Ok, so this guy nailed the American burger, which is NOT easy to do overseas, and honestly in some ways it even seems better, which I know is a very bold and even an audacious statement, but it's not as heavy and greasy as many American burgers. My wife and I are super thankful we found this place, bc we had some stomach issues from local Nepali food, and it seems impossible to find anything that's actually like American food, but we found this place and have literally been eating here for almost every meal for days, haha. They even use homemade pickles which are amazing! Super friendly staff, very clean, so happy this place is here! It would be amazing though if they also had fries 🍟 😃

Hands down by far the best burgers in Nepal, and it gives even the best gourmet burgers at other countries a run for their money. This place is the best value for money when it comes to burgers, the double patty burgers are all Rs. 500 or less with 2 layers of cheese. The kitchen is really clean (it's an open kitchen so you can also watch your burgers while it's being made.) Because these are Smash burgers (ground meat is flattened on the grill while being sizzled) they are really tender and cook fast too. A burger here is ready in 5-10 minutes so I stop by often on busy days for a quick meal. Also there's plenty of parking (car parking too) right outside the restaurant, which is rare for a restaurant in Thamel.

After a few weeks of trekking my wife and I were craving hamburgers and this spot did not disappoint. The buffalo burgers were very delicious and filling and we felt the pricing was fair. Staff were very friendly and the ingredients all seemed super fresh. Would highly recommend if looking for a quality burger in the Thamel area.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, the Kitchen looks very clean and the quality of the burgers is 10/10. The owners are very welcoming and they help you with whatever you need, they have a very good level of English too. The menu is easy to pick and the place, although is not very big , it’s perfect to take food to go or eat a good quality fast food and continue discovering Kathmandu.

Smashing Burger is most definitely one of the top 5 burger places in Kathmandu. They've nailed the taste and execution of what a good burger is supposed to be. I think this is the only place that offers a triple patty option on a burger! Hopefully they'll keep up their quality.

OMG OMG!!! I just had the best burger I have ever had in Nepal and I live here 4 months every year so I've had my share of burgers!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. So juicy and cheesy!! Everything is made in house and fresh. Next time I'm getting a triple because I left wanting more. I could have eaten 2 of them they were so tasty!! Burger perfection! And omg the pickles! This is my 8th visit now and I walk 30 minutes to get here! Whenever I have a hard day I come here for a burger and it makes me smile and feel better. It's my comfort food. And I absolutely adore the owners and staff!!! You will not be disappointed!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 stars!!

In a previous review I posted, I said best burger in Kathmandu, but I have to be honest and say that Smashing Burger tops it. This burger was honestly incredible. I wish I had found this place earlier during my time here. Absolutely mouth watering. I have never had peanut butter on a burger before and I am a big PB lover and man this was good 😮‍💨

One of the best burger places in Kathmandu. Clean and hygienic, quick service, good hospitality and best of all is you get to see your burger being made live. Definitely worth a try.

10/10, coming from the US, this is way better than In&Out, Shake Shack, even beats any gourmet burger joint.. quality ingredients, delicious taste, impeccable preparation.. simple menu but complex and unique experience for your taste buds.. a gem of Nepal serving arguably the best burgers in the world.

The Burger is very good. It’s made from scratch, except the bun. The ingredients used are very fresh and delicious. There is no complaint in taste and quality. Varieties are available and the serving time is not an issue. You can have a stop on the go, grab your Burger and have it. The place is cozy and the ambience is average.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had so far. On top of the great burgers, the open-style kitchen makes their food preparation more trustworthy and adds to the overall satisfaction of customers.

Best burger in Kathmandu! The Nutty One burger had amazing flavours and the smashed patties were perfectly crispy and juicy. 10/10 would recommend especially after doing a trek😆
