This park is amazingly beautiful. Very clean and quite when we were there. They have a diving board and a really nice swimming area. No alcohol or glass bottles allowed and there is a $5 fee to get into the park. I would highly recommend if you're in the area the stop by and enjoy this park.

I'm originally from Heyburn, ID and growing up my family frequented Dierkes Lake Park. Some of my most fondest memories involve this place. We would always barbecue and swim and we would be there for hours, literally till we physically couldn't swim anymore. After 22 years I finally went back when I went to visit my family back in August of 2020. We took a family trip and I got to create new memories with my neice and nephew. We looked for rocks, made a sand castle, and swam for what felt like hours. I can remember my cousins and brother would jump off the hidden cliffs and the ones that are just right there by the diving boards. I know times have changed now so I don't even know if the hidden cliffs are still allowed to access. Either way this place has always been the spot to bring your kids and family. I highly recommend if you haven't been this summer or you're planning a trip to Twin Falls, check out Dierkes Lake and take a swim or if your someone who lives on the edge check out the cliffs. I promise you will have a great time and maybe this might be a spot where you and your family can create new memories.

Nice little park. Great spot for swimming. Seems family friendly. Also, a good place for people to go fishing for fun. Overall, it is pretty well maintained. But it can get crowded on the weekends with big families and parties and whatnot. But I definitely recommend checking it out on your way into our out of Shohsone Falls Park. Grass area is good for picnics and the hiking path around the lake is very easy/moderate but a fun one! Or just go for a dip in the lake to cool off on a hot day.

Such a beautiful place. Has a swimming area and fishing area. Also there is a hike around the lake that is wonderful. Almost 2 miles and lots of scenery. Loved it!

This little jem had a amazing swimming area. Parking is limited so come early morning. This place has a diving board, cliffs, floating dock and kids area to play in. Fun in the sun for sure

We enjoyed a fun day of picnic, swimming, kayaking. Great swim area for all abilities. Rock cliffs to jump off of. Kayaking in the lake is big enough to accommodate a lot of boats without over crowding. Kayak rentals also available.

Captain Ahab of Ahab's Adventures took a nice picnic break after visiting Shoshone Falls right upstream afterwards at Dierkes Lake! There were a lot of people fishing, kayaking, and enjoying all the options the park has to offer.

Did not know about this place until we were driving down to the falls. My two kids wanted to go up to check it out to see if we could swim. They were super excited to see the setup! They ended up swimming for an hour and a half while my wife and I relaxed and walked around the floating dock and enjoyed the area!

Fun lake for children and adults. There are large rock cliffs for all ages to jump from into the water. There is a fantastic shallow area for very small kids that is maybe a foot deep with a short wall to keep the very small kids"safe" while they play with new friends! There are many watching eyes, so children and teens and everyone feels safe. There is a diving board, and you can also paddle board and kayak on the rest of the lake outside of the swimming area. There are no dogs allowed, and no alcohol allowed, but many people bring bbqs and chairs, blankets, and floating things. It's a wonderful, family-friendly environment. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. Oh, currently, the entrance fee is $5, summer 2023, and that allows you to go down to see Shoshone Falls, too.

Small lake and park ideal for day picnics with adults and children. No alcohol drinking is allowed on the premises. The kids will like the playground facilities. You can stroll around, rest, and even take a nap, as loud music is also discouraged here.

Amazing place to bring the family either if you live in town or passing by everyone will love it, the kids, teens or older. Went a few time and had a blast. I'd like to mention that dogs arent allow in the lake or the grass, only on the trails. You can bring your floters for the water kayaking is allow and fishing in the designated areas. There are few spots to cook as well. There are bathrooms. Make sure you read the rules when you get there. 100% you'll have fun. Just stay safe if you not a good swimmer cuz there are some deep parts...

Awesome place to play with the kids! Cliff jumping was great. Accessible for my 9 and 6 year old (6 needed a life jacket). There's a pretty nice walled in swimming area where my toddler played and a larger walled in area shallow enough to walk around in for older kids. Small playground, but the real fun is in the water. Lots of trees for shade around the park.

Beautiful little lake with lots of grass and picnic tables, shade trees, a nice little sandy beach and lots of dock space enclosing an area to create a swimming pool type space. Nice bathrooms and the coolest lava rock cliffs surround almost the entire thing.

Was nice and quiet early in the morning. Caught some fish and watched Geese pairs with there goslings.

Great place to have a BBQ and get wet...just wish it was dog friendly or if it was posted somewhere online no dogs allowed

I doubted the world too much thinking it might still be too cold today. It was perfect for my exercise swim. Swam across the entire length of the lake stretched on the remote dock for 10 minutes and then swam the whole length back. Absolutely wonderful Open water with no motor disruptions. Today there was hardly any wind and only two paddle boards out there. The water was very smooth. The water is dingy and smelly to swim in near the docks, but not far off the docks it is more fresh like. Not clear water by any means.

Very cool park with nearly every type every outdoor recreation activity available here. Would love to come back here again.

We walked the lake trail, it was my first time even though I've been to Dierkes lake several hundred times when I was younger. I've been back to the hidden lakes as well, just never past them. My suggestion to people wanting to go on the trail, start from the parking lot, it's mostly flat and down hill, some stairs with the majority of the stairs in the middle of the trail as you descend into the canyon. If you start from the park and grassy area, it's uphill 3/4 of the way plus the stairs. Wear good shoes and bring water and use sunscreen. The trail goes all the way around the lake and has other trails to explore. It's a decent hike, but you do have to pay to get down to Dierkes and the Shoshone Falls and the fee currently is $5 a vehicle. There is plenty of parking at Dierkes lake, and you can swim, kayak or fish in certain areas as well.
