Nova Pregnancy Help Center of Fairfax showed up on my search and I called them right away looking for information, they were closed so I left a voicemail. On monday morning I got a call from Kayla, scheduling me to come in the next day to do a pregnancy test and talk about my options. She was great at calming me down and said they would love to help me and support me through my pregnancy. Next day I went in, spoke with Linda for about one hour, she listened to all my concerns and worries, we did the pregnancy test, she gave me a list of self-pay OB's in the area and a lot of information about pregnancy. I left with my ultrasound scheduled. I went in for my ultrasound, I asked all my questions to the nurse, she was absolutely amazing, she answered everything and it made me feel comfortable the whole time, we saw our baby and they gave me the photos of the ultrasound, which was so special. I also got a lot of information about miscarriage, what to eat and not to eat, they gave me prenatal vitamins and morning sickness "medicine" (which I certainly needed). Before I left they told me about Earn while you learn program and asked me if I would like to do it, basically I would come in for 1hour a week, for 5 weeks and I would learn about pregnancy (God knows I needed), at the end of each session I would get credits that at the end I could trade in for baby stuff (car seat, pack and play, breast pump, a bag full of goodies for the baby, diapers and wipes). I came in week after week and I cannot tell you how excited I would get when I knew a class day was coming up, I learned so much and grew so much with those classes, every class I would leave with the feeling of "okay, you can do this, you can have a baby" I learned about infant CPR, what to expect on your first, second and third trimester, breast feeding, labor and delivery, how to care for a newborn, how to care for yourself after labor and so many other topics. I have all the work sheets saved in a binder so that I can go back and read everything on more time before baby girl arrives (2 more months to go :) ) I did my classes with Stacey, she was the most amazing human being I've ever met. I felt so comfortable with her after 2 minutes of meeting her. I would talk to her about my worries and she always made me feel like I had nothing to be worried about, that I was going to do great. I don't have any family in the US, since I'm from Portugal and she was my support here, she helped me so much through my pregnancy and I'm so grateful to her. When I first came in I was full of worries, concerns, self doubt, after every meeting with Stacey I would be excited, ready to do this whole pregnancy thing I finished my 5 classes and actually ended up doing on extra one, since I was not ready to let Stacey go, quite yet. They made sure that I got all the tools I needed and made time to meet with me one more time. I attached photos of the gifts I got from completing the Earn While you Learn program, I loved everything, they put so much love and care into everything they do at the center, that you just feel so blessed for having them in your life. You will find support there, you will find amazing people that will walk you through a new and scary chapter of your life. They will never let you feel alone and will do everything they can to help you and your baby. I just really want to say thank you to all these women at the center, they completely changed my pregnancy, I can now say that I'm ready to be a mom, which 7 months ago I would never thought it would be possible. Thank you so much and I will see you all in 2 months when baby girl is here and ready to meet you all.

When I received the surprise news of my pregnancy, I was scared and desperate for help. I found the NOVA Pregnancy Help Center through a Google search and made an appointment right away. The women I met with was so kind and non-judgmental as I talked through what was going on in my head. Not only did she listen to me without judgment and provided me with all my options, they also provided a free sonogram to confirm pregnancy. I have continued to go to the center weekly for Continued Care classes that have provided me with knowledge and advice that has been truly priceless. Through this I have also met another wonderful woman who has been going through this journey with me and will be my first mom friend :) I am forever grateful for this organization and all the women who have helped guide and support me these past few months. I highly recommended this organization to any women who needs guidance during a scary, lonely time.

I was initially disappointed to visit a free county clinic due to the long wait times, crowded clinics, and lack of support caused by the high number of patients. However, I discovered this clinic through Google and it far exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the staff members were genuinely supportive and showed great concern for my first-time care and pregnancy. They made sure I had a strong support system, which moved me to tears when the nurse personally escorted me to the bathroom, provided clear instructions on taking the pregnancy test, and conducted my ultrasound. Such personalized care is rare even in private offices. It was a truly blessed moment to share with them, and I am incredibly grateful. Despite my current financial struggles, I never expected to receive such compassionate care. I will always remember their kindness and keep them in my prayers.

I showed up to NOVA PHC around 10 weeks pregnant. That day I was just looking for a listening ear. The staff was very welcoming and made me feel safe and protected. I joined their direct care program have been attending weekly parenting classes ever since- I’m almost 36 weeks pregnant. Not only have I gained a wealth of knowledge and material support, but I also gained a lifelong friend and mentor through this program. I have never felt alone since walking into NOVA PHC. I highly recommend NOVA to anyone who is considering seeking help/ care from a pregnancy center.

I received a text message from the clinic, responding to my online request for an appointment. They were extremely kind and accommodating, despite my doubts. I went to the clinic with my mother in law, expressed my situation and concerns, and they exceeded my expectations. I was able to have an ultrasound, hear the baby’s heartbeat, receive plenty of pamphlets with extensive info, a referral to a highly recommended clinic nearby for further care, information for useful classes/ video resources, and even candy to help morning sickness. To my surprise, I was gifted a bag filled with lotion, body spray, chocolate, and a special card. I gave them a hug with grateful tears in my eyes! I’m so grateful this area has a facility like this. May God continue to bless it!

This place was absolutely amazing! I appreciated the help and kindness they showed me in my time of need. I had no clue what to do with my pregnancy and honestly I was terrified. They were super knowledgeable and shared so many resources with me. I left feeling confident, knowing what my next steps were, and honestly no alone. I highly recommend going here to anyone & everyone.
