This community-supported garden is a little tricky to find, but worth the effort. Their pristine paved trails wind through shady groves of azaleas, rhododendrons and native plants to reach a picturesque pond. There are multiple benches to sit and enjoy the views. Admission is pay-what-you-wish and there is a decent-sized parking lot. Pets are not allowed. There are full restrooms in the welcome center/gift shop with native plants on sale. Young children can pick up an Explorers' kit and go on a scavenger hunt. I spotted more than a dozen different types of birds on my visit.

Great little free non-profit arboretum with an awesome educational center. Definitely worth a trip. Their specialties are azalea and rhododendron, so to experience the full wonder, time your trip for the spring flower season. Wonderful large trees. The pond is gorgeous. The director told us they were slowly restoring some native plants. The outdoor plant sale was very well priced and healthy plants. The inside plants were a little sad. We happened to hit an incredible iris exhibit and were blown away by the beauty. Yes, it's small but worth the trip. It's FREE!

Lovely nature, well nurtured. We visited in Summer - not the best time to see the blooms. However, it was still wonderful with the amazing tall trees just about everywhere. The lush greenery and the ever cooing birds was the attraction for us. The pond would be better watched during spring. The 1.2 miles of trail are well worth covering with enough time to spend and study. Will have to visit next spring again.

Loved it! Favorite part is the pond, we sat by it for atleast 10 minutes and only got up so another couple could enjoy the view. We could spend all day here, flowers are on point and it's so peaceful and relaxing. Plan on spending a hour here if your a nature lover and really look at all the plants and flowers <3 staff are super helpful and friendly. Dont forget to ask to have your garden passport checked at the desk! :)

I visited this garden last week when I was touring gardens from the passport book available for free at many of them. They had a beautiful welcome center with an art display and very knowledgeable and friendly volunteers. I wish I would have come sooner in the year to experience the azaleas and rhododendron growing throughout the hillsides. Next year! I did enjoy their peaceful walk and view of their pond. Definitely worth it!!

This is tucked into the hills, small parking area with a nice welcome center. It has a small shop inside and good size deck and some sculptures outside. The trails are mainly paved,  winding, at an incline or sharp decline and divides into other trails.  But there is plenty of signage so as to not get lost. Benches and seating areas found throughout. Rows of rhodedendrums which must be nice to see flowering in the spring. Worth Exploring!

FREE admission is making this place extra cool. Must visit in spring and little nice hike is good for all seasons. Trails are narrow and good for families. Make sure to get one vest for your kids in the visitor center (free as well) which comes with binoculars and lil kaleidoscope so that the little ones can be engaged throughout.

Beautiful garden. It has such an amazing collection of Azaleas and Rhododendrons. The pond area and woodland walk is also really wonderful. The annual plant sale has such a great collection of rhododendrons for sale.

Jenkins is a well kept garden…compact, with short trails that shoots off a circular, black top path. Some of these lead to (“secret”) secluded areas with a bench, ideal for quiet reflection and a beautiful view over the Great Valley. The pond adds the finishing touch to a well preserved gift by the Jenkins’ to …you. There is no restaurant on the site. Modern, clean restrooms are available at the shop area. The terrain is located on a fairly steep slope which would (in my opinion) make the use of wheelchairs and baby strollers difficult and perhaps risky. After a stroll through the garden in the middle of winter, I can’t wait to see what it will look like in the other seasons

Beautifully maintained small Arboretum that is open dawn to dusk everyday. New plantings added this year and all plants all look healthy and happy.

Wonderful arboretum full of paved paths and abundant trees and flora. I like the multitude of paths they have and that overall its in a loop. I’d say about 1.5 miles of unique path. It’s well shaded and there is incline and decline, so good cardio to be had. Best of all its free. Right now they have plant sales at the education center at the entrance. Come check this place out.

This was my second time here and I was able to explore more of the gardens. My 1 and 1/2 year old and I had an awesome time and made it all the way down to the pond. There are well labeled gardens and nice walking paths with lots of benches to take a break. We are looking forward to returning with more of our family. As long as children stay on the paths it can be a family friendly outing.

Very beautiful gardens with friendly staff and cute gift shop. Ample parking and trails. Some trails are uphill so be mindful. Beautiful pond with lily pads and flowers. Also many benches to sit down.

This is a local gem with gorgeous flowers and towering old trees, great for the whole family or just to get away on your own! Smells great, lots of benches, and the trails are very well maintained.

Missed out on all the azaleas. That would be beautiful. It's a peaceful place with nice trails across the hillside. Not large and can be seen in under an hour.

Nicest when azaleas are in bloom in early May. Steep hill so not handicap accessible. Small pleasant arboretum. Nice in fall also.

I really enjoyed the Arboretum & Gardens. The Azalea Walk and Elisabeth's Walk were some of the highlights of the garden.

👍👍 Highly recommend doing this 2.5 mile shady loop trail at Valley Forge. There's a short rocky climb to a spot where you ring a bell and enter your visit in the guest book. On the trip down, explore the ruins of a 19th century spring water bottling plant once owned by Hires. There's a small dam with a...
