Wonderful stay in Hostel Swastik in the magic bhaktapur! The place is so cozy and lovable, beds and pillows are so comfy and warm. Breakfast is super good and I enjoyed so much spending some chill time at the movie room too! Thanks to Biswo for your super kindness and availability! :)

I highly recommend this place! The owner Bishwo is incredibly nice and welcoming and will give you loads of tips on how to discover Bhaktapur. He also organizes free outdoor trips once a week for the guests. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and supportive. You can tell that Bishwo doesn't care about the money and instead wants his guests to have the best possible experience. I highly recommend this place!

I am happy that I found this place. Its an uncommercial spot with lots of interesting touches. Thanks to Bishwo - the owner, I have experienced my warmest stay at hostel so fare. We spended evenings watching movies in cinema room. Bishwo made for us many tours around amazing Bhaktapur and during Daseng festival he showed us all of the temples where the celebrations were taking part. We also went for waterfall trip which I truly loved and recommend. This hostel is also a great spot to socialize and meet nice people. It provides very good wifi, comfy beds, delicious food, possibility to practice yoga or any excersice on the rooftop next door at swastik guest house. Its budget friendly. The price reflects the quality of the lodges, so adjust your expectations. The owner is lovely and helpfull. I hope to be back soon ❤️

Even though we did not stay here, we needed to use the Internet whilst staying in Bhaktapur over Dashain as our hotel did not have decent WiFi. We phoned up the hostel and spoke to the owner Vishoo. He very kindly agreed for us to come over and use the WiFi at his hostel, not only does he have the fastest wifi, he even offered us tea (on the house) and some great company. Will highly recommend this guy based on his customer service and will defo stay with him the next time we're in Bhaktapur. I understand this is a budget guesthouse, but it doesn't meet even the most basic standards. Everything is aged and dusty, the room has a bad smell because of damp carpet, no hot shower, the toilet broken so it cannot flush. Even the water bottle provided in the room has a broken seal which means it was filled with water of dubious origin. No breakfast or restaurant in the guesthouse. For a few extra dollars you can find accommodation that is miles better in Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur is an excellent spot to explore the cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu. The architecture blew my mind. The owner Bishwo was so generous and my stay at his hostel was the perfect end to my incredible stay in Nepal. They have the option of a lodge and a hostel so what ever your accommodation needs Bishwo and his team can help. Look forward to a return visit

Best in Bhaktapur I stayed here for a few months, I loved I here that much. The room had a beautiful view of the old city where the locals would hang out. While I was there they steamed cleaned the carpets, upgraded the wifi, offered to clean my room, any requests were always taken with ease. They were always taking measures to improve the facilitys and standards with so much care. Bishwo, the owner is absolutely gold, he is always so willing to make sure you have the best time in Nepal and devotes so much of his day to take care of the guests, answer questions, tell you about the culture and life in Bhaktapur. He really treats you like family. Indu, the young women at the reception is very kind, open and warm hearted. The owner is also running a Hostel across the road, which is a nice place to hang out and meet other travelers, what an absolute bonus. I even stayed a few nights in the hostel. The staff are also building the best rooftop kitchen and bar at the guesthouse, I can't wait to be back!!

Great Hostel in Bhaktapur! The owner Bishwo put his heart into the place, is welcoming and takes well care of every guest. You will get a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at this place with great people and staff. The hostel has nice community areas to chill or to connect with other travellers. They also organize evening tours around the city with the hostel guests so you get to know the city from a local perspective. Highly recommend the place if you are staying in Bhaktapur!

It is almost like HOME for me ... discovered Swastik Guest House in 2021 actually just for a short trip of two days from Kathmandu city, two days were planed but I extended my stay for much longer, cause I fell in love with both guest house and Bhaktapur ... 2023 i returned to Bhaktapur and of course stayed again in Swastik Guest House ....Bhiswa the owner is very helping and caring whatever the guest wish might be ...I was sick and he brought some food. Also other wishes he cares for asap ! For me THE place to stay in Bhaktapur, very quiet surroundings and feels like being in a village the neighbourhood ... I will 100% come back again ! Dherai Dhanyabaad !

It was great to stay at Bishu's guest house ! We expected to stay just 1 night and ended up staying longer ! Bishu is a great host and guide through Bhaktapur ! Asking him to bring you to hotel california 😋

The location is sweet. In the edge of the cultural city and near an easily identifiable pond. Just a few minutes walk from kamalbinayak. The property is cheap and can woo the traveller with its backpacking vibe. The owner is a sweet and helpful person. Rooms are near and cleaned daily. The un house chef makes some delicious momos. I was there on new year and the celebration is a memory to ve carried on.

Swastik hostel is the first place where I felt at home in Nepal. It's a small hostel with a range of different rooms and a great, family-like atmosphere. You can have some breakfast there and they have a lovely cinema room. It's a budget friendly hostel, and the price is appropriate to what you get. You will find everything you need, just ask the people from the hostel, they are always more than happy to help! The best thing was that the hosts, spontaneously took us around Bhaktapur in the evening for a local experience of the Dashain festival. We loved discovering the temples, squares, Newari food,... Bhaktapur is a beautiful, authentic city where you can stay for a while to do some slow traveling. I defenitely recommend staying at Swastik hostel and I will be back for that waterfall tour! 😜

The place to be! Good vibe, comfortable and social. Bishwo, the owner, puts all his heart into the place and makes you feel at home right away. Especially for long-term-travelers a place to calm down and enjoy the town and the surrounding with the lovely people there. Returned while traveling in Nepal, and will be back for sure!
