Great park, clean and very spacious old landmark in Jamaica it is one of the two zoos in Jamaica and a great location for picknics, bunch, birthday party and much more. It hold a good history of Jamaica culture.

Best in Jamaica in terms of public parks. It’s very accessible and there is no cost attached for personal trips - groups and otherwise. It also has a wide selection of outdoor Venues (it and Hope Zoo are two different entities). If you plan to host a event here, you’ll need fire permits and event insurance.

Deplorable roads and the garden is not care for, after paying for parking their is no real parking lot we had to park under a tree with lots of leaf and bushes, also they never told us that if we're going to the zoo we need a zoo parking sticker so we had to walk there. The place is not manage good.

Lovely open park with gazebos, fountains, mazes, archways and pathways to enjoy the serene and relaxing environment to unwind in the heart of the hustle and bustle. Great place to picnic and have family outings in wide open spaces.

Good space for groups, families, couples or even solo visits. Quiet, peaceful garden. Seems to be open mid week for you to drive in and park. Otherwise you park at the designated area and walk in. There's also a zoo and a Chinese garden (not open) It's 4 stars because although it's good, a lot more can still be done

Spacious and clean environment. Suitable if you need a large space to practice dances or rehearsal. Excellent for photography, weddings, and large events. Additionally, it's also perfect for a picnic date or just a long walk with a friend.

An exquisite haven for tranquility and nature enthusiasts. The park is free, adorned with breathtaking landscapes, offering a serene escape perfect for relaxation, picnics, and events. Gazebos and fountains add to the charm, creating an idyllic atmosphere. There is also an on-site nursery with a wide range of affordable plants. There is security on the compound, a restroom if you need to go to the loo ample parking spaces. An exclusive feature is the enchanting Chinese garden, a paid attraction where a nominal fee of $500 for adults and $200 for children grants access to a unique cultural experience. Hope Garden Botanical is a harmonious blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and affordability, making it a must-visit destination in Jamaica.

Attended Zoo Lights. Great lights but dangerously poor lighting in some critical areas. Hundreds of kids running and screaming, in and out of the darkness. Signage was inadequate and obviously unilluminated so Best of luck getting to and from. eat before you go. Visit the stalls some have very affordable trinkets.

There aren’t a lot of different animals. Lots of different kinds of birds. The animals looked not cared for and the crocodile looked very dry. The staff were not very friendly and seemed to hate their jobs. I would not recommend this zoo.

Big and beautiful! The place was missing more animals and directional arrows, but do definitely recommend visiting. A few "popular" animals are there, but would have loved to see a tiger and a few other. However place is well kept, and ambiance is amazing. As nature lover, this is a must visit.

Fantastic natural experience. Be sure to see the Chinese garden. There's a small fee for that part ($500 for adults, 200 for kids) when I visited but its definitely worth it

NATURE IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!, Yes I had to shout. Hope Gardens is a site that I have been visiting as a Child and it hasn't lost its beauty. I was invited to a wedding and Man O Man they couldn't have chosen a better place to host this event. Talk about everything at one location its was like walking into a candy store on sale day. From the ceremony to the Cocktails to the reception, and it well like we were on a private plantation... and if you know Hope Gardens you know that other patrons were there and was no disturbance the whole atmosphere was exquisite.. Take me back plzzzzz. I will let the pictures fill in the blanks 🥰🥰

Awesome atmosphere to relax, do photography, have a picnic or just to hang out with family and friends. Could do with a few more seating options... but good just the same... would be nice to see different local entities adopt sections of the park to keep it 💯...

I am proud of the fact that Hope Gardens is somewhere that is free and open to citizens. There is a gate fee if you are parking, though if you are going to a restaurant they allow you to drive in and park in those related spaces without paying. It is great for birthday parties, bigger parties, and functions. It is generally quite safe though it is still necessary to be alert when you are there. It is absolutely beautiful and a definite win for nature lovers and those who heal through nature.

A places of beauty and one of the many places in Jamaican you can go with friends and be one with nature. A family friendly place. Suitable for keeping picnics and memorable events. There is also a zoo when you can talk the kids to see amazing and beautiful animals of different shapes and sizes and a Chinese Botanical Garden. It is advisable that you carry food. However, a restaurant is there is you feel for a hot cooked meal, a snack shop and a Reggae Jammin vendor to serve you. Come by, bring friends, bring the family.

We loved this place! Natural gardens are always a must for us wherever we go, and Hope Royal didn't disappoint. The park has a wide variety of flowers and other plants, all set up in a thoughtful way. Lots of wide open areas so people could do whatever they wanted without bumping into a large amount of people.

The environment was peaceful and serene but it helps to bring only nature lovers.. There is an entrance fee...we paid $200 but it varies depending on type of vehicles..its for parking... The rest room close early before 5 pm.... The compound close at 6 pm but the traffic is bad, so its best to leave early.

Beautiful, well-landscaped grounds, plenty of seating areas for individuals and large groups with tons of benches and gazebos. Tons of sanitising stations and wash areas along with restrooms throughout the property. The background of the animals along with the "Did you know?" at their holding area was very helpful and informative. Scenic and picturesque.

They need more animals....they could introduce some local animals to boost inventory . For example there are so many people who have never seen a cow or a mule in real life-just on TV or pictures. I felt the loneliness that the poor Zebra is feeling . The vegetation was green and lush though.

The place is clean and beautiful with several animals to view. The landscaping work makes the location provide a beautiful ambiance with seems to be consistently maintained. There is a Zeba, many different types of birds, snakes, monkeys, rabbits, crocodiles, donkeys, ostriches, ponies and an iguana, deer, kangaroos...those are the animals I can remember off the top of my head. A grounds man told me that they would soon have camels. Be prepared to meet the peacocks and pea hens casually walking around the grounds. Birds are the most common animals at the zoo from flamingos to ducks, from hawks to owls and many wonderful vibrantly coloured macaws. If you are lucky you may hear a birdie say hello or 'Waah gwaan'. There are many gazebos available to sit and grab a bite or relax for awhile with family and plenty of space for children to run about.

It's a great hangout spot for friends and families. The grass is lush and healthy and comfy to sit on with the exception of the numerous amounts of ant hills filled with biting ants. But obviously that can't be helped but otherwise the vibe is great there are always events being kept so there is always music to enjoy. The gazebos are clean and spacious and you can rent them for your purpose.

The garden is beautiful. It also has the chinese gardens you can visit. Which is also another beauty in itself. There is also a zoo that you can visit.

Excellent 0lace for nature lovers smacked in the 9utskirta if the urban landscape if Kingston and St. Andrew. The gardens I'd well kept and the general atmosphere is coming to ones spirit. Saturdays are the busiest if all days as many persons can be seen taking photos (comes at a cost if $2500 upon entry) while others are picknicking or studying in groups. I usually visit early Saturday mornings where I stop at the local coffee shop with my family and we have breakfast at one of the gazebos. After eating it 8a great to watch the children okay in the oush green grass. It is such a joy to see them in such a cool calm environment. I will recommend this place for those who want a quick get away to reconnect with nature.

Great for weddings, photo shoots, picnics or just chilling. The grounds are beautiful but some areas need more maintenance and up-keeping. It's also a popular venue for parties, concerts and festivals though the residents nearby hate that. They also have an organic farmers market on some Saturdays. Parking is good. The road is some areas need to be re-paved and they need more signage. Despite all of that, it's a very picturesque location.
