Out of the two JDW visited in the city centre this is my favourite. Very nice beer garden, impressive original interior and an architecturally important historic building. I had a reliable Oakham ale, which was very good . Will return

Very, very crowded and noisy a real drinkers pub rather than a place you'd want to eat in.The beer was cold thou and I got to tick another Wetherspoons of my list but it won't be one I'll return too.

A Fantastic Evening at The Three John Scot JD Wetherspoon Pub in Hull Stepping into The Three John Scot JD Wetherspoon Pub in Hull, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The dimly lit interior and the buzzing hum of conversation created the perfect ambiance for a memorable evening. Accompanied by two friends, we were in for a treat that surpassed our expectations. First and foremost, let's talk about the drinks. As connoisseurs of quality lager beer, we were thrilled by the extensive selection available at The Three John Scot. The pub showcased an impressive array of both local and international brews, ensuring that there was something for every palate. From refreshing pilsners to robust ales, the pub's commitment to offering a diverse beer menu was truly commendable. Each sip was a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication put into the selection. To complement our drinks, we decided to indulge in some delectable bar bites. The chicken wings and onion rings we ordered were nothing short of exceptional. The chicken wings were perfectly seasoned, with a delicious balance of spices that had us reaching for more. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, each bite was a tantalizing explosion of flavor. The onion rings were equally delightful, boasting a satisfying crunch and a mouthwatering onion filling. These delectable treats were the perfect accompaniments to our lagers, elevating the entire experience. Beyond the impressive food and drink offerings, what truly stood out at The Three John Scot was the impeccable service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. They were more than willing to offer recommendations and suggestions, ensuring that our evening was tailored to our preferences. Their genuine enthusiasm for their craft made the entire experience all the more enjoyable. Throughout the evening, we found ourselves immersed in lively conversation, punctuated by bursts of laughter. The Three John Scot provided the ideal backdrop for our gathering, allowing us to relax and savor every moment. The cozy seating arrangements and the well-spaced tables further added to the overall comfort and privacy, making it easy for us to enjoy our time together. In conclusion, The Three John Scot JD Wetherspoon Pub in Hull exceeded our expectations in every way. From the quality of the lager beer to the delectable bar bites, our taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavors. The friendly and attentive service elevated our experience, ensuring that we felt welcome and valued. If you're looking for a fantastic time out in Hull, The Three John Scot is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Went in for a drink in may half term. Mid afternoon, place was filthy. Tried 3 different tables but all sticky and surrounded by food on floor. Picked the least dirty. Had a quick drink and left. Only stayed as kids were thirsty after walking around Hull shopping. Prices of drinks are fantastic as with all wetherspoons but we won't be returning in a hurry.

Nice little restaurant- a very quiet Monday morning breakfast however the food was FREEZING cold and the halloumi was squeaky and chewy. Nice outdoor seating area though with plenty of sun as it came up!

Can't fault this place for the price. Expected the food not to be up to much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent.

Spoons is spoons. You know what you're going to get which is reassuring. Took a little while to clear the last peoples plates from around us but it was a busy Saturday night. Everything was as it should be.

For a change at a Spoons good food that was served quickly. Good selection of beers and quick efficient service. Friendly staff who were good at their job. Fantastic old Victorian building and a great out side area when sunny. The best Spoons in Hull.

Regular visitor of Weatherspoons, Monday night we decided after watching the movie to pop in for some food and drinks, ended up leaving midnight closing time after mutiple drinks each we barely spend £60 includes food I was ordering Disarano and Regular Pepsi at £2.28p a drink. Where else can you get that price? As a regular drinker of Disarano, it tasted perfect The table service was spot on and the app was very easy to use

What could go wrong with fish and chips, right? I ordered fish and chips, the food looked alright, but the fish was chewy, like a gum, rubbery, bouncy and not dividing as it would normaly, I added video to show what I mean. So ended up eating only chips with peas. To be fair though, it was saturday afternoon, so it was quite busy. The worst experience from all the wetherspoons that I have been to.

It's a typical 'Spoons', nothing more, nothing less. Cheap drinks and Food. Affordable tasty pub grub. Had the Buttermilk Chicken Burger that comes with Chips and a San Miguel, plus 12 Onion Rings for a total of 12GBP. Food was fresh and tasty, Beer crisp and cold. Nothing wrong here!

The three John Scotts is in the grand building of the former main post office. It is very popular and always busy especially Friday evenings when you often see people queuing outside. This Wetherspoons has the usual good range of cask conditioned real ale at very cheap prices. The food has always been good and the staff are very friendly and professional. There is a large outdoor seating area in the courtyard.

Used to be a good place to go but it's a little on the dated side now. Service isn't great and the food is just general bog standard pub grub. Not that appealing when it arrived

Basically it is located at the city centre of Hull. If you travel to Hull, it is a convenient and inexpensive place to have meals. As usual as all other Wetherspoons, you can expect exactly what you will get in terms of food and drinks.

This was a relaxing pub to go for a drink at, with a glorious design that really echoes the atmosphere of Hull! The counter is well-presented and the staff were friendly, listing out different options then serving me my chosen drink quickly. I really enjoyed Rum with Pepsi and the seating is comfortable, situated at a sparkling clean table!

Wetherspoons, great value beer and food. Very quick service on food and the portion sizes were excellent. There was an issue in one of the toilets, I reported it and it was dealt with immediately. The only slight negative was that the WiFi didn't seem to be working but good 4G signal so no bother 😊

Been to this Spoons a few times now, it’s a medium sized pub located in a former Edwardian Post Office. It has a large beer garden. Food has always been good here.

Nice place, everything you expect from a half decent pub. Food, pending on how busy they are, can take a while. With cheeper beer, in the whole city.

I'm not one to complain and use wetherspoons for food everywhere I go on trips and even in my own town every weekend and sometimesfor tea during the week, but this one is appalling. We arrived and came for breakfast to be told the kitchen was closed, then given benefit of doubt we came in for our tea, yet again was told that half of the menu wasn't available. So we got a drink while deciding where to go, I then saw that when we were told there was no chip, they still served somebody else's tea with chips and when we asked for bbq chicken melt, was told cannot use grill but yet again another couple got chicken burger (this is not cooked in ovens). I had my 2 children with as this was a mini break before school returned, they could only get pizza luckily but not ideal as would have had something else with chips. I'm very disappointed wetherspoons!!

Popped in for Thursday curry night. £9.50 for beef madras, garlic naan and two poppadoms /chutney and of course the accompanying pint of St Migeul. All very tasty surpassing my expectations. Staff were great, polite and expedient

Well, we arrived and sat down. Ordered our food and drinks - When the drinks arrived we was told we had a 30 minute wait for the food, which was fine we could deal with that but 65 minutes later it finally arrived. When it did arrive the majority of the food was cold, including the kids meals. I ordered more drinks for the kids when the food arrived and 25 minutes later that finally came after everyone had finished eating. Halfway through our wait the majority of people left so I can't understand why we had to wait so long. Overall we are quite disappointed with our visit and don't think we will return again after this experience.

An average spoons, food was ok, baked beans and hash brown were a little tasteless but everything else about my English breakfast was nice

We ordered food as a small group. 5 people ( 2 orders) drinks came quickly 2 meals arrived shortly afterwards but it took over 30 minutes for the remaining 3 meals to arrive. The place was quiet and I would assume the lunchtime trade had already peaked due to the amount of dirty tables not being cleared Food was below average for a weatherspoons which is disappointing as you usually can't go wrong. Portion sizes should be bigger than what a child's meal would get. I also found some straigh peas in plate when no peas came with my meal
