What a great aquarium and museum! Kids absolutely loved the cute penguins. The big tank was really impressive, from all the angles as you walk through all the floors of the building. We didn't get to use the elevator with a view, but staircase did just the job. And even better I think as we had more time to look at the fish from every floor. Café upstairs has amazing view over harbour. Plenty of toilets and seating areas, all very clean and tidy. Staff everywhere happy to answer questions and tell kids lots of interesting facts. Lots of interactive tables and screens. Gift shop has a lot of stuff too. We couldn't get time slot to come in online, but they were happy to sell tickets once we have arrived at the desk. Tickets are valid for 12 months after any amount of visits after the initial one. Definitely place to bring kids for couple of hours!

Fantastic visit, it’s been years since we’ve been to The Deep and I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of interactive activities and even our 9 month old loved the whole experience. No massive waits to get in and the cafe was really nice and reasonable in price. The gift shop is big and not too overpriced. Only downside is the paid parking.

The deep is a gem on the coast. You will need to take a day to go around here as there are 100s of different interactive exhibitions to go along side the tanks. It's amazing to have a museum like this outside of London honestly and it really is a great reason to visit Hull. I highly recommend this museum 5 stars.

Beautiful aquarium, best place I have ever been to so far. There are tons of floors and animals, ranging from tiny jelly babies to great exotic sharks! The parking costs £1 from 6pm - 6am & £3 from 6am - 6pm. We had no troubles finding a space to park. Inside the aquarium, you can find lots of information boards, telling you lots of things about that specific type of animal, a Gift Shop, and also a variety of fish, penguins & other exotic animals. I 100% recommend this aquarium to anyone as it contains both stairs and lifts for anyone to use.

Really cool experience that our kids (3 and 1) both really enjoyed. We both enjoyed it as the parents too! Lots of very interesting fish to see as well as lots of information/educational displays. The cafe wasn't great, but the experience itself is very good. The entry fee also includes any number of returns within a year.

The best sea life experience I have ever been to, it really puts sea life centres to shame. So much to look at and learn, lots of under water viewing places and the lift through the water is really cool. Highly recommend, my 7 month old through to the 93 year old loved it. All accessible with wheels and little legs!

Excellent quality aquarium positioned on the Humber just down from the bridge. Good size car park but you do have to pay £3 even with a full price ticket. Lots to see and interactive with inside, nicely laid out with plenty of space, clean tanks and happy looking fish! The main tank is pretty amazing and they make the most of it with plentiful ways to view it including a glass bubble elevator ride at the end! Good cafe with hot and cold food plus a brilliant, well stocked gift shop on the exit. We stayed 3 hours including a quick cafe stop. Highly recommended.

Was shocked at how much I paid to get in but apparently I can visit as often as I like for a year! Fantastic place, plenty to learn and many species to see. Main attraction are the sharks which don’t disappoint. The tunnel is very short but the view is great. Plenty to do for children of all ages. Gift shop full of toys at average prices. I didn’t try the cafe but it looked good. Would definitely recommend a visit. Without food I would say 3 hours was enough for me but with smaller children I would give it 4 - 5 hours. Beware, parking isn’t free! Foolishly I didn’t notice 😳😩

This place is pretty cool. The whole site is set up really well so as you walk around nobody is in your way,you can take your time reading and watching all to see. We did go on a Saturday and was very full of families with children but was still enough room to experience everything. We thought the entry fee was a bit high at first but then realized it was for a whole year entry but even without a full years entry we thought it was worth the cost. It is also a non profit project helping our seas and wildlife so was happy to help out a good cause.

Amazing to spend time with kids. The place is not as big as I’d imagine but good enough for kids, plenty to see and watch. We got the day ticket but you can enter again within 12 months. The cafe was good with view of the river. Reasonable price but the sandwich from kids meal was bad… the ham that we got smelt off and the bread was hard and steal. Not much Parking space so you will have to keep going round and round trying to find a space and lots of people ignored the one way system in the car park… Overall was an excellent experience.

Wonderful experience and my toddler loved it. Great for all ages, a bit busy but not too bad. Only thing I would say is that the picnic area wasn't until halfway round but we didn't realise that and it would have been useful to have signs for our hungry toddler.

We've been going here every year. It's still one of the most brilliant experiences for people of any age! Check in was quick and even though it was a busy hour, social distancing was adhered to. Staff lovely and friendly. The exhibitions are spectacularly clean and well looked after and all animals looked to be in good condition. Toilet facilities are clean and well accessible.

Nice place for kid and family. My son like this place because he love penguin 🐧. Moreover, they have activities such as painting the animation and let it go swim on the screen that makes my boy enjoy the trip when we visit here. You can buy ticket for a year and just booking the slot time for free of day pass in 12 months. That's worth for your money. Cafeteria for you at third floor that good but feel it's pricey if you don't order a kid deal.

Amazing aquarium. Friendly staff, great service. I was really pleased with fish exhibits. The Deep is disabled friendly, everything is accessible for wheelchair users. We spent there one and half hours and that is the time you’ll need to go around it. When you buy ticket you can come back within 12 month for free. I really enjoyed the visit and definitely would recommend going to the Deep if you are in Hull. This is probably the best aquarium I’ve been in UK, London aquarium is nothing compare to The Deep.

A great educational aquarium full of fish and information. Spread out over many floors, there is loads to see inside. The tank with the swordfish in is mesmerising. Nice cafe and gift shop, also parking available for a charge.

The fish and penguins are great to look at - if you can actually get to see them . I have a 9 month old (who can't walk yet) and she was in her pram and other people (including adults) would stand right infront of her and block her view. We ended up walking right past most of the tanks because there was no way my daughter would have seen what's inside them . We also had to carry her (in her pram) up 3 floors of stairs as the queue for the lift was ridiculously long .... people standing there without wheelchairs , prams or children at all . Also got barged out the way for the lifts by the same people on the way out too. We had a yearly pass but after this time it was a complete waste of money .

Good Liquid Zoo. Sharks, rays, starfish, jellyfish, little fish, big fish and penguinsto name a few. Plenty to see. Missing an interactive pool with cleaner shrimps, but not sure if that's because of Covid? Underwater tunnel, and elevator that goes up to the food hall, shop and exit, where you go up through the shark tank.

Wonderful experience, loads of information boards around giving details on exhibits. We did go on bank holiday Monday but it was very busy... Bonus points not the cheapest place to get in but the tickets are valid for 12 months so you can visit as many times as you want.

It’s definitely a great experience for the first time and has so much to see / do. We’ve been here many times since opening and it would be good to see some of the kit upgraded. Remember to take £3 cash for parking! It was busy on Sunday and we had to park in one of the overflows. Saw a sign that we could pay at Reception, so did that but had to go all the way back to the car to put the ticket in the window. Staff member was a bit rude as I couldn’t hear him properly. Please invest in technology to improve the experience and reduce your operational costs. The tickets could’ve been printed at home (photos added to a DB) and parking could be paid online or contactless machines. This hasn’t changed for many years, the leadership team need to wake up. On another note … it’s strange watching the fish grow up over the years! 🐠 And it’s all for a good cause.

Me and my friend had a phenomenal time at this aquarium, entering easily after our tickets were processed and we followed the animal signs to the actual entrance! There is a wide variety of sea creatures on display, including piranhas, penguins and sharks. A lift goes right through the shark tank that was an amazing experience and other creatures can be seen too, as well as fossils!

Such a great place for a family visit. Staff @ counter are very helpful and cheerful. My both children and their Grandparents enjoyed the visit thoroughly. A lot more species, and bigger aquarium then some of the Sea Life aquariums. Plenty of mobility aids avail for free hire, rest room facilities across the floors, and interactive shows for kids/family. The topfloor restaurant has a limited menus but a great hot food and stunning views. "Gift Aid admission ticket" gives a year free entry to aquarium for no additional cost - Kids will love to re-visit.

We had the best time for our daughters 1st birthday. We arrived for 10.15 which was the perfect time as it got a lot busier around lunchtime. Not too busy for it to be over crowded. They have lovely cafes there with ample space and highchairs for little ones. Great selection of hot and cold food. My kids aged 1 and 6 loved it and were obsessed with the large aquarium and the penguins. Fun day had by all, including grandparents, thank you. Will definitely be back with our yearly pass that was included with our admission ticket.

Had a fantastic day with the kids for a day out. Everyone fully enjoyed seeing and learning. Nice little pit stop halfway through, which can bring your own food or use the café. Nice to know we can go for free over the next 12 months with our purchase tickets from today.

Really good day out. We spent about 2.5 hours here. We thought it was just an aquarium but found the exhibits really informative with lots of information, more like a museum. I love that our tickets mean we can come back again and again for free for a whole year. Lots of interactivity for little ones and ramps made it really accessible. Lots of food options in the restaurant and a well stocked gift shop.

We visited during summer holidays with 6 kids age 1, 2, 5, 5, 8 and 12. There aren't many places that can entertain such a range in age but everyone had a brilliant day! The interactive elements are great and educational. There was a good mixture of hands on activities and things to see. It did feel a little crowded in places but it didn't ruin the experience for us.everywhere felt clean and there was plenty of staff around to answer questions. We will be making use of the free return visit and have already planned a trip back in October!

Outstanding attraction & a must visit if you live within a couple of hours drive. All the sea creatures are well kept, explained & displayed in impressive ways. COVID-19 precautions are well placed & handsanitiser is well signed and available every few metres. The staff were very kind and personable. It was a birthday visit for my 3 year old. The main reception team got him a badge and made a point of connecting with him. Good prices with the chance of a revisit for free at no extra cost. We did visit in early December so it was off peak & relatively quiet. Definitely will be returning.

Went to deep for a little change today. £16.50 for a year pass isn’t really that bad if you want to go again with some other friends. Hasn’t changed much since I last visited a few years ago still nice to see it all still there. There has been a few additions like the behind the scenes area. Penguins still as cute as ever.

We visited yesterday after school with some friends. We had a great time, two staff stood out and made the visit so much more enjoyable they were Lloyd and Tom I think. But all the staff were amazing. The children were asking so many question about sharks and penguins but this did not phase the staff at all, they seamed to enjoy all the questions. We will be visiting soon.

We visited after staying nearby. My children loved it! Definitely worth booking in advance though as people who didn't were being turned away. Your tickets can be used for 12months after too! The aquarium was great, staff were friendly and knowledgeable also approachable. There was a lift which travels through the water which took about 20 minutes to queue for. Lots of stairs to get to the start or a lift. We wouldn't travel just to go here but if we are near by again we will definitely pop in again. It filled a couple of hours and that was a leisurely pase around.

A good place to spend a couple of hours with the kids. A varied variety of animals inc. sharks, rays, a wide range of fish, frogs, snakes & even penguins. The bubble lift is a fun way back up to the exit. At just under £20 for an adult ticket it's not too pricey, ( and your ticket is valid for free admission for as many times as you want for the next year ).

The deep is a lovely experience. Tickets aren't too expensive and it's in a great area. The entire aquarium is built so well and I love the additional areas that let you see into how the deep is kept up and running and how all of the animals are well looked after and maintained. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and it's nice and easy to navigate. There are lots of wonderful areas with great sensory experiences for kids and adults too. Great variety of aquatic life.

We come to the deep often as we live locally. It's fun for both the kids and adults and it's enclosed enough to let my 2 year old have a little freedom to explore. Today we were pleasantly surprised to find some (free!!) Sensory activities going on at the halfway cafe. These weren't very well advertised, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for any future events as there was SO MUCH for my 2 year old to do in a relaxing environment with really friendly staff. It was the perfect spot to breastfeed my 7 week old also, while my 2 year old was entertained. Would recommend to anyone with little ones from newborn up to teens!

Loved it. Even my teenage son was vaguely interested, which is no mean feat. The ticket lasts for the year so plan to go back despite a long drive. Not particularly cheap entry, but everything is well kept and some beautiful sites. If you take your time maybe up to 3 hours. Would recommend stairs at the end and the lift if you want, the stairs you take at your own pace, I spent half an hour at the varying heights. Cafe on site. Parking is about 4 quid

After sorting our entry tickets, up to cafe area and entrance. Had drinks and eats treat after our journey. Then, entered what we consider now to be the best aquarium experience of all. Interesting info and fantastic exhibits of past and present aqua environments. The massive central tank is seen through many viewing windows as you journey down through the levels. The option at the end of The Deep experience is to leave from the ground level or take stairs or lift to get more views of the wonderful sharks etc of the central tank. On the way out a brilliant gift shop awaits exploration and purchase of great gifts - keepsakes.

We loved seeing the penguins and the sword fish in the viewing tunnel best. We enjoyed the interactive displays, especially the microscopes and 'paint a fish' virtual displays. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful and there was no queue at all to get in. We pre-booked our time slot online. It took around 1hr 45 minutes to go around, and we took our time reading the info boards. We felt for the price paid there were some missed opportunities which would have made the experience so much better. Some kind of audio tour via an accompanying app would have been great - we found it quite difficult to hear the spoken exhibits due to the noise of school groups and other kids who were understandably excited. There was also no map (that we saw or were offered) which would have helped orientate us. There also could be more staff interaction and some talks or guided experiences. I suspect much staff time was taken up with the school parties on the day of our visit, however, this should be taken into account to ensure all visitors have a good experience. We were disappointed to find the bubble lift was not working. This meant visitors with pushchairs had to carry them up multiple flights of stairs if they were to see the views on each level of the tube. Finally, when we reached the cafe at the end it was very busy but the entire upstairs extra seating was closed so we ended up taking our food back to the car to eat. Nice that each ticket is an annual pass so we may visit again and update the review.

Had a blast at The Deep. Visited on a Friday afternoon and going on a weekday was definitely great. There were people, but it wasn't crowded at all. The sharks, jellyfish, and penguins are a must watch! Since it wasn't too busy, we could spend a good time looking at them. It's almost hypnotising to look at the jellyfish swimming around! Definitely worth a visit or more!

Great aquarium to visit. great place for the whole family. A lot of 'hands on' experiences, from diving shows, to feeding shows as well as playing some documentaries. The Aquarium is rich with animal life, lots of different types of animals. half way between your visit there is a nice little cafe to have a snack. At the end there is a 'Play area' for your children as well as a few aquatic themed games to play. the gift shop is a nice way to end your visit, it is full of soft toys, snow globes, T-shirts as well as other things. a great place to take the family to for a day out. Yet it does get very busy at certain times, it is great for locals as well as people visiting from around the country. 5/5 stars. Fun and educational

I visited today. The place is fabulous but as far as staff managing social distancing people were taking mask of one's inside staff just looked at them never said a word. I went to one staff member saying one family were getting up very close to us with no masks on. Nothing she could do apparently. Hated every minute so worried about mygrandaughter. We left through the fire exit after half an hour a staff member let us out as they said they could do nothing to help us but leave through the fire exit. We'll if that is good custermas service. God help anyone who goes there during covid

A fantastic day out for the family. Covid-19 is being taken very seriously by the staff; entry is by pre-booked time slot only, all of the staff wear appropriate PPE, entry without a mask is prohibited, toilets are attended and only one family is allowed in at a time, there is a strict one-way system in placeand there are hand sanitisation stations every few feet. In fact, the only people not taking Covid-19 seriously are some of the patrons, but frankly if you need to kick some slack-jawed mouth breather in his tiny, impotent nutsack as a reminder to remove himself from your arsecrack, I'm pretty sure the staff will have your back. Anyhoo… there's plenty of exhibits to see, including interactive ones for the little ones. They have sealife that ranges from full-sized sharks, giant sea turtles and humungous mantarays to tiny shrimp and crabs. The cafe is socially distanced, reasonably priced and good quality; there is also full accessibility for wheelchairs and buggies, plenty of support from the staff and, of course, penguins. Who doesn't love penguins? Apart from Batman, but he's got PTSD and is borderline psychotic, so who cares what he thinks? 100% worth the trip to Hull. Which is a phrase that doesn't get uttered very often.

Would recommend the Deep as a lovely place to visit with the family. Well set out for covid distances. And hand sanitizer stations. All the staff are so helpful and friendly. Nice lunchtime snacks.

  • 4/5 Philip S. 3 years ago on Google
Very well organised for current restrictions. Just remember you are only allowed round once. We found this out as we wanted to reenter and use the cafe for lunch but were told this wasn't possible. The lady was very polite and we got our lunch elsewhere. It was still a great morning visit and we'll be back again soon.

Was a pleasure to walk around today, very clean, and staff where visibly cleaning regularly. Also was not to busy (09.30) and had plenty of time to look at the exhibits and didn't feel rushed to avoid other people.

Always enjoy our visits here. Friendly, helpful staff. Accessible. Tickets includes free entry for a year. We adore the penguins. Only critisum some of the hands on items don't work or hard to understand.

  • 4/5 Holleane f. 3 years ago on Google
Loved visiting after a long time of not being able to with my toddler. Great use of hand gel and one way system although some visitors may need reminders from staff in bottle neck areas to observe the 2 metre guidance - gift shop specifically .

  • 1/5 Draggy B D. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely nobody was wearing facemasks, or respecting social distancing. Staff did nothing to enforce this.

  • 5/5 Miko K. 3 years ago on Google
Świetne miejsce. Dźwięki z głośników w połączeniu z efektami wizualnymi tworzą wyjątkowy klimat. Polecam.

  • 3/5 Mag B. 3 years ago on Google
Face masks during queuing up, and then the minute you get inside I didn't see any adults continue to wear mask or adhere to the social distance. Staff cleaning but not advising people on face covering or distance.

  • 5/5 Samantha D. 3 years ago on Google
Good place to go , enjoy it. Had to book online and chose a time to visit. Advise to wear face cover. Somethings not working, Touch Pool, Cafe but small place at entrance to get drinks.

I liked the fish and chips

  • 5/5 Nathan H. 3 years ago on Google
My favourite aquarium in the UK so far, staff are always friendly and tanks are always spotless with lots of fish to see!

  • 1/5 Mark H. 3 years ago on Google
The online booking is a joke! It shows availability but when I try to book for 3 it says there's no availability and try a different time slot. Normally this wouldn't bother me but I've booked a hotel after checking ticket availability just to be told they aren't available when I go back to pay. THANKS A LOT!

  • 5/5 Phillip S. 3 years ago on Google
Just had a great day at the Deep on their first day of opening. Their covid measures were at the right level with the staff continuously cleaning. Staff very friendly and helpful Felt very safe going around this amazing place

  • 4/5 Nite F. 3 years ago on Google
Great place to visit with the kids, if you really want to you could run through the place in a couple of hours but the real value is that tickets Brought act like season tickets. For one entry price I have brought the family back a few times and that puts the entry fee into bargain territory

  • 5/5 Robert B. 3 years ago on Google
Had a fantastic day out, the joy on my grandchildrens faces was as amazing as the aquariums, I have never seen them so excited.

We visited The Deep last Thursday. This has got to be our favourite aquarium in the UK. Great value for money and lots of animals to see. Fantastic day out. I would definitely return in the future.

  • 5/5 Neji H. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely brilliant day out! We learned so much, the displays are amazing! You can really see the care and passion in each area. The place is very covid safe and they manage the crowds well. It's an absolute must to book your time slot in advance. Also, the gift shop is brilliant!

  • 5/5 Kimberley 2 years ago on Google
I absolutely love The Deep it's great for all ages I recently took my one year old and he was amazing throughout the whole thing. We have been here a few other times as well, the great thing is when you buy a ticket you can come back as many times as you like within a year for free!! The ticket prices are reasonable and the gift shop prices as well!! It's a great family day out!

  • 5/5 Syed A. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice place to visit with family. Kids enjoy a lot seeing different species of fish. Tanks are big with a good view. View at the restaurant is fabulous.

  • 5/5 Claire H. 2 years ago on Google
Was the first time we have visited and was very pleased. There was a long queue but it didn't take long get through. Everything was nice and clean. There was a lot of information about including interactive screens. Tickets do seem pricey but when you factor in it converts into a yearly pass it is well worth the money!

  • 5/5 Shelly A. 2 years ago on Google
A place to know the life in deep (water). It gives you a lot of insights and knowledge about the sea life. The time spent there is worth though the entrance fee is bit higher than you wished for.

  • 5/5 Kim H. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful place to visit, lots to see and keep young and old interested. My one year old grandson was in awe all the way round. Great access for mobility users. Staff attentive. Great day out and good value for money.

  • 5/5 Katie B. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing aquarium. We visited as my son loves Axolotls and we had many recommendations for the Deep. This place exceeds all the other aquariums by a mile. Brilliant place and we can visit again and again during the next 12 months for free. Will definitely be back.

  • 5/5 Cathy S. 2 years ago on Google
Brilliant day out with family ,not too busy got to see everything, amazing fish and marine life ,loved the turtle could have watched all day, little cafe where we had coffee and sandwiches , shop at the end was a range of different prices which was good , lovely things to buy, can't wait to go again 😀

  • 5/5 Gem M. 2 years ago on Google
Such a fab place for little ones. My 4 year old loves it and never gets bored even when we go every month with the yearly ticket. The staff are always really friendly with fascinating talks too.

  • 4/5 Febe M. 2 years ago on Google
It is normally a great day out but because of Covid, we missed in few things sich as feeding times and soft place. Hopefully will go back to normal soo

  • 5/5 Sarah Lynn D. 2 years ago on Google
Really enjoyed our time here. Obviously lots of fish to look at. Think the layout is very good and lots of information about different fish and their habitat's.

  • 5/5 Benjamin S. 2 years ago on Google
I've been here a few times and always have a great day. The exhibits and habitats are all really detailed with lots of information that is written in a way that's friendly to children and adults. They also make a point of being very conservation focused which makes it a lot more interesting than most other aquariums or zoo's. Disabled access and facilities were also really good. I would recommend a visit to anyone!

  • 5/5 Willow Hope (Willow M. 2 years ago on Google
Always lovely to visit The Deep and always seem to spot something new each time I go. Lots to see and plenty to read about, and they’re happy for you to sit and watch the fish for as long as you want, plus the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

  • 5/5 Mike L. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely breakfast, in fact all the food is nice. Fantastic place to take the kids. Love the fact the entrance fee lasts all year.

  • 4/5 Will L. 2 years ago on Google
Great aquarium. Fun day out watching all the animals. Food in the cafe is a bit weak and they don't let you take your own so be prepared for that.

  • 5/5 Jacqui M. 2 years ago on Google
Best Experience EVER! £16 a Ticket & free if you have a carer...So we only paid the £16 for 2 adults but tbf it's worth double that EACH!.. Best place I've visited....They have a lift for disabled & I was literally 3ft away from I'd say "10ft" Shark... in the dark...it's eyes watching my every step! It's amazing & there's a lift u can go up underwater & see all the Fish & sharks...Brilliant! Lots of staff around to help & ask questions to & lots if seating if u get tired...it's all on a "ramp" walkway so no steps!...The cafeteria serves really good food too...I had the lasagne was lovely...You can spend 2-3 hrs+ in here easily...Enjoy! X

Excellent sea life centre, suitable for all ages. Very informative. Brilliant sea life on show with the stars being the sharks swordfish and turtles. A really good day out and a place to keep coming back to.

  • 5/5 Matt B. 2 years ago on Google
Been to a fair few aquariums and this is up there with the best, the yanks look very clean and are a great size for the amount of fish present in them. A great selection of creatures big and small to look at. Parking was well priced and very close to restaurants in the area to really make it a great day out

  • 4/5 Amrita B. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing educational experience. The staff are super friendly. The cafe food wasn't too good.

  • 5/5 Corina B. 2 years ago on Google
We used our Tesco vouchers to buy tickets for The Deep. It was a very quick process and we saved a lot of money. The aquarium is big, colourful, very clean and with a big parking. We loved the penguins enclosure where we could see them from above ground and also swimming under the water.

  • 5/5 Keith M. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing experience for everyone..... Use your Tesco Clubcard points for free entry, better still pay for one entry and get to go for the year!!!

  • 5/5 Maria C. 2 years ago on Google
A magical space! The Deep is absolutely amazing with so much to see and learn. The little Boa is my favourite. A serious beaut! The tickets last a year, which is a bonus. The café, which overlooks the river, serves amazing lunches. Be sure to make a day of it and take it all in.

  • 4/5 Becky B. 2 years ago on Google
The Deep has a wide variety of marine life, as well as penguins, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Entrance fee is reasonable, especially when you consider your ticket enables you to visit for a year at no extra cost. Great for families of all ages. The only nitpick i have, is that there feels like a lot of wasted space within the building, that could have housed more tanks and animals.

  • 4/5 Femail Social M. 1 year ago on Google
Great place for kids. Very interactive. Keeps children entertained rather then just looking at tanks. The shark tank was a let down though. Seemed very small and just not what we were expecting. Same with the penguins. Would have been nice to see more about the British seas. But generally a great place. Food expensive as you would expect. Parking is a bit of a nightmare too.

  • 5/5 Emma G. 9 months ago on Google
The perfect place to go with the family! We have the annual ticket and we’ve used it lots of times with our two young babies. The staff are very friendly and willing to talk to you about their animals, the cafe is priced well and serves a large variety of hot and cold food/drinks and the gift shop is lovely too.

  • 5/5 Chris G. 10 months ago on Google
This was one of the best attractions I've visited in the UK for exploring aquatic life. Not only do you get to see a fantastic range of fish in a big tank (spread over various floors), you can also learn about their ecosystem and the impact changes to the planet is having on it. My little boy loved looking at all the different tanks, as well the interactive displays. The ticket allows us an annual pass to return next year, so I will be taking him back. Well worth a visit

  • 5/5 beth f. 1 year ago on Google
Long time since I've visited the deep, but it still lives up to the hype. It's such a great way to spend the afternoon. Once you pay for entry, you are given a ticket that permits you free entry upon your return, which is a fantastic value for money. The exhibits themselves are brilliant. Lots of interactive things for the little ones and so much to see. Well stocked cafe at the end and toilets were relatively clean. Would definitely recommend a visit with the kids.

It's just amazing. We visited with my wife and our 3-year-old twins, and they loved it so much for them to see and do there. Plus, we can now go back whenever over the next 12 months.

  • 4/5 Laura Jane R. 8 months ago on Google
Easy way to spend a couple of hours with the family. Can seem expensive but you get return visit for a year free. For the summer holidays we expected more child related activities to be on the go and fun zones.

  • 4/5 Amber D. 8 months ago on Google
Was really informative and basically like a museum for the history of the planet and evolution. There were not as many creatures as some aquariums but it was still a great day out. The best part for the children was an interactive sand play area which was really clever. The queue was really long and it was quite loud but still well worth the trip and good value for money.

  • 5/5 Kelly H. 8 months ago on Google
Wow! First time visiting the Deep. It was a rainy day in the school holidays so incredibly busy and we had to queue a long time to get in. This place was amazing though! The amount of sealife, interesting exhibits and animals was just wonderful. Seeing the animals going overhead in the tunnel area was just unbelievable.

  • 5/5 Jamie G. 8 months ago on Google
Fantastic place to visit. Was fairly busy when we went just after midday. So much to see and do though and some absolutely beautiful sites to see.

  • 4/5 Georgina D. 6 months ago on Google
Wonderful day out for our little boy, he loved every minute of seeing the fish with lots more for older children too. Quite expensive at £40 for the trip for two of us however we can return whenever we want throughout the year. Overall lovely family trip

  • 3/5 Balakumar P. 7 months ago on Google
Their annual pass is very useful. Good experience. Would like better if there was a children's play area. The lift to above is awesome. The penguins were cool to look at

  • 4/5 Jason S. 7 months ago on Google
Myself and family included very much enjoyed our last visit. It wasn't very busy so we got to walk round at our own pace and enjoy all they had to offer. Beautiful exhibits and engaging kids activities throughout. Would recommend to anyone with kids!

  • 5/5 Paul R. 4 months ago on Google
It's been a while since my last visit but it's still a fantastic experience. My 3 year old grandson was spellbound and I wasn't far behind. The ticket lasts for a whole year, so its great value as well! It's a must visit for children and adults alike.

Best aquarium we've ever been to. Loads of fish to see. The Sawsharks where amazing! The final tank was massive and loads of sharks, with rays and eels.
