I usually love Hilton but I can’t understand what’s happening with me in this hotel in Kampala.🌚 I booked for 6 nights and I am writing this comments on my 2nd night. 1. When I checked in the reception , the lady who worked there was weird, she did not even say Hi when I arrive , just throw me a paper and asked me to sign, that’s it :( 2. The shampoo and shower gel are not the usual one Hilton Hotel provides, they are some random brands and it’s not something I would like to use for 7 days. 3. The AC is very noisy in the room 409 I had to change the room at my first night, however, the hotel made feel like they are doing a huge favor for me to change the room , excuse me ? the only emphasis I had was from the maintenance guy who came to check the AC. 4. The lady who works in the cafe bar at the lobby on Friday night , calls me “ this guy “ when I try to borrow a max box from her , I beg you Parton ?? me 🌚

Extremely great ambience, rooms, food and most importantly the hospitality of the hotel staffs. Special thanks to F&B Manager Mr. Das for taking the extra efforts to make the hotel feel like home. Much recommended for all travellers.

For it's size on the outside, it is incredibly spacious on the inside! Hilton Garden Inn is a very interesting cross between luxury and business. It's located outside of the buzz of the city, yet within easy reach of major landmarks; the Uganda museum right across it for instance! It is conveniently located near acacia shopping mall, a stone throw from Uganda's National referral hospital and a 5 minutes drive to Makerere university makes it ideal for short term visiting professionals and business persons.

The Hilton Garden Inn it’s very nice hotel, well located, near the Acacia Mall and the Uganda Museum. The rooms are kind of small, but the bed is comfortable, and modern. It has a gym that’s well equipped. They have a guest laundry which makes keeping clean clothes very convenient. The restaurant is pretty good with a large variety of food. The only weakness is the service, which could use some sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Excellent reception and support in hosting meetings. Hilton Garden Inn has one of the very few motor vehicle lifts that support their customers to get to their car parking with class and decency.

The rooms are so comfortable! The bed was cosy and had fresh white sheets. All the room amenities are well thought out. Loved it! The staff are really attentive and caring. The rooms also have a beautiful view of Kampala. 😍 A few thoughtful highlights: 1. Each room is equipped with an alarm clock! 2. The rain shower!!!! The water pressure made the shower amazing and really relaxing! Breakfast was an assortment of both continental and Ugandan cuisines. I definitely recommend Hilton Garden Inn Kampala to both business and vacation travelers.

GREAT ATMOSPHERE.😊😚🥰 they have good customer service, their food is epic and they are strategically located. The view from the rooms is wonderful. I loved their rook decor and despite being expensive, their services are worth your money. I highly recommend this place for honeymoons, night outs and vacation.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful hotel. One of the servers at the British council breakfast meeting was not nice, didn't catch her name but she was rude. You would think she was paying for the breakfast. Anyway everything else was beautiful.

I will definitely be coming back. Loved the customer care service, the swimming pool, the gym and the food (plus my complimentary breakfast). The rooms are also amazing and beds are comfy like other Hilton beds (if you know you know). And it's quite. The hotel is also near Acacia shopping mall and opposite the British Council Embassy.

The room was excellent. The location was prime. But, the food was not good. Service was inconsistent. Some staff were really good. But one or two were actually rude (eg. Hanging up the phone in the middle of a sentence). Overall, you have that feeling that staff are a bit dis-engaged.

Best hotel we stayed at in Uganda. Nice hotel. Decent breakfast buffet and short walk to the mall. Pool is not great

The service was great, car is provided if you needed one WiFi had great speed. The entrance was narrow could be bigger at the gates. Location is not bad either given the boda boda is 2 thousand shillings out and 3 thousand shillings in from city centre, if you are paying 5000 shillings on boda boda you being ripped off. The rooms are well sized and clean I felt that price was high. Breakfast is spot on its all you could eat really they even had hot meals.

This was my fourth or fifth time staying at this property on what are typically annual visits to Kampala for work. Time and again, I choose the Hilton Garden Inn for the comfortable rooms, excellent location, and, most importantly, the caring and attentive staff, who treat every client as a VIP and do their best to make the stress of travel disappear. As a mid-sized hotel, it has the all the amenities a traveler needs but with a more personal feel than that of a giant lodging. Everyone - from the gate to the front desk to the laundry staff - is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and they make the hotel a real home away from home. I will certainly return the next time I'm in town.

I really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were very friendly and the restaurant had great breakfast and dinner. I wish I would have had more leisure time to use the pool, but I worked every day I was there so I never got to use their nice looking pool.

A good hotel. People are respectful. Downside is the entrance. Parking is a bit compilcated. But if you are not owning a car its good. In the city center

I was pleasantly surprised at how cozy this Inn is. One of Kampala 'little' treasures. Try it but watch out for parking space issues on busy days.

An excellent hotel from the Hilton chain. Great location (the city is full of traffic jams), amazing staff. It is especially recommended to use the service of the tour desk managed by Tony. Great service.

I just checked in last night and I have 2 weeks here, so this could change to less or more stars. Great rooms, great staff, great food. However parking is cramped, security guards seem slow and shut and locked the gate at midnight so you gotta hoot and wait before he comes running (I expected 24/7 open hotel). To me some of the most negative were just personal preferences I like. For example the TV isn’t connected to the internet and one can’t watch YouTube or Netflix on the TV. I called and asked for help to connect it and I told the option was not available. Another thing I hate is the open bathroom that doesn’t close entirely, this is a terrible design concept which can spill water to the bathroom area as one showers (check photo attached).

Stayed there during my business trip and had a great time. The location is very good, the food is amazing and delicious; and the people are so kind. Especially, Mrs. Eisher, Mrs. Ketty and Mr. Vijay were so helpful. I also had the chance to meet the Administration. These are good and perfecr people and this place have so much to offer thanks to these people. Never hesitate and spend your time in Hilton, Kampala.

Very nice rooms and great customer service. Buffet breakfast was delicious and laundry available onsite. Guest safety was a priority and they had a driver available for trips around the city, instead of having to call an Uber or SafeBoda

A nice hotel near the shopping hub of Kampala. Parking is cramped. Rooms are nice. Food is average. Evenings lobby gets populated with unpleasant characters: didn’t expect this at Hilton.

When my family and I went Kampala, we stayed at the Hilton. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of professionalism and the hospitality from the Management/ Staff. The room was clean and beautiful. The atmosphere and friendly staff is one thing we admired. Indeed, Ugandans are the most humble and polite people you could ever meet. The lady at the front desk , Bettina and Passy in the dining room were such a pleasure. The food was delicious and I would strongly recommend tourists to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kampala. The pool is a decent size and relaxing when you are done with your daily events.

A mordern touch of class is evident with the hotel. In a confined space, the magic starts at the entrance...all the way to the rooms. Even if you didn't plan on staying there...you would actually check in...to get the full satisfaction.

I recently visited with 13 memebers of my family and we had a great experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We all ate at the hotel and really enjoyed the selection of food available. Want to leave a special note for the dining staff who accommodated us exceptionally well. The F&B Manager Das and his team really took care of us for dinner and drinks. We felt so comfortable that we ended up booking one more night for our final night in Uganda. Thank you team and highlight recommend!

It’s good hotel to say especially for business clients, Internet was good and steady enough to have meeting. Rooms are generally clean with iron box which comes in handy for early meetings . Food portions are massive (not my preference) Service can definitely be improved

Food is okay. Slow service. The place is understafged. The dinning room lacks character. There are better name brand hotels in Kampala.

I have stayed here before. It never disappoints. Staff goes out of their way to make me feel safe and welcomed. I was glad to see an armed guard standing by upon arrival due to recent events in Kampala. That made me feel safe.. I also liked the temperature checks ✔ and hand sanitizer as well as vehicle searches before entry. Check in was quick and easy. I asked about breakfast and was told it was included because of my Gold status.

I was here for a wedding but my biggest worry was where to park. They have enough parking for housing guests for any function. Beautiful place but only for functions with small numbers of people. Loved it and the food was equally nice.....kudos

A good place to stay if you are looking for a classy hotel in Kampala city centre outskirts. You can get anywhere in town in the shortest time from Hilton gardens. It is walkable distance to Mulago Hospital, Acacia Mall and the British Embassy. The menu is diverse and food is delicious but can be improved for its price. On average, a meal costs 60,000 Uganda shs . The staff are very helpful if you need anything although a little slow. The place is very clean, easily accessible with ample parking in the basement.

The hotel is very good as a facility It's new and the furniture is new also However the administration is not on the same level I should have been paying with my card and there was an issue to withdraw the amount so the reception insisted to pay in cash in advance I gave them the money cash then to try to withdraw again tomorrow, however they refused to try gain and give the cash back Another main issue that I checked in at 3am reserving 2 half board nights however I forgot that checking in at 3 am the half board of the first night would have passed and the receptionist didn't advise me that is wouldn't be beneficial Third and last at the restaurant when you order ahead make sure it will be something between 35 to 50 minutes for the food to come Overall its value for price of the facility is good The Internet and food quality and quality are very very good Stuff needs to be more flexible I would love to give them the 5 stars because the facility deserves it At the time of pandemic They have separators They check the temperature They have a mask rule For Muslim travellers Make sure that the food is Halal and no pork in it Note that Wine is available at the hotel No prayer room but ofcourse you can pray in your room or any convenient place

Clean rooms, quiet. Bright, modern. Friendly staff. Fitness room is quite musty smelling with basic equipment and just a few free weights. Food in restaurant is so so. Ordered a margarita pizza, which tasted mostly like a frozen pizza. It had no basil. They didn’t have my first choice. Waitress didn’t seem to care. She never came back. Laundry service only available during the day I was told (after I checkout). That makes no sense.

Staff are miserable. Unfriendly. I was serviced a rotten dessert to eat even after I have asked the manager if the cakes were fresh. He told me they were baked in the morning and put out. You have dinner at the restaurant but you have to go one floor down to have your dessert as I was told desserts are not severed in the restaurant by the waiter. Please DON'T waste your money staying at this hotel. I think you would get better service from a 1 star Hotel than you would get from the likes of the HILTON IN Kampala.

I am a frequent visitor of this hotel. I visit Kampala every 3 months for work. I’ve stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn twice now, but this time I was extremely disappointed with the customer service from the staff upon check out. The man at the front desk on the morning of 21st September 2022 was rude, and arrogant. I had a single room booked and confirmed. Upon checking out, he tried to charge me for double occupancy and argued with me informing me of how I was wrong?! I’ve never experienced a more rude member of staff. I was thrilled to pull up my confirmation email proving him wrong. I’ll most definitely be considering other hotel options in the future and not recommending this to fellow colleagues and business owners who visit Kampala.
