I apologize in advance, this is longā€¦ I have included a photo of my nails at top/my reference photo at bottomā€¦ So I really hate to leave bad reviews, but I feel that, for the price I paid, I absolutely did not get the extensive, elaborate nail art experience I paid for. This was my first time at any PAINT nail bar, ever. I will admit I called ahead to let them know I was running behind, but I still managed to arrive in the salon exactly two minutes past the start time of my appointment for a gel removal/elaborate gel nail art/the selection of an add-on of a extended hand massage. My nail stylist, however, was much later arriving than I wasā€¦ when my nail stylist arrived and I was finally called back, she did a nice job on my cuticles, but she did cut my skin on my ring finger (which you can see in the photo how red it was). I know that happens sometimes, but I felt like I should mention it, as the redness it is obvious in the photoā€¦ I became very uneasy when my stylist did not want to use the reference photo I provided her with for my nails, and instead said weā€™d ā€œlook at it if we needed to.ā€ She did a great job with the main black color, but when she began to attempt the floral design, her work was sloppy and nothing like what I wanted. I politely had her redo the flowers after she drew the first one on, and I pulled out the photo and left my phone open with it for her to see, hoping as she progressed she would add more detail and make the flowers look more bright/clear and add the gold accent designs and such in my photo. But when she began applying a clear top coat on the nails I have pictured below, I asked if she was not going to be using the gold color she had pulled out beside her at the station. She didnā€™t really say anything, so I asked again. She then told me something about how weā€™d have to do that "next time" and was sorry I wasnā€™t pleased with my nails, but she continued to apply a top coat on my nails, despite me trying to tell her again that I wanted her to add more detail, that they looked plain and nothing like my reference photo. I am very much a pushover and have a hard time being assertive, so I was a bit thrown off and unsure of how to handle this situation. Especially because the girl from the front bar area had brought her the next client after meā€™s info by this point, and it felt like I was being forced/rushed out. I told her clearly many times in one way or another that I wasnā€™t please that they were plain, that I wanted her to add something, anything, to make them look a bit more presentableā€¦ but instead I was told to just deal with them basically and whisked off, no hand massage, just a quick application of lotion and not a word about the extended hand massage I was booked for. When I approached the front desk, I was assertive enough to ask them to get the extended hand massage taken off my charge, but I did not feel I could stand up for myself anymore as the nail stylist had repeatedly dismissed my concerns about my nails. And she let me leave, knowing I was not happy with them, knowing she did not paint them anything at all close to the reference photo I offered her. I still paidā€” and even tippedā€” because I WAS given a manicure, but I was honestly so unhappy with the final result that I actually went and got them immediately redone elsewhere. Honestly, I would not go back, based on that experience, nor would I recommend anyone else go there because of the poor and rushed quality of this "elaborate nail art" I was given/pretty much overcharged for, for and the lack of care for customer concerns/overall satisfaction.

I am very torn on my review, but at this point Iā€™m really frustrated. My daughter has been going here for a long time and her nails always look amazing, she has the same tech each time and she really seems to know what sheā€™s doing. My daughter gets the bio seed. My first appointment was scheduled with a tech that did bio seed as that is what I wanted. The day of, I was told the tech was out sick and my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I was extremely annoyed because this was for my birthday and my daughter and I were booked together for a day out, on my day off. This was in October. They said the only way I could keep my appointment would be to see a different tech and to get gel x. I reluctantly did this because from what I had read and been told and from my daughterā€™s nails, the bio seed last longer than the gel x. The cost for nails at paint bar is extremely higher than other nail places so to me, they should last a decent amount of time. At two weeks my nails were all peeling up and starting to break and my next appointment was still a week or so away, I let them know about the peeling and I was told that they were just due to be redone. So I did my best to keep the nails on. My next appointment rolled around and they called the same day again to cancel, the tech was out sick. I was again very annoyed with this and had to reschedule again, but because of the reschedule I could not get the tech I had scheduled and wanted. My nails started really peeling up at this point so I asked for a complementary soak off which was agreed to. When I arrived for my soak off, they told me the tech I was scheduled with was still busy so they put me with another techā€¦ the tech who did the soak off seemed annoyed and rushed, she rushed the soaking part so the product did not come off easily, so she used the players to rip it off instead. Leaving me with very thin brittle nails that all broke before my next appointment. Next appointmentā€¦. I was again not scheduled with the tech I wanted but I was reassured that the tech I was scheduled with was really good. The attached pictures are what my nails looked like after that visit, which cost me $80 before tipping. I had come in with intentions of doing nail art and I was told she didnā€™t have time for that, yet I was there for 2.5 hours. After talking to the owner I was refunded and she made sure that my next appointment (today) would be with the tech I had been asking for all along. I just got the phone call that my appointment has been cancelled again, the tech is out sick. My nails are now 3 weeks old and the tech that I want, is not available in the near future so itā€™s being suggested that I again try another tech in hopes my nails turn out good. I am a teaching assistant so taking time off work to get my nails done is impossible so I look for school holidays or evenings to get these done and every time itā€™s cancelled I am put in a difficult situation to try to reschedule. While I really appreciate the owner refunding me after all the issues, I really just want to be able to get my nails done and keep my appointments. My daughter still uses the same tech and it seems like her appointment is NEVER cancelled so imagine the extra frustration when mine always does. This is now the 4th time this has happened so thatā€™s why I felt the need to leave the review.

First time visiting the nail bar and it was the best nail experience Iā€™ve ever had. The mimosa was awesome and the customer service is top notch. Tiffany was my artist and I will most definitely be coming back! She took the time to figure out what I liked because I went in not having a clue what I wanted. She was patient and caring. Her work is A1!

I do not think I can say enough amazing things about this place. The atmosphere, the staff, the quality products, it's just all amazing. I've always felt welcomed and look forward to going back to see everyone and catch up. I'll continue to give them my business as long as I can - as they continue to provide awesome quality. Seeing the pride the staff have in their work and how they enjoy sharing what they've done is awesome. The best group of folks I've met.

I absolutely love going to PAINT and seeing my girl, Claire! She is a phenomenal artist. Everyone there is so friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

Claire did a great job with the manicure (and pedicure) of my natural nails. She really listened to what I needed. I was happy that she didn't cut my nails short!

Loved the vibe, but my nails chipped later the same day! I didnā€™t have time to get them fixed since I was going out of town. I had gone to PAINT with two other people. One also had several gel nails peel after three days! We had the same nail technician for our manicures. The third person in our group had a different tech and their nails lasted two weeks (gel) with no chipping or peeling. So I guess it largely depends on your tech. I wonā€™t go back again-itā€™s too risky if you have an event or need your nails done for a special occasion.
