Went to Lambwath tonight expecting to have a nice meal as i had heard the food was lovely..booked table online though didnt need to has it was quite empty..2 of our table wanted fish but was told there was no fish(baring in mind that fish is 1 of the main food categories on menu).so they ended having to order scampi(which was meant to be served with lemon and tartare sauce ,which they didnt receive) .I myself decided to have a wrap which came with salad and mayo or so it said on menu...My wrap was like a poppadom very dry and no mayo and little bit of lettuce(no other salad to be seen,if i was a rabbit i may have been happy,as for my chips cremated isnt the word they wer inedible ,as for my partners chips they were still hard in centre(how can a chef get 'cooking' chips wrong )we sat there for 10minutes or so expecting staff member to come and clear table but no1 did so made an hasty exit..my 1st time at Lambwath and last !Had to put 1 star to post this review however i wouldnt have put any

Good food. Meat cooked lovely on the carvery, and good portion given for the big carvery plate! Large dining area. The decor looked tired in places, but didn't detract from the food!

It was ok, wrap was very dry. Carvery was not great, beef was so tough you had to spit it out and we wrote it off, gammon was very salty to the point it was off-putting. When we did manage to get served, table staff were nice, albeit a little illusive. We honestly could have left without paying and no one would have noticed for a while! (To be clear, we did pay!)

Me and my daughter visited this evening at 18:00. Our server was a lady called Donna. Though she appeared busy she served us with a smile on her face and very polite manner. We wanted to move table halfway through which she made possible. I only returned to a place if I receive good customer service regardless if the food is nice or not. So thank you Donna. Also well done to the chefs in the kitchen, food tastes lovely as always :) From Christine and Krista xx

Visited this evening in a large group of us and pleasently surprised. The food was fresh and hot with a fair few options for veg. We also asked about vegetarian gravy and was sorted with it. A young girl called Betty looked after our table and cleared very quickly when we was all finished. Then offered to take desert orders...which we did. She was amazing and really made our night looking after us and all our families needs. Thank you and will be visiting again.

Truly beautiful carvery enjoyed by all in our party. We decided on Sunday dinner over the bank holiday weekend and had been wanting to try Lambwath for quite some time. As family were visiting, we booked a table online for 6 an hour ahead and we're glad we did! We had a short wait to eat as one of our party asked for nut roast, which is cooked to order, and we wanted to eat together. When we queued up for the carvery, it was perfect timing as soon after there were more than 20 in the queue, with a constant turnaround, for a good half hour. We all opted for all the meats - beef, turkey, pork and gammon - and thoroughly enjoyed them all. A variety of vegetables were on offer and all food was fresh and hot, not dry and mushy like some carveries. Overall 10/10 experience and will definitely be visiting again!

Firstly, it is good value for money and food was tasty. For me....would have liked a little more variety with veg. The chef...rather than carving the turkey and putting straight on the plate....threw it on the work surface then the plate, didn't look good scrambling around or hygienic !! Put me off a little Overall I enjoyed it but wouldn't return again because of the handling of the turkey

Absolutly shocking experience today especially with the manager (Fiona) , so there was an issue with keeping the food warm , so everything was served cold on a breakfast carvery obviously I had an issue with this but apparently it’s out there control , it’s simple don’t serve food if it’s not up to standard , I approached the manager with respect and got nothing but attitude and ignorance. I feel sorry for her staff members who are clearly a nervous wreck from her awful approach people , will never visit again, was offered a refund on one of them after spending 10 minutes arguing even though she admitted fault , crazy

Not our local pub , but very good ambient good food and very polite waitresses!!! Keep the good work and very good Christmas !!!

Last minute decision to come and was happy with the experience.. Jody in the restaurant area was very helpful and polite, went out of her way to come over and help with my order when she saw I was struggling with the app . Only downfall for me is i couldn’t get any desserts with strawberries on the adult menu , but oh well . Still enjoyed the carvery and pizza . 😉

The service was excellent Ruth was kind and very helpful very approachable to, and good knowing menu witch was good idea and for the customer keep up good work once agin thanks for good customer service

For the price, the carbery was decent quality. Obviously you can load up your plate with however much you can eat. I really enjoyed my meal here, not as old fashioned as it used to be. Will cone again. Staff were fine to provide plates for a birthday cake that we brought. well done.

He breakfast is outstanding A properly-cooked, all-you-can -eat buffet breakfast with real coffee…bottomless…. at a price you would pay for a small breakfast anywhere else? The staff are super-friendly and can’t do enough for you. Doesn’t get any better than that! Faultless

Had a fantastic meal with the family. We was served and taken care of by Helen, who was amazing. She took the time to help us find a suitable dessert option for my granddaughter who has a milk allergy. She was also great with both of my grandchildren and interacted with them both. Fantastic member of staff, fantastic food. Will definitely be back.

I attended the Lambwath in Hull. I have disabilities, however l was served like Royalty by Jody and the team here today. The Gammon was lean, vegetables were hot and not over cooked. In fact the facilities was extremely highly clean, service was excellent and food from Carvery to the Chocolate Brownie with ice cream was exceptional 👌 😋. Despite Landlord and Landlady been on holiday. They should be proud of the team that word at the Lambwath in Hull. Thank you.

Attended today for the veterans breakfast. Lovely breakfast especially with the defence discount. The staff Mel, Vicky and Courtney were welcoming, attentive and always around if you needed anything. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Wonderfully friendly and welcoming team. Food is always hot, fresh and plentiful on the buffets and we’ve never waited long when we’ve ordered. Lovely relaxed atmosphere when we’ve brought our sen child too- she always feels safe and unrushed. Definitely a favourite place for us to visit when we nip out for a sneaky breakfast or tea with the family. Well done Dave & the team for such a welcoming local. Lovely Michelle looked after us today, ordered me the veggie sausages I’d completely forgotten about & buttered my other half up with mushrooms! Highly recommend popping in.

Awesome food, better than Toby’s in my opinion. All meats were well cooked and tender. Brilliant, attentive, friendly staff. I’ve worked in catering 10+ years and I’ve got to say you’ve got a fantastic team! We will definitely be back. Served by Max and a really lovely blond haired lady :)

Donna out waitress was wonderful really friendly and professional. The carvery was amazing between us we tried all the meats all were fantastic. No complaints at all. Lots of compliments to chef's and all staff involved. We will be coming again and again.

Always a good selection of food on the menu and nice carvery. Staff very friendly but like most places they are given too many jobs to spend time on the details ... Such as making sure cutlery Napkins etc are on the tables and are wiped / cleared before being ready again... That's not when it's busy either. Good carvery food but a wait to get stuff topped up. Trying to get a dish for refillable ice cream was fun . ...only to find the machine was empty too. Got there eventually. X . Loads of parking. Loos clean well worth a trip. I don't agree that prices should change at different times of the week as you don't get anything different . X

We where sat waiting 30 mins for food. We spoke to a chef. Apparently they were really busy. Even though the place was empty. Food was awful! Found a hair in my meal so couldn't eat it. Rubbish service and rubbish food. Avoid.
