Horrible experience. I purchased an awning from this company via eBay, but returned it within the same week at my own expense in the original packaging and item itself unopened. Following receipt of the awning John Coopers of Scunthorpe decided to give me a partial refund of £1000, rather than the full £1149 I paid, with the reason for the random £149 deduction being that they had to ‘check the awning’ when it arrived back at the warehouse - as if this isn’t their job to check returns and restock their own shelves! ***Their decision to deduct £149 from my refund was without discussion or any prior consent or sign off from me as a buyer.*** I messaged them and struggled to make sense of their replies, which were hard to read with no grammar or rationale that I could recognise. I also called the shop direct and spoke to staff who were as helpful as a chocolate teapot. I left my name and number twice so I could be updated and have a manager call back to sort a resolution. Nobody even bothered to call me back. With no basic customer service being shown I raised the issue with the eBay dispute team who found in my favour within the same morning and refunded the £149 I was owed within six mins. In eBay’s reply to me they strongly suggested that I report the Seller for investigation to the policy department and sent me a link to do so. I have already done this, in order to hopefully stop this happening to anyone else in future. To be clear, eBay policy does NOT state that you are unable to open the external packaging of an item. How else are you supposed to identify what is in a brown cardboard box or decide if you want to keep the item in question, never mind complete a returns form that sits inside the box. John Cooper is wrong to suggest this is the case, never mind use it as a weak excuse to withhold £149 from me by making up after-sale charges to suit himself and disregarding my basic consumer rights. The treatment from this company has been so very concerning - even more so now that they are threatening me with a libel case because I am highlighting their actions on this Google review. I wouldn’t wish to be entangled with a company who treat me like like this again and I feel since I received the latest unpleasant response on here that it’s important to share this with others. Finally, please be warned and please be wary - this company would have walked away with my £149 if they’d had their way.

Absolute rip off, do not even consider using this company. Left campervan overnight for simple job of replacing small bathroom skylight that was leaking. Was given courtesy car which broke down 5mins after leaving the place and basically told to sort it ourselves. Boss finally came out to switch courtesy car and was so rude, no apology, made us feel like it was our fault. Picked campervan up the next day to a £314 bill!! The window itself was £68 and I was quoted £150 when I left. Charge me £30 per tube of sealant, these are £10 online!! How anyone can do this to people I do not know. Hopefully people wise up and stop using John Coopers soon, they do not deserve the business! Many smaller companies out there who do deserve your business!

Very expensive. Parts are over priced. Can get a jock wheel for 27 from wilco motor save and same make. Small milk pan 10 pound 😳 Fact go outdoors is cheaper speaks volumes 😳

Great company and very pleasant to deal with. If we need a repair to our motor home they fix it if we need new equipment they obtain it. Shop stock is extensive with everything you will ever need. Many thanks to John, Joel, and Steve.

Gave them job list and booked in with them at an agreed time. Haven't done the jobs complaining too busy with other customers! Don't trust them. Good on promises, rubbish on delivery. They won't ever get my business again. Dr Steven R Hopkins

Hi, I visited John Coopers a couple a weeks ago for a full Habitation Report on my Buccaneer Commodore. John arranged for Steve, one of his Technicians to carry out the check. Steve was so informative and helpful. John is now in the process of sorting out the warranty work with Elddis. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service fitting a towbar to my new (pre owned) car. Fitted in 3 hours and they have done a very neat job. They even gave me a free courtesy car while they did the work. Highly recommended !

I am a man of few words and thank you doesn't seem enough. From my first call to driving away yesterday with a tow bar fitted to my CLA250e the service I have received was Fantastic. All worries were dispelled by John and his team and with every justification. If you are worried about having a towbar fitted to a new car . TRUST THIS TEAM. Many thanks to all involved.

JC's fitted a detachable towbar to my BMW 320d today. Very efficient , able to answer all my questions and provide guidance on the best towbar for my car based on their previous experience. Very easy to deal with, no messing, competitive price, courtesy car provided. Very happy with the result:- no problems at all, very tidy job, no mess or damage, can't even see any sign of the wiring in the boot compartment.

Maybe my face didn't fit or the guys were to interested in their bacon sandwiches to help me find what I was looking for, which is a shame. Found what I wanted online and won't be returning.
