail or the kingkip fish incredibly tasty . Best seafood in Kimberley hands down , lovely ambience inside and outside with the fishtank inside and the terrance outside . My ideal meal would be platter for one grilled with yellowtail and garlic sauce (instead of Lennon butter ) I love this place so much , I ended up working there for a few months . 5 stars always !

I love my seafood and know what it should taste like. This was good food. Well prepared ,very tasty. Even my wife that don't prefer seafood ate prawns. Let's be honest. There are no more budget restaurants. It's to be able to get quality for your buck. And this place is it!!

The sushi was delicious and I loved the flavors. I couldn't get over the waiter though. She was confused the entire time and I kept on repeating myself. She made me and my friends feel uncomfortable but I hope she improves.

The place is nice enough, and the staff are friendly. But I took my Mom there for lunch and she ordered a house white wine from the menu. And they didn't have any. Next I ordered an alcohol-free beer, and there was none. But the waiter suggested I take an alcohol-free cider. Though is was not my first choice, I agreed ... Only to be told that they were out of cider. It was like a hidden camera comedy show. So we left and went elsewhere. I hope they get their act together.
