This place is soooooo good. I remember going here when younger and always being excited to go, and me and my friends would go just for the free fudge samples LOL. But overall it is really good, they have quality fresh products and a variety of foods you can choose from. Only bummer is they’re open I think only three days out of the week, otherwise I’d probably go everyday. But going is always worth it. And If you go here for the first time, listen to everyone when they say try the fried chicken! I’ve tried all kinds of fried chicken, but theirs takes the cake!

Hands down the best fried chicken around the area. Their BBQ wings and potato wedges are also phenomenal. Make sure to get amish macaroni salad and deviled eggs too. Lines can be really long during the weekend lunch time, but it tends to move pretty quick. Super friendly staffs.

I'm a long time a very passionate with Amish quality, products and service. I bought a middle size of honey jar. The honey was completely solid, like a peace of rock (it's not what I want it). I try to return it and exchange and/or /pay more for other honey jar, the lady didn't accept it, because when my husband try to use it, the spoon, left some scratch in the "solid honey". As a customer I was very disappointed. Understand we don't have a customer rights over there.

Great place, great food and grocery/butcher shoppes. It is like a much smaller version of Reading terminal in Philly. Odd hours though, Thursday, Friday and Saturday only, I think. Definitely check before you go. Best place to go in MoCo for fresh chicken beef and pork.

Everyone who works here is SO incredibly kind. High quality food! The coffee could be better but I’m still coming back for it ☻ I’ll just say this: they have DARK CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON !!! Also the donuts are not to be missed.

This place is love at first sight. Moved recently from outside Philadelphia to Clarksburg and starting to find the gems in the area. Will be back weekly for meat products and all the homemade treats.

I am utterly disappointed with the constant price hike on the once-affordable, good quality food at Lancaster County Dutch Market. It is disheartening to witness a blatant disregard for the loyal customers who have supported this establishment for years. Unfortunately, the inflated prices have completely soured my experience, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. First and foremost, what drew me to Dutch Market initially was their commitment to providing high-quality food at reasonable prices. Their fresh produce, dairy products, and meats were once an absolute delight. I believed I had found a reliable source for nutritious, affordable groceries. However, the past 5 years continues price increase has shattered this illusion, leaving me disillusioned and frustrated. For example, cooked chicken wings price went from $5.99 per pound in 2018 to $12.99 in 2023.

Fresh, high quality, and delicious foods of all types. Their vegetables and fruits are fresh and vibrant. Their butcher shop has an extensive selection of quality meats. Their ice cream is delicious. Their kings BBQ is has the best fried chicken I've had at a very affordable price. The people there are also very responsive and friendly. All around amazing place for groceries or a quick meal.

The best pies in Maryland! This place is so much. The chicken and potato wedges nearly almost have a long line. But stop by the booths with candy, vegetables, pies, and ice cream. A nice little place to get unique grocery items.

This is my favorite place to eat and shop in Germantown. I can't stop without getting something from Lapp's pretzels or the bakery. They have very limited hours but the selection and quality of all the individual shops makes the trip more than worthwhile. Several of the stores have upgraded their point of sale terminals and all seem to take plastic.

I wish we had one of these markets on the West Coast. I was introduced to the Dutch markets when I lived in New Jersey. I appreciate the fresh turkey products that I love. I have never had smoked turkey steaks; Amazing. Their turkey bacon … game changer. I don’t eat beef and I bought a T-bone steak home. I got to get something from the meat market and bakery shipped to me❣️

I like your business in general. I acknowledge you have tons of customers therefore I always order the food to go first, specially if I buy at the Dutch Family Restaurant, and then proceed with the rest of my purchases. Today I decided to show my hubby why I like this place so much, but... waiting for the food about an hour is not. We've checked a couple of times and the answer was always, "will be ready in a few minutes", that never happened, not even for a grilled cheese nor the wrap or the burguers. It wasn't five cents. We waited and saw how previous orders were dispatch as well as people dinning at the place. 5 minutes to 3pm they were cleaning and our order wasn't on sight. I know you can do better. Just don't lie saying it is ready, when the cookers already cleaned their kitchen. I gave my feedback to the supervisor, but it seemed they have so many customers that they don't really care about small orders... I think every penny counts in a business, but oh well, it is just me.

I love this place but please be aware of your bill at wings stand. This is the third time I was being overcharged. The food is amazing but you have to be very careful about your total amount. It’s always crazy busy and they just can keep track. Make your numbers based on the menu prices and let them know they are wrong.

Love this place. We live in Hagerstown and went to Germantown for the Pig and Chicken Roast. Got 4 leg/thigh grilled chicken, 1/2 chicken, and 4 Sausage and Cheese logs. DELICIOUS!!!

EVERYTHING is good! Worth the drive, time in line, hours of business. My favorites are their fried chicken, sausage coopers, broccoli and cauliflower salad, and their very wonderful and heartwarming chicken pie. Don't get the small to try, get the regular size because you will wish you had. And get more than one. You and your family will thank you for it!

The soft pretzel was quite delicious, ad was this breaded rost beef item at the same counter. The entire place was extremely busy/popular. Unfortunately, the loaf bread shelves were already near empty during my short visit. Hopefully will have the opportunity to visit again.

This place is the BEST. I can always count on quality here from meats, cheese, vegetables, candy and desserts and quality furniture. If you haven't experienced the Dutch market you must go. They are always friendly and ready to help. Their products are excellent and the food is delish! I love the sausage cooper. We always have to get at least 2 to go!

When my family and I shop at the Dutch Market, we get allt the tasty hot chicken and potato wedges. And we get those tasty salads to make a tasty meal. Can't forget about these yummy pretzel, hot dog pretzels. I could mention all and it would be worth the mentioning but I'll run out of characters expressing the delicious items. Go and enjoy the experience.

This place has everything, but I keep coming back for one thing, the donuts! With a multitude of flavors, toppings, and baked goods, they have it all! Apple fritters, glazed, chocolate iced, anything! I don’t come often, but when I’m around the area, I’ll take the time to stop by!

I like to go early on Thursday simply because this location is super small inside so it’s best to go when they first open. I like the fresh eggs, produce and chicken. The fresh lemonade is also a favorite. They also have a bakery and cheese booth that’s yummy.

I've been going here ever since they opened like 20 years ago. Always loved their fried chicken and pretzels. My recent trips (since Covid) have not been as good as before. Fried chickens are still good but smaller, pretzels are not as good either. Still going (matter fact, I was there this morning) but just not as good as pre-Covid days, IMHO.

Mannn If you have never gone to the Dutch market for breakfast lunch or dinner you better put this place when you're on your want to go list. Homemade goods and fresh vegetables fudge pretzels cakes pause homemade. Ummmm good!

I love this market. They have a lot of varieties of food selections. The banana pudding is my favorite one.

  • 5/5 Casey C. 2 years ago on Google
Bakery selection was awesome. They had doggie donuts. Also, you can get a hot dog with cheese wrapped in homemade pretzel dough. Delicious!

This Amish market is the best and only in the area, it has some of the best organic dishes you can eat there or take it home and they also have other things like for example furniture made by them. Very fine and well made. I love their presence de have a different variety of them like the classic, cinnamon sugar, roast beef, sausage, hot dogs all kind. Also their fried chicken and fried potatoes wedges are the best, very tasty. The market is open only from Thursday to Saturday. Avoid going at lunch time because it's very crowded at that time, better go earlier or in the afternoon but they close early so check before going. Also going during lunchtime parking gets very crowded and it's hard to find a spot so as I wrote before go early or late in the afternoon right before they close and everything will be smooth. Try this market, you won't regret 👍👍👍

I grew up with this place as an institution. Only the finest quality foods and products. Service is prompt and friendly, and prices are always reasonable. I never fail to feel like Charlie in the chocolate factory - only less decadent. It’s worth it for the breakfast alone. But arrive early, as seating fills up fast with hangry diners!

Place is always good, very good quality and you pay for it. Bakery is great as well as the pretzel, pretzel loaf stand. King Chicken is out of site, but you have to time your visit, it is not uncommon to have 30 people in line, but it moves fast. The workers here are great, super polite. The parking lot is a bit crazy when it gets busy. Only open Thursday through Saturday and close relatively early
