First time we have been to the windle for food since they changed the chef. The food was beautiful, we enjoyed every last bit of the food. Credit to the chef and we will be back for sure!

A fair and honest review.... The sign outside says Under New Management ... The pub itself was welcoming as was the Bar Staff We had Sunday Roast - presentation was OK . The beef was lovely as was the veg. The roast potatoes was slightly undercooked and the gravy to thin for my personal liking. The Yorkies was nice. Price wise wasn't too bad but I have had better for less ££'s I'll give it a few months before I venture back again but I will try here again ....

After an unsettled couple of years and constant management changes, we stopped going in, but decided to call over for a couple of pints last night as heard it was under new management. Felt very welcoming and had a brief chat with the new landlord who was very pleasant. We aren't ones for eating out but they were serving food and it looked very nice. Good to have a catchup with some of the locals.

Went there yesterday ... just under new management lovely friendly landlords and landlady's....pub just taking off with big plans for the place in the future Andrew is a comical genius and you will not be dissapointed I will be going back... there are a few things they are improving on little fixes here and there but I'm sure they will get there as that's how they inherited the pub...they will be putting live acts on and had one on opening night where the place was packed ... we have bought our new year's eve tickets ready and cannot wait

I enjoyed my meal here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was good for the price. Only negative was that a significant amount of the menu was not available- but the staff were apologetic and accommodating. I would return!

We had a really poor meal and experience here on Sunday. We ordered two cheese burgers and chips, fish fingers and fries for our two-year-old and some salt and pepper wings on the side. The burger patties were half the size of the bun, with grated mozzerella and a lettuce leaf. Definitely not pub quality. The chips were undercooked, which we had to send back. The burgers came back on their own as they were the last two, and they didn't want them to go cold, so we had to eat the burgers first and wait 10 mins for the chips. When they finally did arrive, they were undercooked again. The fish fingers were the same. Luckily, our daughter didn't eat any but the one I tried was undercooked and cold. The salt and pepper chicken wings were shop-bought and heated up, and came on a bed of lettuce. No peppers, onions, etc. They were fine, but not at all worth the money, and definitely not salt and pepper. Even after we had sent the food back, no-one came to check on us to make sure everything was okay. As soon as we stood up to leave, someone rushed over to clear our plates and it was obvious they were avoiding talking to us. After I got home, I called the pub to speak to the manager. He said he would look into it and call me straight back. Two days later and I'm yet to hear from him. It's such a shame that a local, independently owned pub has let us down like this. Really disappointing as we ate here several times a couple of years ago and it was great. Seems to have gone downhill, unfortunately.

We visited the windle recently at the end of February. There was a lot on the menu that was unavailable due to a problem with the delivery which happens but my reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the fact that some things we weren't told about until we had already ordered. Some meals came without things such as no onion rings and when people asked about them they said they had none left. The waitress was so nice and we felt bad on her and completely understood but might be worth just popping it down before people order as to what isn't available so people can have the choice around meals. I ordered a peppercorn sauce and had to ask for it and still waited a good while to the point I had to just eat without it as food was getting cold. All in all it was lovely and I would definitely go back. Food was tasty and well cooked and I feel bad putting 4 but this was only for the absence of a lot of food items, some we weren't aware of till food came and the fact that sauce didn't come out and most people had finished theirs before it came out. I had steak and opted for it not to come out on stoneplate as didn't fancy cooking it myself and this was no i problem - it was well cooked and I enjoyed it 😀 nice to have the option as think nice to be able to cook steak yourself...although not for me x

Had a fabulous meal this afternoon the food was superb the service was helpful and attentive could not fault! Am so happy to have found this place to enjoy a meal in future xxx

Visited twice recently. Was hoping to eat (1.30pm ish) but food only being served after 4pm despite lunchtime menu boards in carpark. 2nd visit was weekend and we managed to get a light bite.

Excellent service, food looked good but no taste/ flavour in the cheese burger,( very dry) best part of meal was the chips, wife's curry was ok.

The pub was quite food was good not much to choose from the menu because of being mid week

A lot of time and effort as gone into the renovation and it looks lovely,food took awhile to arrive but not a problem I ordered the lasagne and it was beautiful it had the best dressed side salad I've ever eaten,lovely outside area my only negative is the price of the beer

Best Sunday meal I've had for a long time, Great value large portions and friendly staff and good atmosphere. Would definitely go back and would recommend them to family and friends 👍.

Just had an absolutely gorgeous Sunday dinner at the windle one of the best I’ve had in a very long time really delicious great portions good value service exemplary would definitely recommend
