We had a cabin for our family of five. Well appointment and warm. Had boot dryer. Only thing provided was some loo rolls, so you need your own soap etc. Restaurant was great food. Breakfast was served with all the buffet classics. Very friendly staff - some of the most friendly we’ve come across in Sweden. The walk to the lake is beautiful. We saw northern lights. Lots of activities can be done from here too. Good for families.

We were not organised enough to reserve a room at the Abisko Turiststation camp so it was fully booked during the Christmas festive period, Instead, we dined in the restaurant there as part of our Northern Lights tour. The building is very lively with a lot of guests and there appeared to be loads of communal facilities and cosy resting places for the residents to enjoy their evening apart from waiting for the Northern Lights to show up.

I really loved my stay at STF Abisko. The staff was super friendly and cool. You could have a good chat with them and they were always very warm, friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, right at the start of all the trails. The activities they offer are superb as well, though maybe a tad expensive. Sometimes you could see the Aurora even from the Hostel! The only thing I think could be improved is the quality of the bed and pillow - I thought they were rather uncomfortable. Also I would have appreciated a curtain hanging from each bed, just so you have a tad of privacy in the rather small room.

You can rent winter boots and overalls at this location, very helpful and fair pricing! They too have buffet lunch daily that has the main dish rotated. Affordable when in such cold places!

Such a great experience visiting Abisko! The staff at the Tourist station were helpful. Linnea if you’re reading this, thank you for the recommendation of the day hike! It was truly worth it. Plenty of car parking available and I can’t wait to get up to the Aurora sky station tonight!

Great facilities, toilets and showers were clean and well maintained the restaurant was lovely but the menu was very limited. The staff at the wildlife information centre were very informative. However the camping ground was overrun with mice. All of our food was sealed in airtight bags and in the inner tent but we still woke up to mouse droppings in the porch area of the tent and they had chewed hole in my rucksack

Clean, economic, great location for aurora & hiking. The rivers n canyons hikes are easy & awesome. Suitable for any age. 30 minutes return, 1 hour to 2 hours. Easy hikes with extremely beautiful sceneries. Staff very helpful. Place very clean. Kitchen is well equipped & cleaned every day. Looking forward to be back.
