Had an absolutely lovely meal for a birthday. Booked a table for 6 and when we had to move it back they were happy to accommodate. Great drinks on offer and the food was excellent for all of us. Incredible desserts but the star of the show was the staff, in particular the lovely Julia. Catered to our every need. A model host. Would highly recommend a visit!

Had an excellent carvery! Delicious meats with good sized portions - not like Toby where they give you shreds! Veg was great and lovely Yorkshire puddings. The only thing I'd recommend is that they invest in some wasp catchers outside as they were a bit of a nuisance when eating outside. Had excellent service from staff and very good value for money. Will return again in the future for sure.

The Wingfield Farm is an excellent Carvery. For such a large pub it is quite cozy as it is divided up into different rooms. As a carvery it is as good as any in the area but I have given it an extra star because of the quality of the beer. There was a choice of three cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, something you don't get in a lot of carveries in fact some cannot be bothered to have any real ale at all. The staff were also very efficient, very friendly and welcoming. As this was my first visit the decor was a very pleasant surprise I am totally sick of these pubs that have a makeover and it's all battleship gray paint wood, stone or bare wooden floors. Wingfield Farm has a really nice warm cozy feel to the place. I was also really impressed by the fact it's dog friendly, that shows they are really focused on the needs of all their customers. Another surprise was the row of electric car charging points, this has to be a big Plus for tourists traveling to the region. Highly recommended.

Went to Wingfield Farm for the first time and it seemed lovely when we arrived. We got seated and ordered our food, a carvery. However the carvery was very dry (roasts cold) and the apple sauce was tart (the waitress who had stood chatting to her friend had finally come over to help us, then the apple sauce from a tub popped loudly should have given us a sign). When ordering desserts we couldn't have them in, we had to get take away boxes. So we went for ice-cream. Considering their stand had a wide range of ice creams, every single one of them was out of stock. So no chocolate, no salted caramel, no chocolate brownie. Yeah very disappointed in the food and service that was provided.

Enjoyed a lovely carvery at Winfield Farm. It was really good value, great choice of vegetables and meats. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely go again.

The food was all hot and flavourful. The 3 starters for £10 were all tremendous, I thoroughly enjoyed them. I'll definitely be back. Claudia was very good at her job. The best I've seen in England.

Excellent carvery! Haven't been for a while but it was as good as I remember. Had a large carvery and as usual should or could have been easily satisfied with the standard size! Also whilst obviously in the mood to order too much, I had the pigs in blankets! So the "large" meant a large oval plate, more meat? Pork, beef, turkey or gammon or choice of 2 of them. My 2 pigs in blankets which were an extra £1.50 were actually very nice and the option of 1, 2, or 3 very large Yorky puds! There was no way I could go back to our table with 3 puds! Numerous vegetables - carrots, sprouts, carrot and swede, red cabbage, even mushy peas! Roast potatoes, new and mashed potatoes and of course rich, thick gravy, oh and don't forget the stuffing! Arriving about 1145 we had to wait a few minutes before the carvery opened at 12, but We were very surprised how busy it was for a Monday by the time it opened!

Really lovely carvery. Am not usually a fan of carveries, but everything here was well cooked, hot and delicious. Fantastic choice of meats, vegetables and gravies. Very busy, so glad we booked a table. Hats off to all the hard working staff, particularly at this time of year. As near to homemade Sunday lunch as you'll get. Will be back 😀

King of the carvery venues. A choice of 4x meats, 8x different vegetables, 3x different potatoes, 2x gravy, all piping hot & nicely cooked. It is obvious why booking is essential for this venue. Plenty of counter top to slide the plate along as you choose what to have.

Just popped in enroute to destination. Never been before. Excellent carvery and delicious dessert. Service , kind. Helpful ,Caring and professional staff. Yes a queue due to volume of clients. But that is what you expect in any good family pub chain.

I would love to give this place 5 stars because I visit regularly and the food is always excellent however unfortunately they never seem to have enough staff on to serve at the bar and take food orders, although the staff are friendly and helpful across busy times there is often a big wait. Also the takeaway cakes advertised are often not an available to take away, I would suggest that maybe the display is reduced when they “run out” of a certain cake to avoid disappointment for people .

Went on a Sunday teatime about 4.30pm as a group of 8 people on arrival we were asked if we had booked a table unfortunately we hadn't, we were asked to wait and where soon allocated a table. The pub was extremely busy having ordered the carvary. we joined the queue, and it took us about 40 minutes to get served. Plenty of choices of meat and vegetables sauces and gravey. It was worth waiting for the meat was tender and the vegetables cooked nicely. Very pleasant and helpful staff but next time we will remember to book.

Came just as breakfast was finishing, and staff managed to squeeze (a family of 5) in. Much appreciation to Sheila for making sure there was enough food for us. Food was great!! Fantastic service and we will definitely be returning.

Fantastic service today. We came on speck for breakfast. Greeted with a smile and the staff happily catered for my son who requires a gluten free diet. His breakfast was cooked separately to the buffet on offer, with gluten free toast too. They even made a gluten free bacon sandwich to takeaway for my daughter. Disabled access into and around the restaurant. The rest rooms were spotless. So if you fancy a meal coming off or going onto the Humber Bridge I'd definitely recommend this place. Thank you to the staff who looked after us this morning. A great start to the day.

Called in for food while visiting relatives in the area. It’s a really nice and clean establishment, We were served by a member of staff called Josh who was very welcoming. We had a carvery which was excellent value for money, the choice of meats and vegetables was very good. We had chocolate fudge cake for dessert which was very tasty. Would recommend this pub and when we are in the area again we will definitely return.

The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and so helpful. But disappointed with the food though. Regular beer battered fish wasn't as expected, fish was small and tasteless and I would be surprised if it was beer batter For the price, for an adult, not enough food and low quality.

We attended on a busy Saturday early evening, Staff were very helpful, friendly and very accommodating to the children in our party (7 adults and 2 3yr olds). We ordered 7 carvery meals and 2 meals from the menu. We were all very happy with the food and enjoyed desserts too. I should also mention the children enjoyed the designated soft play area and we all admired the Christmas decorations, and welcomed the easy parking. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Food is great but it's the staff that make this place amazing. Every single one from the chap that took my order, the lovely lady on the carvery and all the others that never stopped clearing tables and cleaning were great. Friendly and efficient. For the first time we ordered dessert. I know they say the cakes are big but oh my god! Had the chocolate éclair and it was massive! Very tasty and about the same size as 8 normal ones. Thank god we had decided to share!

We went to Wingfield farm for lunch today. The menu was very limited. There were several dishes not available including any salad. Our waiter was lovely but the food took 50 minutes to arrive. My daughter had a veggie breakfast. When her food arrived she was told that her eggs would be delayed. 15 minutes later 3 fried eggs arrived on a plate. We won't be eating there again.

The last two occasions we visited Wingfields the food and service was OK but not great. However, on this occasion we met Julia who was really nice and helpful, she even interacted with the family which was really nice. The food was a lot better than last time but the queues were very long, to improve efficiency and keep queues low, I suggest that the Carving Chef should stay at his station and the plates and other bits (he had to disappear for) get brought to him, and the customer side of the serving area should be kept clean and tidy it doesn’t take much with a hot bucket of water and a clean cloth. These are my only two “faults” that can be improved very easily, but overall a good meal and great staff

Not worth the visit. Having driven past it a lot in the last few years, my wife and I have always thought about coming here for dinner, and unfortunately for us we decided to finally give it a try. Next time we'll know better and keep driving past. Cold food, things not on the menu and only told as the food was brought out, 95% of the arcade games for the kids broken, lock on the gents toilet door not working, hole in the wall, toilets in a state, the list goes on.

Warm and friendly. Staff were amazing and the GreenKings app help me pick food that didn't contain any dairy. Food was served quickly, hot and there was so much of it. Well worth the price. Would highly recommend if you can get out that way.

From walking through the doors the staff was welcoming and brought us straight to our table. The one who brought our food out i think she said her name was Katie was great and very polite and helped us when needed. The food was great especially the burgers. Would recommend to anyone passing by or lives here. Great experience. 👍

All the staff were very helpful, particularly the lady who found us a table. She couldn't have been more thoughtful, kind and patient. Food was good and good value. Definitely be back.

Visited tonight at around 6pm, the place was absolutely packed out but the lovely staff managed to sort us a table even though we didn’t book in advance, we all had carvery and my gosh it was amazing, the chef behind the deck was so cheerful and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing, the lady looking after the section we was sat in (Becky) was so friendly and polite, and even though she was rushed off her feet she took the time to pop across and ask us if everything was okay with our meals, fantastic food, service and a lovely clean place with a great atmosphere. Can’t wait for the next time! Thanks Wingfield!

We like the carvery here - the meat is always cooked lovely and so much veg to choose from, just wish would cook the sprouts a bit more (like eating them raw). we even had a dessert this visit and the apple crumble was nice and so much of it

  • 5/5 Andrew W. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely great carvery, everything you could wish for. Highly recommend the dessert menu as well. Did see a few customers seem to be waiting a while for non carvery menu meals though. Possibly carvery gets priority in the kitchen as I suspect this is the biggest trade. Servers were professional and always on hand 👌

Menu was extremely limited due to staff being off with covid. We decided to give it a go and you could see straight away staff was struggling to keep up. Ordered a burger, other family members had the carvery. Burger was nice when I finally got it however took a very long time. Cakes I felt weren't anything special and expensive for what they are. However I would try the place again when it's fully staffed and a full menu is available, I'm sure they would do a lot better however for now I think the place is okay considering things. Thought the staff did their best considering how overwhelmed they was, perhaps management need to think about how staff and kitchen will cope when working on skeleton staff verse being very busy.
