Came back to the hog and their updated menu is even better than the original. remains a great local spot to come for breakfast! The pastrami on the up in smoke was perfection. They offer the choice of any breakfast sandwich to be served on hashbrowns, which was appreciated if you really love hashbrowns. It's hard to find a place that good perfect eggs, and the egg knocks it out of the park. Give them a visit for some delicious breakfast classics and some unique combinations!

Chef Adam Sternberg is a master. My friend who lives nearby has been raving about this place and I knew it was one of the first places I needed to visit during my trip from SoCal. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Chef is reinventing the sandwich with some incredible flavor combinations that make you want to keep going back for more. The sandwiches borderline on the decadent, but that’s never a bad thing. What can be better than enjoying delicious food from a small business owned by a husband & wife duo?

Got the Hog Egg N' Chess w/Pastrami and the OG Birdie. Both lived up to the hype in other reviews here. Also, I got their coffee and it was very good as well. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Also, I love their dining area. Much nicer than a Panera or Starbucks if you want a place to hang-out and chill with friends. Will go back with friends the next time. We really need more of these independently owned stores in this area.

Wow. This is the best fried chicken in the Hudson Valley. Crispy and well seasoned exterior but fresh and juicy at the same time. Hashbrown patty fries were crispy but not too salty or over-fried and paired well with The Hog sauce. Hot and Iced coffees were brewed well. The only real negative I have is the bacon. It was very chewy and honestly my dish didn't even need it, if I'm honest. That Bird on a Liege though, oh lord. My only request is that instead of 1 piece of chicken on top of a liege waffle, add a menu item that's a smaller piece of chicken between TWO of those liege waffles and call it the Messiest Sandwich Ever. Take my money & stop my heart.

Had high expectations... Was not let down! For more than a year I had been seeing these delectable sandwiches on Instagram from following The Hog's personal account and also seeing the local media pick up on the buzz. So glad I finally went and indulged. The 'Morning Birdie' is an absolute unit of a sandwich that sent me home stuffed and having to take an early afternoon nap. The ginger cole slaw was also a surprisingly refreshing side.

The BEST sandwiches and salads in the Hudson Valley! My partner and I come here regularly, and we’ve also done takeout and delivery. Every time we eat here, or bring family and friends, we all say the same thing: “WOW!”. ❤️ The PEC sandwich has been my go-to lately (there are hashbrowns on it!), and we always get an order of the amazing patty fries on the side. The owners are the most amazing, caring, thoughtful people you’ll meet. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose from their creative, mindblowingly-delicious menu.

The Hog is the BEST little cafe! Delicious, home cooked food with a smile! The owners are so friendly, down to earth & happy to make you whatever you desire. Their menu offers different items that you don’t typically see or with their own spin on traditionals. Inside is super cute, clean & has its own vibe. This is a MUST stop in Wappingers Village. They also offer take out a few nights a week for an easy dinner! Definitely the yummiest cheesesteak around!

So, I had heard a good buzz about this place. I checked them out online and, to be honest, I thought prices seemed a bit high for sandwiches. But I did want to try it, so I ordered a Madone sandwich for myself and an Ultimo Cubano sandwich for my father. Both were absolutely delicious. So much thought and flavor put into these delicacies. The first thing to know is that this is a Mom and Pop business. On top of that fact, they cook everything fresh. The reason I am pointing this out is there can be a bit of a wait for food. I had been forewarned about that fact, so I placed an online order for pickup; and there was about a 45 minute wait at that point. Because I had never been there, I decided to stop in early to see what the place looked like. When we walked in, we were greeted to the owner (slash - only employee today) and explained to him we came early just to be able to see the place. With a big smile he explained it will still be another half hour but he was working on it; then he proceeded to ask if we wanted coffee (which I did). He got it for me promptly and then he went back to work on our order. The restaurant itself was bigger than it felt from the outside. And I found it's decor very inviting. At the time we sat down we were the only customers there. We went into a side room seating area and drank my coffee. As we did that we perused the actual menu and read a rather interesting trivia card that was sitting around as decor. I must say they have a lot of sandwiches I would like to try. About 15 minutes after, the owner came out and said our food was ready. Once again he was very engaging and said "look .. and I'm 15 minutes early". Then he explained that he usually has his wife working with him (ergo my mom and pop comment earlier) . But between a car issue, and the kids going back to school, he was doing a solo act today. We thanked him sincerely and left (with the aroma of the foods overwhelming the car). End result ... Support your local mom and pop shops/restaurants when you can. Even if it costs a little more. Every once in awhile you will be rewarded for your thoughtfulness by finding a place like this. Who's food is like no others .... FIVE STARS and my thanks.

Stopped in for lunch with the wife. Really nice establishment and the owner is super friendly. Food was phenomenal. Had the cali chorizo burger and the miso Caesar bowl. Portions are decent. Next time really like to try their coffee. A hidden gem for sure!

Ordered from The Hog for the first time. A few of our friends recommended it. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and was worth the trip across route 9. The sandwiches were certainly made with quality meats. We also ordered the Patty Fries were really good with the Hog sauce. Will definitely be returning!

Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had and I live in the south! Me and my family came in, ages 3-47 and every dish was totally devoured! Adam and Corrine are wonderful and have made the space inviting, fun and super homey with their own funky style. I am still dreaming of the maple gochujang chicken but the chopped cheese and real deal philly may be next on my hit list when I make it back up north! Thank you for a meal we are still raving about!!

Cute place, life changing-ly good chicken sandwich, and great coffee. What more do you need? The owners are very personable and took the time to chat with our party as well.
