Such a gorgeous restaurant with incredible food - we had the pork belly and the lamb and it blew us away! The two women waiting on us were also incredible - thank you everyone! Edit: finally went for a roast and can confidently say it is the best roast in Sheffield!

Always happy to eat in a restaurant that has a smaller menu and cooks quality ingredients very well.

Really enjoyed our meal here, been a couple if time already and booked to go again in a couple of weeks. Service was great and the food delicious, could easily have managed a larger calamari portion, the pork and lamb were delicious however my go to must have are the truffle chips. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely and that sauce was amazing. Looking forward to returning already.

Nice enough restaurant. Very accommodating of the dietary requirements of some of our party. Rather large portions were off-putting. Haddock tart to start was almost excellent, turkey for main was so-so and definitely didn’t need a Yorkshire on top of everything else. Toffee pudding was good.

I just fancied a burger and this one nailed it. Lovely. The locally produced lager was nice too. Calamari starter, spot on. But what really made the experience for me and my wife was the lovely staff. All jolly and happy and the perfect amount of interaction.

Delicious food, beautifully made and presented. Lovely staff and friendly, wonderful service. We shared a bottle of delicious Malbec too. My only issue is that every dish sounded delicious so was spolit for choice! We had the arancini and squid to start and pork belly and steak special for main courses. All dishes were wonderful. I'm going to try the vegan pie next time. Lovely place and fantastic evening. My husband said it was amongst the best food he'd ever had in a restaurant! Highly recommend and can't wait to go back. First visit for me. Bread and olives to start, chicken for main and choc & orange fondant for dessert. The main was exceptional and service was brilliant. £40 inc drinks. It's a lovely, intimate bistro and my visit was only marred by THE LOUDEST man on the next table....

Turnip &thyme is a fantastic restaurant. Wonderful food can fully recommend the Sunday lunches. My husband and myself love this restaurant. The staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble.

An absolute treat, met by friendly staff and an atmosphere that goes hand in hand with the quality of the food it serves. Had a takeaway this evening that was great and will almost certainly be popping in again to enjoy what else this place has to offer.

We had dinner here on New Years Eve. Cute little restaurant with +/- 10 tables and friendly staff. Food was very tasteful. Only con I can think of is that it was a bit pricey.

Went with my wife, sister and brother in law for the first time last Saturday. With a cracking ambiance, we were led to our table, sat and were handed menus. There wasn’t a huge choice but every item was carefully selected for the menu. The starters and main courses were off the scale with baked cod, roasted pork belly and calamari. All great! The staff were attentive without being there all the time and helped us make choices when needed. The evening just turned out to be a cracking and special event. Highly recommend.

Just went to Turnip and thyme and had a great experience, the best eatery I've been to in Sheffield so far. Very nicely decorated, friendly service (also very relaxed about the fact we were about 15 minutes late), and the food was very tasty. Would highly recommend the lamb with sweet potato puree and vegetables. Prawn bruscetta was tasty but I would say slightly expensive for the portion size. Regardless we will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Lovely place for Sunday lunch. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived. Food was delicious, the whole family enjoyed it. We had the Sunday lunch menu and a la cart and neither disappointed. Can thoroughly recommend it and will definitely come back.

The food was excellent. We had Calamari starter which was outstanding. Our mains of Crispy fried Seabass and Lamb Rump was presented to a very high standard. The service was just as good as the food. Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. We will be back it was superb.

First visit to this restaurant last night and i thought it was exceptional. From the stunning food offered, to the cosy atmosphere in the restaurant to the lovely and friendly service from the two girls working the house. Had a lovely early evening meal with friends on Saturday. Nice range of starters and mains to suit everyone's tastes. Restaurant was lovely and cool, well spaced out tables. Staff were attentive. Meal was superb. I had the Calamari & Lamb Burger with a cheeky fondant to finish. Firmly recommend!

What a wonderful evening we had. We had an early table so we know we had to vacate at 7.15 so the next booking could arrive. The staff were brilliant, they juggled some tables around so we could stay and enjoy a pudding after a wonderful meal in which the chef had accommodated various dietary preferences. We will most definitely be coming back!

My first time at this lovely little place. Food was really well cooked presentation was good staff very friendly. Only complaint was that the coffee machine broke down before we managed to get ours?? Would recommend this bistro

Excellent food, friendly inobtrusive service. All 3 courses prepared when ordered. The smoked salmon tagliatelle was wonderful. A small bistro with a big heart. Will definitely eat there again.

Lovely meal to celebrate! Small menu but a good choice still. We had the bread with olives and trio of butters which was yummy to start! Simple but the butters were so good. Good to share between two people. My partner then had the lamb rump and I had the sea bass. Flavours on both were delicious! The lamb was probably the most tender I’ve ever had and the veg was cooked perfectly with a tasty sauce. The fish itself was a bit on the small side but the accompaniments were very fresh, tasty and flavoursome! Pudding my partner had lemon cheesecake with champagne sorbet- the sorbet was a bit snotty, flavour was good and obviously champagne but think the texture needed some work, felt like it would never melt and was quite tacky, the cheesecake was subtlety lemony and fresh, it’s not zingy more like a posset. I had the chocolate and coffee fondant with whiskey sauce! Very good fondant! One of the better ones I’ve had, good size delicious middle. Only down side was that I couldn’t taste the coffee at all and there was only the smallest touch of whiskey sauce which was lovely but only lasted the first mouthful! Overall would defiantly recommend for starter and main!! The puddings weren’t as strong or at least they weren’t worth the £9.50 each for us. The service was friendly & efficient! Small cute little place! Very intimate! Quite pricey but everywhere is these days and the flavours were amazing. Thank you for a nice evening!

We were there at the end of their service so we were the only table occupied. However, the food and service were still excellent.

Ordered several Sunday dinners to be delivered from here and never disappointed. I just love their roast lamb which always comes with a decent sized Yorkshire, plenty of roasties and a nice medley of seasonal vegetables with lovely gravy. Top quality food made with top quality ingredients and highly recommended. If I was to have a minor criticism and it really is minor, there's no mint sauce available but thats not really an issue to me as I have plenty in the garden and make my own

Celebrated my sisters graduation meal at Turnip & Thyme. The service was amazing, the food was divine . I loved my starter which was calamari 10/10. My main was fish and chips the fish was my favourite. If you’re looking for a lovely setting with good vibes and food here is the place ! If I’m back in sheffield I’ll be here <3

Had a takeaway during CoVid lockdown. First time eating here and I am completely blown away. That pork is one of the nicest bits of meat I have ever had and I've eaten in some fancy places. Probably one of the top 10 meals of my life, and considering it came out a cardboard box and plastic tub I am shocked. Definitely will be visiting once lockdown ends and I hope you survive this mess!

We’ve ordered for delivery a few times and every single time it’s been amazing. The burgers are divine and the chips are always hot and crispy on arrival. Excellent food and excellent customer service. And a special mention for the cardboard boxes, the burgers just look so happy in them.

10/10! Since the pandemic started last year we order takeaway from T&T pretty much once a week🙈 The standard of food is incredible and service is so friendly and efficient. One of these days we can’t wait to actually visit the restaurant itself!
