On the night we visited, was a full house but only to be expected for The Lord of the Dance but the staff (in masks) kept everyone well organised and people moving. First time visiting since renovations completed and would appear a job well done.

A lovely theatre, with a bar where food can be bought. Not my first visit but this time we had stall seats for Six the Musical and it was awesome. Comfortable, great acoustics and a fabulous view of the performance, which, by the way, was incredible. Will be visiting again, and again....😍

Nice theater with friendly staff. Great location with a beautiful park in front of the theater, where you can spend some time while waiting for the show. Alternatively, you can relax in the bar if it's cold outside. The stage and screen are fantastic, although the audio system could be improved.

We came to see Six on tour. The queue outside was long but moved surprisingly quickly, we were in within a few minutes. The ladies loos had a strange layout (you'll know what I mean if you go...) but again we got through quickly. We had cheap seats but the view was OK and the lights /sound were spot on. My partner had an aisle seat and was very happy with his view-I'd recommend an aisle seat. He nipped for a cup of tea before the show started and returned a few seconds later, so the bar was obviously following the efficient theme of the place. Car parking at Albion St was close and only cost a couple of quid, though I think it only takes coins so be prepared (who carries cash these days?!) Great venue, will visit again. Thanks 👍🏼

Great venue - visited for the 2022 pantomime. Staff were friendly and ticket check was fast and efficient. Clean theatre with adequate toilet facilities for a full house. Sound quality was good - as was the panto

My wife and I took our granddaughter to see SIX the musical on Friday 26/5/23. We had the most fantastic time. The theatre is just 1st class immaculate and everything, seats, decor all look brand new. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We parked our car in Albion Street car park which is free after 18:00 and just a hop and a skip to the theatre. Thank you for making our visit the most enjoyable ever.

Went here to see Six the musical with my mum. We went to the afternoon show. The facilities were great, the seats were great, my only gripe was in the advertising for merchandise. The sign was very small and when we arrived the crowd obscured it. We had a train to catch at the end so couldn't join the massive queue.

Really good night. Brilliant mix of music and laughter watching dirty dancing. Fantastic show, actors were great. Sat fairly near the front but really could do withan aisle down the middle of the front section of seats as we really wanted a drink in the interval but didn't want to disturb so many people to get up, and we were in the middle of the row.

Excellent shows, the theatre ia beautiful and in a nice part of town. There is free parking after 6pm and large carpark nearby. Snacks and drinks available to buy.

I came here a few days ago to go see Turn & Face the Strange. It's a beautiful theatre that's clean, and the staff are friendly. The prices aren't bad, I expected to be paying more for drinks and snacks. The show itself was phenomenal, it was so entertaining and I'd be interested in returning.

It’s a long time since I’ve been to Hull New Theatre, mainly because I haven’t been organised enough to book seats to some of the amazing shows hosted there. It’s a great big theatre only 10 minutes walk from the Interchange (trains, buses, taxis) and very easy to find. There is a small amount of parking in the square and public car parks lose by. There is a wheelchair friendly entrance which is where all tickets are scanned, followed by a bag search. The staff are friendly and professional. I went to a matinee performance of Heathers and sat in the stalls so had a great view of the stage. During the 30 minute interval ice cream was available. The seats are comfortable and everywhere was clean and tidy, although the carpet is rather worn. Very pleased that I’ve been organised enough to book tickets to some upcoming shows.

I have visited the theatre on many occasions and have always had a great experience. The staff are always friendly and efficient and any queues are always well managed. I’ve sat in many different seats within the theatre and love sitting in the front half of the stalls. Overall I always love visiting Hull New Theatre and have many more visits planned for the future!

“Dirty Dancing:” All the cast love this theater for the show. More intimate feeling and closer to the audience. Great acoustic, ample space for changes and wardrobe village. Good site lines to the audience. Audience not to wide or high. Staff here very helpful. Gavin at stage-door told me the theatre opened in 1939. Laurel and Hardy use to play here. Also Chico Marx who tipped all the stage crew the equivalent of their weeks salary! Lots of security getting in and wifi takes at least 24 hrs to setup. (Never worked, but wifi in Hull is all dodgy.😂) Like the audiences here and am looking forward to exploring Hull. Many extraordinary buildings and much history here. I’m loving it.

Loved the theatre. Easy to get to and such a range of shows on. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Toilets were clean and tidy. The seats that I sat in had plenty of room in front and around me so that I could put stuff on the ground.

Went to see Rock of Ages, what a fantastic show, laughs, songs and plenty of rock. The New Theatre is lovely and very easy to get to, Albion Street car park is very close and there are loads of pubs and restaurants nearby.

Love Hull New Theatre. It is well adapted for easy access into the theatre. Opposite the theatre entrance. There are some disabled spaces. For 3 cars. There are car parking spaces around the outside of the theatre. These are free after 6:00pm. Also all the car parking spaces down the streets. From 6:00pm are free. A bar is available with food available to purchase. Lift is available to get to the level required. The only downside I found to the theatre is. The seating is very close together. Not alot of leg room is available.

Went to go see Titanic The Musical with my family. Acting and singing was amazing. The work of sound and lighting helped set the scenes. Only downside was that food and drinks were a little expensive. £2.30 for a standard bottle of Tango and £3 for the price of a small ice cream tub. Pamphlets are sold at £8, whilst merch shirts are £25. Not bad if you are a big fan of the musicals though

Lovely Theatre, helpful staff, plenty of leg room, slightly dated, but to be expected and doesn't deter from the experience. Good view. Kids loved the show (the ugly duckling ballet) and would highly recommend. We will definitely be returning! Thank you!

We went to see the ELO Experience at Hull New Theatre on Friday 6th Jan. Absolutely amazing night out. The theatre itself is much more roomy and modern following it's refit. There are more bars, more stairways, more toilets. There were helpful staff all over to point you in the right direction. The show itself was incredible. If there's anything that grabs your fancy to see, I'd highly recommend this theatre.

The show was great. The post refurb chairs in the stalls are so much better. All staff were lovely. Toilets immaculate. Drinks, snack & programs well price. We saw Jack & The Beanstalk Relaxed Performance this time. The whole family loved it.

Went to see Jack and the beanstalk with my wife and children. Honestly the best pantomime we’ve seen. Great fun for all the family.

Went to see The Osmonds show. Had a fantastic time. Great seats. Easy and plentiful, free parking spaces available right outside the theatre. Could do with more seats in the bar area for somewhere to sit prior to the show, other than that, a fab evening.

This is a lovely theatre which has been refurbished in recent years. I went to see Bat Out Of Hell Musical and the sound was system was very good. My view of the stage was unobstructed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A very good experience.

Great theater, nice and central to Hull and near a decently sized car park. Great show, awesome performance. Two minor complaints: They let people into the show after it had started. Sure it was between the opening number and the next song so wasn't a major interruption but it's still uncalled for. The sinks in the toilets are too small to actually get your hands under the tap to wash them.

Great little theatre. Only downside is the queue for bar especially in the intervals. Would be a good idea to have more staff or put a bar upstairs.
