I give the Soul Food Coffee House and Fair Trade Emporium that's located at 15748 Redmond Way, Redmond, WA 98052 FIVE COFFEE STARS. New to this area and now I have a place to chill while enjoying a great cup of coffee. I've been exploring many coffee spots and this one is now on top of my list. Such peace with a relaxing vibe. 5️⃣ ?'S next time I'm in town I will stop by again.

This is an excellent coffee and tea house. I am a tea drinker, the list of tea is very large, and the teas are delicious. The is a great place to order tea or coffee to-go or stay for a while. If you need to study or read a book, this is a great place to grab a beverage and relax. The staff are exceptional, I highly recommend this establishment.

Absolutely beautiful place, surrounded by bookshelves you can find any nook to hide away in and feel truly taken care of. The blackberry mocha drink was novel to me and delicious, while the chicken biscuit was small for the price, it was at least made with care. It sits beside a Starbucks and really shows how great a coffee shop can be when they aren't a large corporation.

Incredible baked goods, food, and drinks. Try the London fog and a scone! This spot has cool and friendly vibes with a warm coffee shop feel. We ate outside and it was wonderful! The shop inside sells unique items like incense, crystals, candles, etc.! Can't wait to go back for live music.

I love love love this place. I just feel at home here. Offers plenty of gift quality products, books, and beautiful home items. I always find a comfy chair and the baristas are top notch. Also really appreciate how close it is to the Sammammish River Trail, if I want to take my coffee for a walk.

This place has a metaphysical theme. I won't call it spiritual. But I agree with the name of this coffee house with the theme it has. A very cozy place with different sitting places for having coffee and for reading. I am not a coffee connoisseur but I really like the coffee here.

Very cute coffee shop. Nice atmosphere to chat with friends, but felt silly to have an upcharge for alternative milks. There were decent vegan food options, and they were labeled well. The London Fog with soy milk was pretty yummy.

The moment you step in, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee wraps around you, creating an immediate sense of warmth and comfort. The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the earthy decor, gives this place a fantastic vibe. It's the kind of spot where you can truly unwind. The friendly baristas not only know their coffee but are also passionate about creating the perfect cup tailored to your taste. It's a haven for those seeking a break from the hustle, a place where you can sip your coffee, soak in the great vibe, and maybe even enjoy some live music. This is more than a coffee shop; it's an experience.

I went into the place to get a drink. The woman at the checkout was very apathetic, almost rude I would say. I asked her some questions about some drinks and she treated me like I was stupid. Answering my questions was a huge inconvenience to her. The person who ordered after me got their drink first and she took 4 more orders before starting to make my order. I will never go back.

The chai lattes here are amazing! They have several different options, so make multiple visits and try them all! Also there's nice ambiance to sit, sip, and talk with someone if you like. There is a really cool rock collect with lots of things for sale too. Definitely a cool place with a great vibe!

It's very dark inside. Wearing transition lenses I almost tripped over stuff. ... and there's a lot of it. All sorts of curiosities and tchotchkes to check out while you're waiting for your coffee. Cappuccino is fairly good, nothing special.

It's a good place to hangout for a coffee drinker or a quiet place to get things done on a laptop. Looks like they got some poetry slams that go off there or some open mics. I've never been there for such things but it would be cool to check out.

First time here and would definitely recommend. Loved the vibe. I was unsure of what to try and went with the staff recommendation of a gingerbread dark mocha made with hemp milk. So delicious and creamy.

I travel a lot and frequent coffee shops where I am for about a month or two at a time for morning coffee, wifi and good vibes. This place felt like an incredible find, I'm so glad I came in. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is immaculate and the drinks are delicious. Lots of comfy seating of all kinds, lots of outlets around for charging devices, great music. Not to mention local art, crystals, incense, and lots more for sale in the front. They also have lots of events throughout the week, although I was never able to attend, they look really fun! Stop by on Thursdays (as of now) for a walk-in tarot reading!

Great place! It's warm and inviting with a variety of couches and tables. The coffee is tasty albeit a little pricey. The shop sells a variety of things too. Great place to pass the time or socialize with friends. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Redmond.

The barista's are all so patient and welcoming! The coffee is delicous and the lattes aren't too sweet. They also have a variety of plant-based baked goods! The environment is wonderful and I highly recommend.

If your not in a hurry and want a great cup of Chai this is the place to go! Let's be honest service is slow, but it's totally worth the wait! This is my favorite chai place in Redmond hands down! If your not a big chai fan, check out their vegan and gf pastry items! Looking for crystals and other rocks they probably have it or can point you in the right direction for your needs.

My favorite coffee shop in town! Yes, there's lots of woo woo, but it feels warm and inviting, with many community events. Great sandwiches and drinks, served in mismatched mugs to be drunk in actual cozy furniture, not steel chairs and cookie-cutter decor. Try the Chai of the Tiger!

  • 4/5 Momo S. 11 months ago on Google
Usually pretty good, they have off days when they're understaffed. One thing for sure is that they got a great roast. Service is great, atmosphere is unique and fun however you'll get a strong smell attached to your clothes if you stay there for a while. Don't order the scones. Definitely get coffee here, tastes great.

  • 5/5 Annika E. 11 months ago on Google
It’s no more or less expensive than Mercury’s~ pricey for some, but so is everything else in WA 🥰 Love the drink menu— they have rotating seasonal drinks, but the warm atmosphere is what has made me come back again and again. Bakery wise, you can pinpoint where they buy the food, so comparing the prices here vs the source of the items can make the markups seem a little ridiculous— Costco muffins, instant oats, etc., however, I don’t go for the food, so I don’t really care. I also wouldn’t mind spending more for the convenience factor and just to support the business. Overall, the hippie vibe, the friendly atmosphere, the jewelry, the holistic merch, the incense, the patient workers, etc. have me coming back for more! I’m not an astrology girlie, and I’m also not normally into the whole “crystal scene”/cottage core kinda vibe, but I truly just get a good feeling about this place— bonus points: my style has changed many times in the past 6 years I’ve been coming here (basic, gothic, cute, streetwear, sweats, athletic, etc.), but on any given day, whether it looks like I “fit in” there or not, I’ve never felt judged or made to feel unwelcome or out of place, which sounds standard, but unfortunately isn’t always the case in other places in WA with this vibe ;3 <3

Love this place! Great coffee, live entertainment, kid friendly, laid back atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have books and gemstones and local art and naturopathy items. In the age of big-chain homogenous coffee houses, we need to cherish and support unique local spot like this.

  • 4/5 Amey B. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice n hippy place. Giving 4 stars for the vibe but the black coffee was okay and the hot chocolate was terrible.

  • 5/5 Mrs K. 1 year ago on Google
Besides the coffee being AMAZING!! The ambience of this place is PERFECT!!! They have a few different sandwiches and pastries (vegan items available). You can have coffee and read a book in a peaceful environment or you can log into your laptop and get some work done . They are also a gift shop with beautiful stones , great incense and more . Customer service was excellent. I’ll definitely be back for more

I don't drink coffee, but I needed a comfortable place to work for the day. The atmosphere was perfect. The staff extremely helpful. And, the muffins are delicious. Will definitely come back when I'm in town.

  • 3/5 Gabriela H. 10 months ago on Google
I really wanted to like this place more. My seasonal latte with oat milk ended up costing more than a similar drink in Los Angeles. I found a cozy corner to get a bit of work done, but a woman came by and hour or so later and told me it was the readers spot. I then relocated into the more open area, where it was too loud. Multiple people were either taking video calls without headphones or chatting with a group of friends. It just didn’t seem conducive to a work environment on a Friday morning, but maybe that’s my mistake. I felt compelled to leave shorty after moving spots. Will I be back? Unlikely. Maybe to check out an event or get coffee to go, but there are several other coffee shops in the area.

  • 5/5 Lucy Ying-Ju C. 9 months ago on Google
Excellent shop. Good food and cozy space to work/study for couple hours. Lots of vegan/ vegetarian options. Cool vibe. Have to give 5 star to support this unique atmosphere!! Just hoping the following suggestions can be considered… the smell of the kitchen smoke is making me feel sick, it’d be much better if air can be filtered. Also I would love the smoothie options to be back!!!

  • 5/5 Avi A. 6 months ago on Google
One of my favorite spots in Redmond. Great vibe and atmosphere, coffee is really good and they have some pretty good casual food options. Love their breakfast burritos. The place is very kid friendly.

  • 4/5 Ashley E. 7 months ago on Google
We really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere of this cafe. Their cheese danish was delish. Their lattes are less frothy and resemble Starbucks in taste and texture. I prefer a frothier, thicker, creamier style latte, but that's just me.

  • 3/5 Tamara 6 months ago on Google
Nice Atmosphere. Too much lights. Very cold during winter ( editing my review during November and it is cold at the cafe). The bathroom can be cleaned more often. No toilet paper, no place with a hook to hang your things when you go there. But the GEM: I was asked to leave my desk where I was working because someone came to “read tarot cards” and she is more important than me because she pays the owner for getting that table! Oxymoron. If she's a fortune teller, she is a huge failure. She isn’t rich enough to have her own place and she needs my poor table at this coffee place. If you like mysterious and new age cafe, this is the place for you.

Some really excellent coffee. Food choices are average. Not bad by any means but likely bought from a local big box chain. The nice part is that hot sandwiches are made to order so there is some customization possible. The people are wonderful. I regret that I discovered this place during the COVID 19 downturn. I am anxious to see this place in full swing...with live music and all.

Probably the best coffee shop in the Seattle metropolitan area! The staff and other patrons are kind, friendly and welcoming. The environment is cozy, peaceful and warm. I can't say enough good things about Soul Food.

  • 5/5 Rose 3 years ago on Google
I grew up coming to Soul Food, before the current owners even owned the shop! I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is one of the most warm, inviting, and comforting places in Redmond. With a wide variety of crystals, oils, candles, coffees, cold drinks, and delicious foods, Soulfood always makes you want to come back. This is a great place (outside of the current pandemic) to meet new people and listen to local artists as well. I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already.

This is my favorite haunt for drinking tea and buying crystals. Very nice vibes, very nice staff. This place has live music and open mic nights, as well as guest speakers. If you're into New Age lifestyle, you'll find pretty much all you need here--incense, gemstones, cauldrons, tarot/oracle cards, pendulums, candles, natural remedies, etc. This is the closest thing you'll get to a 'witch shop' in Downtown Redmond.

  • 2/5 Crystal K. 4 years ago on Google
I really liked the concept & loved the assortment of syrups! The service was friendly and we tipped well. We did not like the drinks at all. Ordered a 12 oz hot latte and a 16 oz iced latte both with syrup. Both coffees were lacking appropriate amount of espresso and we both threw them out after a few sips. Some barista training is needed.

  • 5/5 Shawn W. 4 years ago on Google
What can I say? LOVE (love love love) this place. It's my go-to place for espresso, a cookie, and a comfy chair where I can write and people-watch. Good selection of crystals (and the owner is very knowledgeable). Astrology night with Rick Levine +1. Even though I'm not much for open mic music, there has been some very good talent. Only improvement I could suggest is I've tried the pot of tea a few times but it is so weak there's almost no flavor.

  • 5/5 Natalie E. 4 years ago on Google
Soulfood is an awesome place to hang out and do anything. Events are happening all the time, making it a community center. At off times it is quiet and they have lots of outlets for working. The people at the counter are super nice. And their drinks and food are awesome too!

  • 5/5 Levi S. 4 years ago on Google
If you are looking for a place to relax, rejuvenate and maybe get some spiritual inspiration this is it. The people here are awesome, patient and kind. The music is always needed. The vibe is unexplainable. I like to come here to work or just get out of the house. If you need Crystal's, books, incense, tarot reader, live music, etc. Have no fear soul food is near!

  • 5/5 Caleb M. 4 years ago on Google
Very unique place. It's a cafe with everything you would typically expect, but it's also a cute little shop with incense, stones, jewelry and more. There are plenty of places to sit and do work or to read a book. They also have a stage for live music that occurs on certain nights. Overall a geat place that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy spot to spend a few hours.

  • 5/5 Diva B. 4 years ago on Google
This place really is a Hidden Gem. Great place to go relax have some great tea and on the second Thursdays and last Fridays of the month listen to some world-class musicians play.

One of my favorite coffee shops to visit. It's always so home-y, the coffee and the combinations they make always taste good and are unique, and most importantly the staff is incredibly friendly. I love the vibe to sit down and have a chat or get work done - I definitely think this is one of the best and most unique coffee shops in Washington.

  • 3/5 Aditi G. 2 years ago on Google
I really like this cafe and visit it often. I like that it is spacious, has natural light and has comfortable and varied furniture. Coffee is also good. I like that they promote local artists and businesses. My only problem with it is the cleanliness. The cafe has a good energy and vibe but its energy will improve if it is cleaner - the displayed items, shelves and light fixtures have lots of dust and some spider webs. I sat on a cloth couch recently and felt like washing my clothes afterwards.

This place gives you a different vibe than other coffee shops. Relax and enjoy life is the theme. A music stage, two seating areas, merchandise, palm reader?, But all flows well. Coffee is decent.

An absolutely amazing little coffee shop hidden from the world. Has all the usual drinks, but then some unique ones as well. The vibe is relaxed and warm. I try to go weekly!
