The pub looks really nice. The service is really good. The bar looks awesome. The prices are average. The food was average. My food contained extra hair despite not having ordered any hair. I'm not a fan of chicken schnitzels, chips, salads and a side dish of hair. I will not be returning ever again because my autism dictates that food with hair is a no return game.

Great little hotel, especially convenient when you need a room at the last minute. The rooms have everything you need. It's not super flash, but it gets the job done. There is a pub/bar downstairs to get some food. However, if you do come on a Saturday night, be mindful that it will be quite noisy, as they have disco nights. If you can sleep through that, you'll be alright 👍

An easy two nights stay, great accommodation for a great price, clean and tidy everywhere throughout during my entire stay. I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness on Sunday morning when I checked out in the external area(footpath area) I was all hosed down and smelt amazing not like a nightclub happened the night before. I am so impressed by my stay I was already working out when I was staying next. Well done to every staff member that makes this place tick. You are all incredible. It's no easy feat to impress me as I've worked in hospitality for many years (currently work in another industry) and I have not one issue at all, that deserves 5 stars and then some. Your standards were impressive and impeccable. Thank you all for your service and an enjoyable stay.

Stayed for 1 week for work. Stayed in my hotel room the entire week except for the last night. Had dinner at the hotel which was amazing but the bar staff was absolutely disgraceful. The disgraceful language that came from their mouths was disgusting! Worst service I have ever encountered! The only reason I would stay again at this hotel is because of the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. Not all of the staff but a selected few have made me consider staying again. I did have the privilege of meeting the owner and he was lovely but he really needs to look into who is looking after his business

I would not stay at this hotel again. The staff are lovely and the Hotel is in a great position, however my experience was not very pleasant. Staying in Gosford for course with early starts, I didn’t appreciate being woken up several times overnight by patrons yelling and having domestic arguments in the accommodation area. It doesn’t appear that anybody came up to the third floor to deal with this. It would be nice if the Hotel would prioritise parking for those patrons who are actually staying overnight at the hotel. Although, this probably won’t happen because they would make more money out of alcohol sales than they would from accommodation. Therefore, I would not be inclined to stay at this hotel again when I return to Gosford.

The food is pretty good. They stop cocktails at 9 and sometimes even before. After 9.30 it's a night club..mostly people 18/19. Avoid after that time if it's not your scene! Or the karoke room has an older crowd on friday nights and is fun.

Food always good Service too. The menu is not huge but has enough for everyone. They could do with a bit of a change up on the menu but all is good and they do have specials as well. Nice place to meet up with friends, be it in the sports bar or having dinner in the dining room.

Convenient location, right opposite the train station. The lobby smells a bit funky but the upstairs area for the hotel rooms smell fine. Lift very old fashioned and interesting. The rooms kinda old but clean and has everything necessary. Good value for money. Sound proof is not great, can hear music from downstairs very clearly until they close at around 2-3am on Friday night. Good vibes though.

I booked accommodation for four nights and cancelled 30mins later. Check-in closed at 10pm and it was 830pm. When I rang, the person said it was cool to arrive after that. I was not aware of the 2am check-in, 4hr train trip and $100 key deposit. The amount was paid in full to the hotel, but neither the third party supplier or hotel have agreed to a refund/part refund.

We have just had the most amazing lunch, the food was so fresh and beautifully presented as well as being very reasonably priced. The staff were all incredible and service was impeccable - such an amazing experience

We had lunch at Earl's Kitchen, Hotel Gosford. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great ambience. Excellent service. Amazing food. Highly recommended.

The venue looks promising, the staff was friendly but overall it was disappointing. I had a naked burger but they served it on a paper napkin? Some salad would have been good. Chips were ok but not yam chips which I would have preferred. My partner ordered a NY Sirloin and had it served cut up into small pieces like you would serve to a five year old who eats steak. He had to ask for english mustard on the side to keep it hot but they gave him Dijon instead. Will definitely try the steakhouse down the road next time.

Hotel Gosford was a pleasant surprise in visiting for the first time in many years. The hotel has undergone a very tasteful facelift top to bottom. Just as important, the menu, quality of food and service too has improved. The menu has traditional pub favourites whilst offering a very diverse and quality selection of chefs specials. Lots of beer on tap served by smiling staff is a bonus.

Wow, what a experience, thought I share my experience we (me & wife & 9 year daughter) spend Saturday night here for a Karate competition on Sunday. One of the worst places I stayed overnight. If I could rate a zero, I would. We were in 3rd level and the noise from the club below was clear in our room. This went til 2am and we next to the toilets and people in next room were noisey all night. Could not sleep at all.i am writing this at 4am. If you need someplace for peace and quiet, do not stay here. The only positive thing about this place is the restaurant.Very disappointed Hotel Gosford.

Been a while since I have been here, massive improvement on ore-covid days. Good drink selection, nice staff and variety of rooms. Didn't get a chance to taste the food.

Incredible value for money. I've stayed in a few pub rooms this year and this is 100% the best. Fun club, great layout, sweet staff, awesome food, beautiful comfortable rooms. I was really really happy with my stay at hotel gosford and will definitely be coming back, regardless of distance

Parking is very hard to get especially at lunch and dinner times. The food however is very professional and as expected a little bit more on the pricey side but that is explained by the quality and taste. The service was quick and very kind. If you're looking for quality food, service and just a nice meal I recommend eating here. Also the Caesar salad is amazing!

At a loose end on Sunday morning, we took the train from West Ryde to Gosford. That trip along and around the Hawkesbury River is an absolute delight and will show you hidden delights of this beautiful river you would find difficult to see any other way. Upon alighting at Gosford Station , we went looking for a likely venue for lunch . Close by, we spotted the newly renovated Hotel Gosford, and it is very impressive to say the least . Staff brilliant, helpful , informative and chatty , this in spite of the fact Sunday lunch is a very busy time for them . A very full menu is on offer as is a comprehensive drink menu . Great location and venue, would recommend.

Went for a couple of lunches here and they were both very good. The dining section is really nice as well, nice high ceilings, big screen and access to open air all contribute positively to the ambience.

Went here for Saturday lunch. The food was good and came out quickly. Cheeseburger was homemade patty and pretty great. No complaints from anyone in my group of 10 and the beef cheek looked legit. They had a fireplace ready to be lit which would be great for a wintry weekend meal. The place looked good and the reno made it look fresh and clean. The bar tender was nice enough to make the kids some ice chocolates when we found out there were no milkshakes which was cool of them.. I'd go again

I've had lunch here on a number of occasions without a complaint. Had lunch once again on Saturday 20th May. Whilst the majority of the staff were delightful. One person working on the bar had an attitude that left much to be desired. Having said that, everyone has bad days, even in hospitality. Ordered fish and chips and a Prawn Linguine. The quality of the food was good. The quantity however... another issue altogether. One very small piece of fish served with an excessive amount of chips and a side salad that was really more of a garnish. In the Prawn Linguine there were (3) three prawns. Five (5) I could understand, but three ? In terms of the pasta too, a very small serving. Its a shame because its otherwise its a good pub. There are a number of good pubs and lunch alternatives in the Gosford area who are direct competition so they really lift their game in the kitchen.

I've been to this pub a few times now and although the make-over is excellent, I don't believe the food has been so far - I've tried the salt & pepper squid, although cooked well and the serving size is generous, the coating was soggy, the lamb skewers were chewy, pork skewers dry and Korean chicken also dry and very salty. I can't review any of the other food on the menu, because I haven't tried it, however, the steak looked good! I just think quality should equal the value and the chefs should taste their food.

Pulled up short of Sydney on a road trip and stayed here. I wanted to get a little more power into the battery, so after checking in at 4:30, I checked to apps for charging sites. This area only has a few, and many only open business hours or only Tesla charging. Gave up after 25km and 50 minutes driving around. Came back to the hotel and parked next to a power outlet. I got less than 50km into the battery overnight, but it was enough to get me to outer Sydney charging stations.
