They made my babies birthday extra special, friendly staff and great food. Kid friendly, the playground is outdoors and spacious. Will go back anytime... 🤗

Food for good. Service was slow. Just a dead vibe in the place. Anyway I would like Spur to teach their waiters to come back to the customer after they give you your meal to ask if their is anything the customer needs. I have to always look for a waiter and ask them to bring a sauce or remind them of the onion rings that was not made and served. This is at every Spur. Back in the day waiters were on top of things but now a days we have to look for our waiter standing by the door waiting for the next customer. It is the waiters duty to follow up and ask if we want anything, if we are satisfied and if everything is fine.

As a parent of two who has probably been to every Spur in South Africa I rate this Spur as the best there is. The service is great, the place is super clean, smells great and they have the best play areas of all the Spurs. Outdoors and indoors for the colder or rainy days!!! Best of the best!!!

As we drove into the complex there were plenty of parking and a car guard, so we knew we didnt have to worry about car theft. Theres a smoking area outside for anyone to use. There were plenty of ramps outside and in the building. Covid19 rules were implemented. We were welcomed in by our waiter and taken to any seat we wanted because the place wasn't crowded. The music was relaxing and accommodated everyone. We ordered milkshakes,a burger and wings with mushroom sauce. It was delicious but they got the order wrong by adding an ingredient that was asked to leave out. The specials for that monday were cheaper burgers and waffles. The toilet was dirty as I saw bodily fluids I wouldnt want to see before I ate. Wifi was available and with good speed. There was a hole in the ceiling above and it felt dangerous. I hope that's fixed before someone gets hurt. The tables were clean but were squeaky and felt old. The decor was spurs signature style and I felt like a kid again. Theres also a play area inside and out. My waiter made me feel rushed and annoyed.

Always receive great service. Food is great and kids enjoy it.

What a bad service on father's day 18 june 2023. Arrived at 10:00 ordered our food, to be told at 11:15 that your order is forgotten by manager Shaun and his team. Bad service. Just took my family and left the restaurant

I bought a hake Full, as a takeaway, it comes with two fish, the other fish tasted off, I called the store regarding the matter, they were no help. Disappointed 😞. Mxm.

I frequent this spur, because it has one of the best kids play areas(inside + outside)in Kimberley. Unfortunately the service has slowly gone down the toilet over the years. A manager came to my table right now to hand me a kids menu I requested, he can clearly see we are done eating, but doesn’t offer clearing the table or a doggie bag. My waitress has been mia for 15min, I’m requesting my queries to other waiters. The restaurant was mildly busy, I’m dissatisfied with the speed of service and poor attentiveness of the manager on duty. His on photo mopping outside. Spur management if you read this, please reach out to me if you want know to how to run a high customer satisfaction restaurant ( I worked at spur tygervalley, cpt for 3 years till 2008 where I was trained on how to treat customers like gold and why Spur is special to South Africans. At this spur people use to queue weekends and it was pumping with kitchen staff, management and waitrons spinning because of the customer demand!). My analysis of this poor service was that our waitron took our table outside of her bay and completely forgot about us. I feel good waitron training is lacking and management cannot deal with unhappy customers. I was so disgusted, that I gave the waitress zero tip, I felt bad, because my standard is 20%. I wrote this in spur!!!

Waiter was barely at our table we waited 20 minutes after meeting up with some people at the restaurant before we were asked for drink orders, another 10 minutes to receive drinks and after that we weren't offered more drinks while waiting for food ordered well before we arrived... So all in all bad experience

Bad experience. About three months ago I paid R86.00 for a calamari starter. It was a basket full plus fries.Yesterday me and my wife went there and asked for the same we got a small plate with 8 x pieces of calamari strips with few chips and tartan sauce. That was ridiculous. So we had to order 2 x breakfasts with that.

Celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday an the service was up to standard an so was my Ceasar salad.

Ordered take aways (my wife currently in hospital) shocked to find no condiments or serviettes after I specifically enquired about condiments. Lady at the desk assured me everything is inside the bag.

We waited quite some time for the food to arrive. The bathroom was not very clean. My overall experience was just ok.

Very poor service, waited more than an hour for our food. I am sorry an excuse of "we are busy" does not justify the poor service, then perhaps the owners should employ more staff! Not impressed, sorry. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, then this Spur is not a good idea.

I'm not an individual that likes to complain but wow, that was not a spur experience. Ordered some drinks and deserts for the kids, our beverages were served 30 min after placing the order and the kids were served their desserts when I was about to leave. Requested to see a manager, who never bothered to come to our table, I then stood up went to her station, only to meet someone that has an unpleasant attitude. It was an unpleasant experience for me and my kids.

What an experience, Food & dessert was enjoyed. We had a 6 year old birthday treat at Choctaw and we all had a great time. The kiddies enjoyed the playground enormously. The waffles & ice cream was top notch!

Had a birthday celebration there. For once it felt as if the waiter couldn't wait for people to serve though and did an amazing job and actually kept us entertained although not annoyingly so due to his pleasant sense of humour.

Food was great and everything was awesome just would have preffered it to be faster but not complaining

Had a good family meal. Table next to us was left dirty and never cleaned. Services could have been faster. Overall good experience with room for improvement.

If we go to a restaurant as a family or friends, we expect to eat almost at the same time..we should not,each, get our meal at different time with even more than 30min interval and sometimes an hour...I am sure you you can do better

Wonderful staff, great service and mouth watering food. I had one problem though, I'm not sure if it was only at that table I was seated or if it's the restaurant itself. It's actually the 3rd time that I experienced problems with flies. U literally have to keep an eye on them as you eat and it's quite disturbing.

Great Kids area. My husband's cool drink glass had a clear red lipstick mark on from a previous user and they had not 1 block of ice for cool drinks on a 35 degree day. Food was fine and not bad. Also, bathrooms smelled extremely bad and weren't clean. I would recommend finding one of Kimberley other local spots.

This is our go-to restaurant for family meals in Kimberley. Overall the food and service is great, but there are areas for improvement. Sometimes there are no beer on tap, and the food quality can be inconsistent. On our last visit I ordered a full Cheddamelt chicken schnitzel. One of the fillets was soft and perfect, but the other one was stingy and tough. My daughter ordered a crumbed chicken burger, and her chicken patty was also tough and stringy. And sometimes the red wine is as hot at tea. I like my red wine served at room temperature, but I normally have to ask for some ice here.

Spur is sponsoring the springboks the rugby world cup,you have 4 tvs not one showing rugby not anybody else watching either to say you are unreasonable,Karen limburgh manager(popular for her pathetic manners) with a stinking attitude that refuse to change the channel, sitting a half an hour nothing happened.after 3 requests.previously i had to move our seat from a tv showing golf without any person watching the tv,i am disgusted by the service experienced we have been visiting it frequently family restaurant but we will definitely not be going back there ever again.after being called by the owner thomas,that has just made this ordeal quite a nightmare, because his unprofessionalism is worse than what i experienced on saturday with such a leader no wonder service is the last thing on their mind.

I was visiting Kimberly one night on a road trip. I usually really enjoy Spur burgers and a beer, which is what I ordered tonight. The service was super fast but the the food (everything on my plate) was cold. I sent it back and the probably popped it into a microwave. The chips were hot but the burger patty was still cold and super tough. The manager was very apologetic and offered to make a complete new meal. It arrived quite quickly but everything was now luke warm. The patty was still tough as leather yet it was slightly pink inside so it was not over done. I ate, paid and left and will definitely not come back. Pity...

We arrived just after seven and got service at around past eight we were really patient since we were celebrating a special day but Wow that was not on! only for the waiter to drop us and say its not her section I went as far as reporting it to the manager, only for her (manager) to even take longer with our drinks orders and got it wrong 🙃 as I write we didn't even get to eat at the restaurant since they are about to close we opted for take away which also was wrong. Talk about disappointment to think it's my husband's favorite place 😪 😕 😒 🙃

It's a really cute Spur. I was there when it was raining and I was sitting closer to a window so I got to eat my food and watch the rain. The service is really good and the staff is so friendly, they kept checking if I was okay (not in an annoying manner). The food was standard spur food, I loved that they had a third type of "veggies" (creamy sweet corn) unlike the standard butternut and cream spinach.

I would like to change my previous review to a 5 star. The manager Karen was very apologetic about the service and asked me to give them another try, I was there this past Saturday and received 5 -star service from her and the staff. Well done guys!!!
