By far the best place in the area for breakfast. There has been an Amphora's in the area for decades, with good reason. The service is classic excellence. The servers are attentive without hovering. The breakfast? I've yet the select an item that is less than great. And save room for their bakery. World class.

Amphora's Diner in Herndon, VA is a great diner. There 3 main things I love about Amphora's: #1) The selection - There are over 6 pages of menu items with many types of items including breakfast items, animal proteins, salads, baked goods, and others. #2) The staff was very friendly, very attentive, and allowed me to customize my order to accommodate dietary restrictions. #3) The diner is large and has a 1950's diner feel. Walking into Amphor's diner was a bit like walking into a time warp. While a tad pricey, I can and will eat at Amphora's diner again.

I have dined here for breakfast few times, love the decor, typical diner ambiance. Service is good but not exceptional. Coffee is good. This time I ordered the French Toast with a side of crispy bacon; the bacon was cooked to perfection, but the french toast was dried. I will patronize this establishment again.

This place is big and the acoustics make it very loud. Several styles of eggs Benedict i would suggest the Italian. Hollandaise sauce is homemade but bland. The home fries are really good. Service is good. The menu is huge

We needed a good family restaurant off of the highway not too far from 28. My family had steak and eggs, omelette and bacon. I had the chopped sirloin dinner with mushroom gravy. Wow!!!!! It was fantastic. Please go here, it’s worth it. I highly recommend it. The waiter was so nice to me even though my son was very rude in my opinion.

Damn good, Homemade with a full bar. I had the Chicken and waffles with a White Russian Crispy tender waffle and a freshly breaded chicken breast

This is a remarkable place to stop and eat. We absolutely loved it!! A quiet but refined diner with delicious food and wonderful service. We came for dinner one evening and breakfast another day and were equally satisfied. The food is scratch made and they even have their own bakery and make cakes, cookies and pies. I loved the coffee too. All in all, this place is absolutely worth your time and business and I only wish we lived closer!!

Came here on a Sunday around 11am. Hoping to beat the crowds, but no luck. This place is quite popular with it long history and wonderful pastries available. I believe they were short staffed when we visited. The food was ok, the meals presented rushed though taking a while to get our food. I have previously always enjoyed coming here, hoping I just caught them on a off day.
