Authentic Newari cuisine can be found here. Nice food with lots of taste at reasonable price. Would recommend to try here when you are at patan durbar square. Mostly non-veg items are available.

Well the best place to taste the newari dishes. The place is little congested but the taste amazing; you may never find the taste like this place anywhere else. Foods are prepared right in-front your eyes.

One of the best place where youcan find Authentic newari foods with all the mouth burning spices. I loved the ambience and the food. It was the first visit to to Honacha but of course not the last one. You may see small place from outside but there is enough place to chill with friends upstairs.

One of the oldest traditional newari restaurants in town. The BARA (lentil flour pancake 🥞 . Has different variant : plain Variant, one with minced meat or egg topping )is o e of the most popular item. You can even try it with Buffalo curry(raas) or potato curry (aaloo ko raas). Another popular dish is- Choila ( barbecue buff seasoned with ginger , garlic paste; along with special newari style mustard oil and other spices). If you can eat spicy hot fid this may suit you taste bud. Beside these you get some unique newari cuisine: SYAPUMICHA (Buffalo bone marrow wrap in intestine and fried), fried Buffalo intestine, dried meat, fried minced meat (Kachila fried).. They also serve traditional rice beer and spirit (Aaila)

When it comes to atmosphere, I will say it depends on what you are looking for...if you are looking at a lounge or fine dining experience, this is not the right place for you but if you want really good food, juicy meats, choilla, n sekuwa, bara, this place serves authentic newari food. A lady who sits near the entrance keeps on making delicious things right in front of you...so it is live, clean and hygienic but the sitting place is humble.
