It seems like an unlikely place to stay, but it is lovely, steeped in history with classical features true to the period. The courtyard is devine and a real hideway in the middle of a rater depressing town. The food is excellent and the ambience is to die for. The resident ghosts bid me a good nights rest and made me whish I spent more time to participate in the historical talk and tour of the venue. Iloved staying here and could just imagine writing a book while "taking tea" in the sunny, secluded courtyard.

Friendly staff. The rooms are beautifully decorated, takes you back in time. The dinner menu can definitely improve.

This place should be a museum and not a hotel.
I don't know how they got the 4 star rating, but the place is just old and unattractive. The carpet stinks, and why so many carpets in the hotel anyway? I suffer from sinuses, and honestly, I couldn't spend the night in the hotel even if I wanted to. I had a headache by the time we left the hotel because of the carpet.

Making reservation by telephone and email was a breeze. Great welcome by staff on arrival and checking in was painless. Room is well appointed with all the mod coms. Bed was extremely conformable ( handy when you are 1.9 meters and 115kgs!) And I could fit in the shower with ease with room to spare! The centuries old building oozes oldworld charm and highlights an import period in 20th Century SA history. The food will not disappoint!

Authentic rich with history and quiet ambiance. Safe parking. Good service and good meals. My first choice option when passing through Kimberley or when scheduling a meeting.

This place is so so rich in history, it is flooded with photos and artifacts from back in the late 1800s and early 1900. The most beautiful staircase I have ever seen. Exelent seurity, powerfull wifi. Close to other well known landmarks. For the rest of this place, go and visit it

Very old world, historic venue - well worth a good look around if you go there. Limited, but tasty, menu. Parking across street from main entrance.

A heritage architectural gem in the heart of Kimberley, exuding the grandeur and history of the diamond era.
From the excellent food and authentic, antique-sprinkled rooms and rich history on the walls and decor, you cannot find a nicer place to stay or have a private venue for your party.

What an experience! A must to visit this heritage museum/guest hotel where the Oppenheimer's hosted many investors back in time. Relax at the different lounges and enjoy the top class guest rooms at this boutique hotel.

Very disappointing, no bathroom mat, no drinking water in the room, TV remote not working, very very small menu, aircon not working in the restaurant and the staff made a huge noise in the kitchen! It sounded like a party in there, laughing and shouting!
What happened to the standards at the club?

A wonderful oasis of yesteryear. The friendliest of welcomes by all the staff who go out of their way to make your stay a happy one. Kept in pristine condition, the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying at the Kimberley Club. A truly excellent experience!!!

One of the highlights of our trip. We loved our stay at the Kimberly Club. Pierre and his staff went the extra mile - the ambience, service and food was excellent! You canโt help but be intrigued by all the history and we will definitely be back for a little longer next time - to soak it all in. What a treat.

Wonderful place soaked in history! Spacious room (no 1) with a balcony. Very comfortable bed, crisp, clean white linen. Had a lovely old school club dinner in the restaurant and fascinating conversation with Isak who has worked here for 30 years and has many stories to relate.
