I have passed by this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. Pleasantly surprised the overall experience. I asked for extra vegetables trying to be health conscious instead I just got a very big portion, period. I asked for reduced salt and sauce and they actually listened! When a meal at a fast food restaurant is easily $10, this freshly made dish for $15 is a great deal.

As a frequent customer here, the food and service has always been consistently excellent. The workers here are very kind and friendly. Their fried shrimp is consistently crispy and packs a ton of flavor. Their orange chicken is consistently tangy and sweet. For parties, they can carry out big orders. Additionally, everything on their menu is delicious and cooked with love. If you’re ever in Herndon, stop by Hunan Cafe. You won’t regret it!

The lady who took my order over the phone was very friendly and professional. I ordered from this restaurant for delivery before, usually, when I have contractors/technicians working at my house, and the service and food are consistently great. The dishes made with a brown sauce tasted very similar, probably because it's the same sauce, just different meat and vegetable combination. The food is not authentic Chinese, but it is pretty good for an American Chinese carryout establishments. They do use good size shrimp and scallops. The honey spare ribs were good, and my dogs like them. 😋🐕🐕 If I were to order next time, I will stick to the shrimp and broccoli, or a white sauce dish. The order was delivered with lots of sauces, paper plates, forks and fortune cookies. I like that the food was placed in plastic, tightly sealed containers. The delivery young man was very friendly and pleasant. He greeted me with a smile. I will definitely order from this restaurant again.

Do appreciate the No-MSG. Taste of vegetable Fried Rice vey good. I was kind of shocked at the Dine-in environment - has a very sorry and gloomy aspect. It made me wonder if the owners of this place even care about the business at all when I went to pick up my order today. I’m still asking myself if I would order again from this place. The answer is no… The taste is good, and as mentioned what got my attention was their claim of no MSG. But, I just don’t see the value. Hunan charges $9+ dollars for a One person serving of take-out Vegetable fried Rice, and the portion is the smallest I’ve seen - ever… Same with Spring Rolls. Two very small rolls. This was a disappointing experience, and that is being very polite!

Got some catering from Hunan Cafe, everything was so fresh and delicious, definitely recommend if you're near the area

Hi. I ordered no. 103. Green Beans with Beef Sezhuan. And there's no Beef?! Only Beans! I mean I ordered mainly for the beef. And I clearly said no. 103. Seriously, $ 12.35 for just beans. It's too late to go back to your restaurant coz you are closed by the time I opened it later. I can't come back to your restaurant coz I'm just staying for a night at the hotel nearby. Please confirm your order with your customers before making them pay! Not happy.

A horrible place. Food is not bad but their service and manners are horrible. Two girls are at front got training from a Lie school. It’s a Chinese fast food restaurant, I placed an online order for a soup and an appetizer on Sunday evening. I was told it will take 15 mins. 26 mins later when I went there they said they just received the order, and it will take another 30 mins. But the order receipt was just sitting there, they paid no attention and lied about it. I waited another 15 mins and asked them for status and I was told another 30 mins. When I asked them to cancel the order they were very unpleasant. After 1 hour 15 mins I went to another restaurant. This restaurant is absolutely a horrible place.
