It is extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone to arrange an appointment so I would highly recommend calling in advance. This may be due to the C-19 pandemic, but I have yet to have an actual person answer the phone. Update: Knocking another star of my review. I have been with Behavioral Health Choices for a year now and have yet to get an actual person on the phone when I call. It is not only frustrating, but it reflects extremely poorly on Behavioral Health Choices. The receptionists is your first point of contact, and if you can't get a hold of them it honestly makes you feel like they don't value you. I love my therapist, but the difficulty of making, canceling, or simply updating appointment times has really made we want to search for another provider. I'm really sad to have to say that. If I don't receive a call back, I'm tempted to contact the BBB Update 2: I specifically told my therapist (who is awesome) that I would be away for two weeks and could not continue my normal schedule visits until I get back. However, I keep on receiving automated messages for appointments that I DID NOT schedule. I am at the point where I have to knock yet another start off my review. The way office staff treat patients is flat out nasty. I will be looking for another provider.

I liked my counselor there a lot, she’s great. So is the couples therapist and second therapist I worked with, he was also great. It seems the counselors are very good at their jobs. However, the overall operation of this place is terrible. I’ve been calling and leaving messages for 3-4 weeks now with no returned call. I originally called to reschedule my counseling apt I had that day 4 weeks ago, and kept calling every week to keep trying to get an apt for my counselor and psychiatrist. Never a phone call back. But yet they charged me a $50 no show fee when I keep calling to try and make an apt and no one wants to return calls. And I haven’t had my medication in a month, thank goodness I don’t depend on them to function like other clients may. Other reviews say similar things about their inability to return calls. Missing one I can, but I’ve been calling every week. I left a final message today. If my call isn’t returned today I’m seeking services elsewhere, and hopefully they stop charging my card! The two times I did see their psychiatrist, the apt was over 45 minutes late to get started and I was rushed, spoken over, not listened to, and only given 15 minutes even for the initial apt. Update: I moved services for this reason of psychiatry care and lack of return calls, and ultimately saw my former therapist from lifestance separately via his own business outside of lifestance health since he’s licensed.

Mental health care has been subpar, my therapist was fine, but the reception staff is exceptionally rude though. Called in to ask about a letter I received and was given a snarky answer, told I would need to pay $120 out of pocket in order to get refills on my meds and then hung up on as I was in the middle of asking another question. Had to call back to finish asking my question and the receptionist (I think her name was Kate or Katie) huffed and puffed when giving me my answer. I’ve since moved to telemedicine and am much more satisfied with my care. As someone who has seen quite a few of the counselors/psychiatrists here, I can confidently say about 90% of them do not care about patients aside from taking their money. Truly an embarrassing way to run a practice, the people running this business should genuinely be ashamed of themselves and the reception staff should all be replaced for the way they’ve treated patients (as seen in a multitude of other reviews)

Disappointed that I have to find a new doctor. Dr. Vogt has been helpful but her staff has made it abundantly clear that patience welfare is no longer a priority. They stopped accepting certain insurance providers with no formal notice to the patients that this had happened, only finding out when I was told I would be paying full cost out of pocket for the appointment. Was hung up on when I first called in about this and was later told I was out of luck unless I paid. I then called in about 2 weeks ago after experiencing painful withdrawal symptoms from running out of medication and having no continuation of care set up, not even a reference to another office that could accept me as a patient. I called in to speak with Dr. Vogt, was hung up on the first call, and ignored for a dozen calls after that with still to this day, 4/13/2022, have received no communication from the office. My calls to the office go unanswered still. As a medical professional, I would be gravely concerned at the level of care my patients are getting from others in my office. I am thankful that the young woman who hung up on me did it in 2022 and not 2017 when I was in a darker place, I may not have been here to write you this warning. Before you become a patient here, please consider that if you call the receptionist on the wrong day or time, she will completely stone wall you from speaking with your doctor and refuse to answer the phone. I'm no lawyer so I don't know if thats malpractice. But I don't know how as a professional in the mental health field how you could ever, EVER, hang the phone up on a patient seeking medical help. Still blown away thinking about it today. Do yourself, and any of those who care about your wellbeing, a favor and find an office with professionals.

I wish I would have read the reviews before coming into get my Qb test done here. Seems I'm not the only one who's had poor experience with the receptionist. I only ever had virtual appts here and after being snapped at today I'm 100% sure that I will not be back. The staff was so unprofessional with me. No one bothered to explain anything to me before my visit, and I'm sure she could tell from my tone and my body language that I was frustrated. I asked a lot of questions but never said anything impolite and didn't expect to be full blown yelled at for outwardly expressing my emotions. Hard to imagine why someone like that would be working in MENTAL HEALTH care, where patients are seeking help and understanding.

I find it very interesting how all of the 5-star reviews of this practice are from recently, coinciding with when the office merged with LifeStance Health and then sent out a text asking for reviews of the practice. I initially did not want to share via google so I responded via text, which went unanswered. I previously saw a different provider at this practice who was fantastic. I felt she genuinely cared about my situation, and made sure that I felt comfortable with the plan for my mental health. She left the practice abruptly and her patients were not provided with a call regarding this departure: only when I called regarding meds was I informed of this change. I have since been seeing Dr. Vogt. I am sure that everyone is very busy and stressed, but in my time seeing her I have often waited far beyond my appointment time to speak with her, have felt rushed, talked over, and ultimately am very disappointed with this practice. I have not had issues with my calls not being returned or not being able to reach someone as other reviews have mentioned. Truly, I would not recommend this practice to a friend if they were in need of mental healthcare.

Doctor's are nice enough but the office is very difficult to work with, rude, and uninformed. Plus, they stopped working with certain insurance providers recently without warning. For something as critical as mental health, this place makes it nearly impossible to get needed support.

Despite an abundance of evidence showing its efficacy, and numerous testimonials from patients affirming so, Karen Osborne at Behavioral Health Choices does not believe in prescribing stimulant medication for ADHD. Additionally, she did not return a follow-up email after my first appointment where I sent requested information. I would avoid rogue doctors arrogant enough to believe they know better than well-established medical literature.

Only my therapist is good but will no longer be seeing the psychiatrist here due to the absolutely horrendous handling of medication refills. It took two weeks, 4 calls and an email to get it refilled after I had entered withdrawal. Second time this has happened. I entered a formal complaint, but can never recommend this place if you need medication. A malpractice suit waiting to happen.

The company I work for changed insurance companies this year, so I called in to report the change. I gave them the info and was told everything was good. I had a 5-10 minute or so video conference with my doctor for her to authorize a prescription refill. I was billed $405 dollars for a "16-30 minute psych eval". 0 to the insurance company Absolutely outrageous. I called THE MORNING OF THE APPOINTMENT to confirm everything was squared away with my insurance and was told yes.

I cannot say enough good things about the office staff! They are the kindest, friendliest group. I went to BHC yesterday for a test although I was not a patient. I had trouble finding my Dr's fax number and they helped me call to get it (many places would have bit my head off for not having it, let alone help me get it). They helped me through the testing process. After the appointment, my car broke down. They let me sit in the office, gave me water and snacks while I waited for a ride - heat index 105 degrees F+, I would've become sick waiting in the heat. They made a stress day much easier and I am very grateful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Monheit started yelling at me about sending my prescription to a pharmacy in Delaware. He seems to think he cannot send scripts over state lines. I tried to explain to him that we already went through this numerous times, but he just started yelling at me. I wouldn't send my dog to be treated by him.

Quickly got an appointment with a therapist that specializes in CBT for anxiety, as I requested. The facility was convenient and very pleasant. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Wait time is very short and the receptionist has a pleasant, professional personality. Dr. Jutta Vogt is awesome. She is straightforward and efficient with her consultation.

I’ve come to believe that 90% of success is getting a relatable person that you connect with. Courtney and the office staff are amazing!

I am so pleased with your Services. I recommend LifeStance Health. LifeStance provides both a Phychiatrist and Phychologists working together to give Patients a Strong Support System. LifeStance was there for me. I've tried for Decades to find both a Phychiatrist and Phychologists to give me the knowledge and support I need. LifeStance is a true Lifesaver. Spread the word.
