The complimentary breakfast was the BEST I've seen as an experienced traveler -- eggs, DIY waffles, cereal, muffins, bagles, yogurt and more. But the most impressive was how well set up it was with proper serving tools for each separate item, the cleanliness & full supply even at @ 10a when scheduled to close. We left at 10a, there were new guests racing in to grab something & staff hadn't even begun closing it down. This is the opposite of similar motels I've visited. Would also like to compliment & say a special thank you to JOHN [tall gentleman, maroon polo, w/ dark hair & beard ~7/9/22]) for his personal customer service & going above & beyond his duties to make our stay special.

We booked with Red Roof for 1 night, 9/9/23 as a layover night for vacation. We are traveling with friends from Virginia to Florida. We chose Red Roof because we have stayed in several Red Roof's over the years and they have always been clean and economical. This motel is very conveniently located to I95. We checked in last night and the lady working at the desk was kind and helpful. That's where the compliments end. We had been on the road for over 10 hours and were exhausted. My husband did pest control for years, so the first thing he does in any rental room is inspect the beds for bed bugs. That checked out ok and we brought our stuff in. The floors were filthy. The bed comforters looked good, but the linens were dingey. The towels and bath mat looked like they had never been washed. There were 2 small hand towels and 2 wash clothes. My husband went to get more towels and was told there were only 4 available. They were just as nasty as the 2 that were in the room. While he was gone to the front, I got ready to take a shower and the faucet pulled out of the wall. The water had a HORRID sulfer smell. I stepped out of the shower area to the sink area to get a towel and there was a German roach with an egg sack running out from under the coffee maker. My husband then pulled out the microwave and there was an insect glue board behind there that was COVERED with roaches and live roaches scattered everywhere! We IMMEDIATELY started getting our bags out of the room while my husband took the glue board to the front desk to tell them we were leaving and we wanted our money back. She offered to move us to another room, but my husband told her if one room has them that bad, most likely all the rooms do. She was very nice and she cancelled the reservation and started the process for a refund. While our husbands packed our things back into the truck, my friend and I walked to the Comfort Suites next door and got a room. We were trying to budget smartly for our vacation and rent a room that was more economical for one night, but after this experience, I won't be worrying about that anymore. This was the worst experience we have ever had at a motel and we will be going with a better chain from now on.

This has got to be one of the worst and nastiest hotel I have stayed at. When we go to the hotel and checked in, we headed up to our room and the door was wide open at 9pm at night. That was sketchy enough. Walked in and debris was all over the floor, bathroom was disgusting and had mold around all the handles. We were going to complain to management but figured they already knew how filthy it was and figured it would of done no good.

We reserved a Red Roof Inn room (#216) in Kingsland, Georgia sight unseen for a three night stay April 21, 22 and 23, 2023 relying on internet images and social media reviews. The advertised location appeared safe, clean, and relatively convenient to NAS JAX Florida where our son/brother was to arrive April 22 after a 9+ month overseas Navy deployment. The rate seemed middle class reasonable for the amenities advertised and the specifics we required. We arrived exhausted after an 8+ hour, three state drive and pulled into the motel parking lot. It was not the comforting, reassuring moment we needed. Our first impression… if not for the very real uncertainty of where we could otherwise rest before driving on to Jacksonville the next day, we would have immediately left and tried to find beds a few more exits south on I-95. The lodging room doors open externally with exterior awnings and porches and many groups of men were loitering about outside the two floors yelling, smoking and openly drinking. We saw only one other family on the grounds and a few older couples at the pool. The evening hotel clerk who checked us in was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Opening the door into the room reinforced our initial consumer summation. The room was in need of a remodeling maintenance upgrade and deep cleaning. It reeked of cigarette and marijuana smoke combined with a sulfurous odor we came to associate with the room’s water supply. The bed linens, furniture upholsteries, and window treatments did not smell clean and the pillows were musty. The towels supplied were worn thin and very stained. The surface areas and floor had been wiped, but streaks of dirty, sticky residue remained. The tub was not clean and the toilet leaked running noisily all night. There were snack wrappers and fast food refuse in some of the dresser drawers. We ordered pizza (The local Dominoes delivery man arrived promptly and our order was hot and delicious.) as we were tired and honestly just afraid to leave the room (Two women and a six year old). After showering, we watched a little television, then dimmed the lights. Thankfully… warily… we had emptied everything of value out of our truck (I hit the vehicle alarm every time I heard an approximate outside noise), but noted the next morning that our soft cover had been opened along one of the velcro secured sides. We wedged two chairs against the door and I slept with my multifunctional and weaponized purse by my head… just in case. We woke up at 2 am with a room full of pot smoke so we turned up the outside unit AC which rattled relentlessly with its inefficiency. About 8 am we rose fatigued having tried to sleep late, but the smells and constant noise thwarted our weary efforts. We weren’t scheduled to meet our loved one till late Saturday afternoon, but we left the unit leaving nothing fearing theft. Fortunately… unfortunately… however survival perceived, we feigned a “family emergency” and informed the very kind, understanding daytime clerk that we were not able to return to Kingsland’s Red Roof Inn to finish our reserved stay. My daughter called (The transaction was on her debit card.) to explain to the desk our construed “predicament” and was directed to discuss the cancellation/refund matter with the general manager come Monday. After several phone calls/communications, we were refunded somewhat, but not after being accused of stealing the bed linens (Seriously?). Our “emergency”? We were genuinely afraid for our safety and physical well being. And though we were completely dishonest with our evacuation excuse, this Red Roof facility was horrifically misrepresented via the booking website. We felt backed into a corner… between a rock and a hard place. This hotel location tarnishes the Red Roof reputation and is in dire need of renovation. Its working family patrons and staff deserve security and peace of mind. This hospitality industry customer wants… needs safe, sound, sane and soon accommodations for my loved ones. Thank you for listening.

One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was that it had an outdoor pool. we just wanted to take some time to relax by the pool after a long day of driving. The pool was unusable. you could not even see the second step because the water was so murky. The floor of the bathroom was dirty. It had hair in the corners. The bed was so soft and the springs were popping that I didn't sleep all night. this hotel was generally just kind of rundown. not sure what was on the ceiling...

This is the worse Red Roof we have ever stayed in. The front desk people are very unbusiness like, dressed in just anything and not even a shirt with Red Roof insignia or such, the one fellow had a muscle shirt. The room we had was filthy, only two low light lamps in the room, maybe so you couldn’t see the dirt. We had a king bed and only one night stand just covered in dust on the bottom shelf, there have always been one on each side of the bed, the sheets were stained, I asked for fresh clean ones and made the bed myself. There was no hot water for our showers. We prebooked this room on line and when we got there, we were charged more for the room. We left our email with the morning person to be passed onto the manager, if they were interested, we never heard. Avoid this place at all costs!

I should get refund!!! Floors very dirty, no shower chair for disabled 79 yr old , Beds were so high that you had to take running heap which was impossible for being disabled. I should file against them because of my disability and age.

My husband and I drove all night and were looking for a hotel to stay in as soon as possible. Every hotel I called said they had vacant rooms, but wouldn’t check me in until the afternoon. I called The red roof and they let me know I could get a room immediately, when we got there Trish helped us check in and was very friendly! Good place to sleep for a night or two.

Was crossing over FL/GA state lines after nearly 10 hrs of driving and needed somewhere to sleep. Was not familiar with this part of the country so used my GPS to help me locate a motel/hotel. Plugged in Red Roof Inn as I used to stay at these lodgings when traveling, prior to the pandemic. The first one that popped up with in Kingsland. I called and was pleasantly greeted by staff person who listened to my needs, ie. one bed/one night, one small dog, AARP member and member of their frequent guest club. She immediately provided me with their very reasonable rate and directions to their property. Turns out I was less than 4 miles away. When I entered the lobby she was smiling and stated she was glad I found the motel. My room was very clean and comfortable. The bedding crisp and comfortable. The comforter looked very fresh. There was a microwave, small fridge and flat screen TV, all in good working order. I could not have been more pleased. The cherry on the cake was that Red Roof does not charge a pet fee as most other motels/hotels now do. The morning breakfast included make your own waffles, cereal selection, bread and condiments, ie butter, jelly, peanut butter and honey. Of course coffee, juice and milk were also included. It was serve yourself style and the selections were regularly replenished. I highly recommend this property and should I find myself in Kingsland, GA again I will definitely stay here.

2 stars is being generous. Stains on comforter and odd musty smell. Forget about turn down. Staff was great even when there was issue booking through Priceline. Could easily get 4 stars from me with better cleaning and linens.

I've stayed in many Red Roofs over the years and this one is the nicest. Clean, renovated and everything was in good working order. One comment however: the shower floor had a very low "curb" which allowed quite a bit of water to leak out, even if the spray was not heavy. I was careful to put the bath mat to absorb most of the water and wipe the floor dry after my shower, but most guests will not bother with that. The two-star rating for service was for asking reception for additional hangers (there were only 2 in the room) and being told they didn't have any.

I loved how pet friendly and affordable they are. I felt safe walking my dog at night. However, room was not super clean. The floor and the shower was filthy and the shower had no hot water.

Red Roof does it again! The room and beds are clean and very comfortable, the room has everything you need for a nice stay. Great desk, love the USB outlets in the furniture and appliances. Always my first choice and I'd stay in this one again.

This was by far the nicest Red Roof Inn I have ever stayed at. The staff were so warm and welcoming, which was much appreciated after a long days drive. The room was stocked with anything you could possibly need, and the beds were very comfortable. The dog walking area was very convenient (though it would be nice if more people picked up after their dogs as at night it wasn't always easy to see their "deposits") As a final word, there are restaurants within walking distance. I 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in! You could tell it'd been renovated but I don't think the flooring has seen a mop since being installed!! Walk across the floor 1 time barefoot and it was like I'd been outside walking in BLACK dirt!! The only plus was there was plenty to do within 30 minutes of the hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here, we won't again

Was in a room that was recently renovated. Bathroom had walk in shower, nice, and floor was hardwood. That's all that was good in room. Beds have barely any springs, must sleep in middle. Of you stay more than 1 night you do NOT get fresh bath linens. TV picture was subpar. Floor was dirty on first night. They made the bed daily, that was it. Didnt empty trash. Employees and people renovating property was right outside on smoke breaks most of the time or they were on the walkway, so you have to walk through their smoke or walk in the parking lot. Flat bed for they renovation trash was taking up 2 prime parking spots and not moved at the end of their day. Night staff was friendly, day staff made you bring down soiled towels to get new ones.

The room was gross. There were dirty dog pawprints all over the bed, along with other stains. I found several bugs in the room. The shower was dirty and there were fecal stains in the toilet. When checking in, the woman at the front desk walked off with my card for several minutes, I couldn’t even see where she went. If we hadn’t been completely exhausted from our long drive, we would’ve gone somewhere else. It was a very inexpensive room, but honestly it wasn’t worth nearly as much as I spent.

After having a flight delay of better than 8 hours, I called to make sure my reservation still stood. Staff was very friendly, room was clean, bed was comfy - it was the one thing that exceeded expectation after a long day

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, room was newly renovated, clean and well stocked. Continental breakfast was great, pool was clean and nice. Would definitely stay again.

The mattress was the worst I've every slept on, the staff was decent and gave me a good rate because I accepted a room without cable, but the mattress was so bad, it was very lumpy and impossible to get comfortable, I slept very poorly and I left and went to a different hotel and just paid more. The Inn is being renovated and until they get new mattresses I would not stop here. They add a dehumidifier because the A/C unit is too weak for the South Georgia weather. It helps.

Value for money. Room could be bit cleaner especially the floor. Some of the power outlets were broken and had to improvise. Didn’t complain as we stayed for one night. The breakfast was good.

The people that worked there, LIVED there. And their kids were playing in the parking lot, which stopped me from parking in front of me room. There's also people front porch sitting until all hours of the night. Drinking and smoking right outside my room. Just very uncomfortable as I walked my service dog at night. The room was OK. and breakfast left a lot to be desired. The waffles were watered down, and didn't taste well. The outdoor pool area was nice, and the kids that live there came and played with my 7yo son, which he enjoyed. I would stay there again, if I was upstairs and not near the porch sitters.

Very pet friendly. Allows multiple dogs. Easy booking thru Red Roof central reservations. No pet fees which is amazing. However at check-in, they had added a "safe fee" of $1.50 extra p/night without telling me. (I noticed the amount they were charging was more than my reservation amount so that's how I caught it.) Didn't add up to much extra for the week but I don't appreciate sneaky add-ons for ANY amount. I hadn't ever asked to use the room's safe so I had them take it off. The rooms are very affordable tho. Everything smelled clean and fresh. Fridge, microwave, hair dryer, dehumidifier increased comfort. Lots of bright lighting for walking your dog at night. Free breakfast nothing fancy but was nice perk. Overall worth it for travel with pets on a budget.

Rooms have been updated and defy the exterior. These rooms are very decent - and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was good - these waffle irons make the crisper waffles that I gave ever had for hotel breakfast! The staff is very friendly and helpful.
