Perfect location for everything. Amazing apartments. They have good floor plans with free gas and heat. They also have a swimming pool and two gyms. Absolutely love these apartments for many reasons. The managing staff are very friendly. They keep organizing community get togethers. The maintenance response is pretty quick. There are plenty trees around and it's great every season with the changing nature. Definitely recommend these apartments.

Love this place. I spent 3 months apartment hunting from the mainline to KOP to Norristown. Out of the 13 complexes and tours I've been through, 3 of which I revisited: Dekalb stood out. DeKalb was the only place that had a staff that showed such attentiveness to their prospective residents. My leasing agent, Lexus, not only remembered my face and who I came with (at my second visit after a 2 month gap), she remembered what I was looking for - apt size, amenities, pricing. AND listed all the new available apartments that fit my description from the top of her head. No notes. Needless to say, I was sold. The office is also very responsive to any issues , sometimes needs a reminder but anything brought to attention is always resolved. - premier bldg resident

The office staff need to be more polite and treat residents and prospective residents with more respect. KRISTINA is in another world very condescending and looks and acts unprofessional. So does the other woman who answered the phone I spoke with and my family member felt the same vibe. Tried to explain perhaps they misunderstood they were very rude and I would never want to live there, beware if they treat you like that in the beginning than I'd rather not have my family member live there. IGNORANT and look down on people that's funny because I am highly educated and I was taught to treat people everyone with respect. Do not move here!!!

The office management workers are horrible. I had a flood on Mother’s Day. We put in a call and the part time maintenance person put 6 inch by 6 inch hole to determine where the leak was coming from. The hole was too small to determine anything. We had ankle deep water in our kitchen, dining area and living room. The maintenance man called in a carpet company but we don’t have any carpets in those areas. When the man arrived he said he couldn’t do anything since we didn’t have carpets. He dropped off a fan and a dehumidifier and left. The water covered the above mentioned areas. Office staff didn’t even come down to see what we were complaining about. Their response to our asking for them to send in house keeping was that their part time maintenance man didn’t think it smelled. My dining room table and bench were ruined. They claim no responsibility and named our water problem a “ Mystery Leak”. Since we continued to complain and asked for help cleaning up the rooms and getting rid of the Oder, we were told they would let us out of the lease. Now because I complained, I find myself looking for another apartment.. My husband and I are senior citizens. This is wrong, especially since I am handicapped.

Very uncoordinated care here at Dekalb Apartments, I am currently in the process of trying to move in and so far it has been nothing short of a disaster. The apartment was supposed to be MOVE IN READY on August 15th, but they did not inform us that they would be laying new carpet down, making it impossible for me to move my furniture and belongings in. So the contractors rushed through the job and the carpet is not laying flat, making it a tripping hazard for me. Not to mention the maintenance issues that have to be fixed before I can even start living there. It has been over a week and I have not received any updates on the status of maintenance work. I have an outlet that is not working, a leaking sink, a bathroom door that is falling apart, and carpet that is not completed. I am very disappointed that I have to be the one to hunt these people down just to get a response. I have called, left messages, and emailed, and have not been getting updates about when it will be okay for me to fully move in. This is unacceptable, and I will not be renewing at the end of 11 months.

I put in a work order for my washing machine and dryer. Our maintenance man Dave came to look at them . Dave is the greatest. He found the problem with both machines , and got both running again . I hope you appreciate Dave , and let him know it. Thanks again Dave !!!

I moved into the Dekalb Apartments 6 weeks ago and I love it! The building is beautiful and clean. My apartment has high ceilings and lots of light. I felt at home immediately! The location is great-Starbucks and Applebees across the street. And Melinda and Christina in the office have been great-very responsive to any issues.

Spent about a year and a half here and having lived in a lot of apartments over the years, it was one of the best. Great staff and I never had pest or maintenance issues. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to rent in the area.
