Coming here for lunch is spectacular. The owner/chef is very interactive. The food is phenomenal and affordable. Great wine selection as well.

I had the mussles to start and the all essential Greek lamb shank Kleftiko! Everything you hope for from an authentic Greek restaurant. Well-done guys!

I think I found my new death-row/terminal illness meal! Quite possibly the best steak I have ever eaten! The owner spotted me walking to a different restaurant and suggested I come to the Fat Greek instead. Boy! I'm glad he did! Unreal!

This restaurant has left the best impressions! The atmosphere is fun and inviting, the staff and owner is very friendly and helpful. When you enter nje the smell of cleanliness is what made us stay. The food was great my steak was super soft and tender kore it was MONATE. Then came the Musica which they played our favorite. My Boss was really impressed. The Owner was super friendly and very welcoming and could pick it from his team that he is a great manager and boss. Next month I am back for my meetings and definitely having my dinner mo Fat Greek Kimberly. Is the place to be with friends and loved once.....

The Fat Greek in Kimberley is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delectable meal that marries traditional Greek and South African steakhouse cuisine. I had the pleasure of dining here twice in three days, and both times were exceptional. The steaks and lamb shank were cooked to perfection, and the sides were equally delicious. The second night was truly a feast, as the owner Spiro created a variety of traditional Greek dishes for us that were full of flavor and left us feeling satisfied. Probably the best place to eat in Kimberley! It was a lovely dining experience. Friendly waiters, on time, never had to wait for them! The chef is a mastermind in the kitchen, the food was amazing and the portions are big! Worth every cent. The menu has extraordinary items on and cant wait to try them all. The pita bread was🤤🤤 Would definitely recommend, but dont go if your on a budget. The food is pricy but worth it because of the portion sizes!

Having travelled all over South Africa the fillet I had in this small and cozy restaurant in central Kimberley really impressed me, so did the rump of my fellow diner. Well done to a chef who knows his meat and the way to prepare it to the best result.

What can I say WOW. Spiros the owner is an attentive host and made recommendations for my partner and I. We decided on the lamb shanks and were not disappointed. Absolutely stunning food clearly made with love.just sorry our time was limited in Kimberly as I would have liked to try the rest of the menu. The Beefeater blood orange gin and citrus tonic water perfectly complimented the meal.

Very good service and a warm welcoming environment. The food is amazing and very well priced. The chef/ owner was extremely friendly and came around to everyone to make sure they were enjoying their meals. I would definitely recommend going next time you’re in Kimberley!

Kimberley is known for its Diamonds. So lets talk about this hidden gem. Situated on the second floor with a Greece theme/ambiance you are greeted with a smile from Kadi the manager and fiendly service from the staff, but this is not what makes The Fat Greek stand out from the rest. Besides the food that is out of this world and reminds you why we say grace; the owner/ cheff actually makes a point of greeting every single guest, not clients, Guests. You will have a wholesome meal with a wonderful experience. Highly recommende this hidden gem. 5 out of 5

Great vibe, excellent food, service great, staff friendly.

Came here for lunch and to celebrate a friend's birthday. I like the environment, very relaxed and chilled. The service was good. I enjoyed my meal, a calamari sharwarma with salad but my friend had issues with her milkshake which was sorted once she brought it up. It's a decent place to dine at.

The eagerness of the owner and management to serve and feed you, is exceptional. The owner takes the quality of the food personally. He went to exceptional effort to make our dinner enjoyable.

There is no parking. I tried for 15min. Update: the owner replied very quickly, which is a good sign. I learned a new word "malaka", and chuckled. I'll revise my review once I return. I'm driving down to Cape Town. And yes, parking and location does matter in a review. If there is no sufficient parking (even if shared with other restaurants), it has an impact on a restaurant-goers experience.

World class lambchops, would highly recommend. Spiros is also very warm and welcoming . Next time I go will probably kill a steak 😆

Excellent culinary find in Kimberley. Nice Green food served with passion. I had the Fried Halloumi (slightly too salty), Dolmades, and Pickled octopus.

I had fantastic fish!

It was amazing. The staff were helpful, the food was excellent. The vibe was fantastic. Marlo, our server took good care of us and the chef came to check in. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the other server staff kept running in the restaurant and horseplaying, making jokes and talking loudly to each other while passing our table. Other than that, thank you Fat Greek for a great evening.
