Gorgeous meal here tonight. G/F fish curry was so tasty with plenty of fish and king prawns as well as rice and chips. The steak was perfectly cooked with all the usual accompaniments. Attentive, friendly staff.

My friend and I went for lunch today. My first visit here. After asking if my order can be cooked ( I was polite and apologetic, i like my steak strips, burnt)the way I like and removing a couple of the ingredients, I was assured this was fine. My food arrived and it wasn't cooked the way I had described. I was offered for it to be done again. I politely declined ( it was anything but extremely well done, burnt, as I asked.) My friend, who paid the bill, enjoyed the meal that she had. My food was £15. They charged my friend the full price for my food and knocked the last 2 drinks we had, off the bill. The drinks wouldn't havent cost more than £8. Unfortunately, i will not return. The full price of my food should have been removed from the bill. I didn't eat it, it wasn't cooked to the way I was assured it would be. I left feeling very disappointed. I asked very specifically for it to be burnt. You agreed it would be. You did explain it would make the meat hard. Which my reply was ' that is how I like it' Mis quote me I did not say it tasted ' steaky' I referred to it as tasting very 'meaty' which is why I ask for my steak to be cooked how I like it. A simple ' sorry, we can't do that for you' would have been better. I would not have chosen the meal. I sent my food back, because it wasn't what I asked for. You charged me for giving me something that was not done right. You offered to cook it more?. How would that have happened?. It was a folded flatbread with cheese in it? Your reply is another evident of how unimportant customer care is. I will happily pay for the 2 drinks, seen as they were given in grudge, that my food wasn't cooked the way I asked. You checked the steak? Thought it was OK? It wasn't your order and that meat was far from burnt. I was extremely explicit giving my request, it isn't rocket science. I wouldn't have felt the need to take it to social media, if my request wasn't ignored.

A brilliant meal absolutely loads of it to be fair. Stepdaughter took half the nachos starter home lol. Massive mega burger and SD and wife said fish & chips was better than the famous brand chipper here. My only thing is they don't really have real ales. They have John Smiths Bitter and Shipwreck IPA and that's it. The interior is very clean and tidy ad were the toilets. Great food, great value. Can't go wrong.

Visited the blacksmiths arms today and couldn't fault it at all! The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely amazing.. We both had steaks which were cooked to perfection and the puddings were lovely. Will definitely be returning. 😊

Many thanks to Leon, Katrina and all the staff for making our 47th wedding anniversary meal memorable on Tuesday. Your staff are friendly and efficient. Your 'Can - do ' attitude to customer service is very welcome. Not all local establishments adopt your policy! Your menu choice of food was excellent, our meals were full of flavour and extremely well presented. My pot of mussels and beef Stroganoff were outstanding. The only criticism could be portion control!! My wife's face when the Chicken & beef Shawarma was placed on the table was ' a picture ' The caption for the image attached reads: I didn't order the sharing plate, how do you expect me to manage that! -Followed by a lot of laughter! Note: If ordering this dish, forget the starters! She made a valiant effort, but even with a little help from myself, could not finish the meal. However, everything was really tasty, hot and good quality ingredients served very professionally. The excellent background music also added to our enjoyment, sorry for the karaoke accompaniments. Hope to return soon for the Seafood platter, and highly rated Friday fish special.

I can’t recommend Blacksmiths enough, the menu is great, lots of choice. Great for small and large groups. Really friendly staff too. Lots of gluten fee options and great for family events. Proper quality food and drink!

Always fantastic & delicious food. Lovely atmosphere & surroundings. Just on the evening we were here last we had to wait a while for our order to be taken but otherwise cannot really fault this lovely pub, always thoroughly enjoyable.

Had food here on 1st January, just the 2 of us, had food from the specials board, chicken tikka flat bread, was absolutely gorgeous. The food was amazing, the staff were fantastic, special mention for Lucy who is always awesome. Well done blacksmiths, 100% as always. Wendy and al, see you soon ☺️

First visit to blacksmith arms and was not disappointed lovely food , friendly polite staff and good value for what you get . Highly recommend. Starters we had halloumi fries and calamari and for main was lasagne and Philly steak flatbread

Fantastic service and food!! Came here as many people had recommended it over the years. It did not disappoint. My partner had the turf n surf, I had two starters - which were amazing. Pate and the black pudding with sausage. Really surprised at the quality and taste, considering the price - amazing value for money and the service was so attentive and engaging. It was half full and I can imagine it's safer to book in advance rather than go in and chance it like us. Will I be back? Absolutely! If you are in area or passing by make sure you go in and try this out!

Just had a wonderful meal here with me and 5 other family members. The food was outstanding and the service was also fantastic. I had the surf and turf skillet and the steak was cooked to perfection. The brie spring rolls were also delicious. I would have taken photos but the food was so good I was to busy eating. Everyone's plates were clean by the end of the meal. We will definitely be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came here before and had a lovely Sunday lunch, so for a valentines surprise i booked a table for me and my wife, very friendly on the phone and said i was arranging some flowers to be delivered for my wife and asked if they could be on our table which they where, the food was served quickly and was delicious, found the staff very friendly and helpful, will certainly be visiting again.

Visited a couple of times, the food has been a good standard on each occasion. Definitely recommend booking in advance. One thing to note is they deliver the bill to your table, but you pay at the counter.

Delicious meals, generous portions, attentive staff and a great deal on 2 courses. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious and huge!

Came for lunch today for first time. We will definitely be coming back. The food was excellent. I had steak pie and it was delicious. Mum had the lasagne and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you

Food absolutely beautiful I had a Greek salad with chicken. It was delicious. My husband had the braised beef which he really enjoyed. We will def be back. Service was great really pleasant lovely lady.
