My husband and I showed up at this theater not knowing what to expect; he told me that I was not going to be able to handle this ride because I was afraid of heights. We were going to get out of line and the attendants there let me know that they will put me at the bottom row of the ride so I can enjoy the ride and not be scared. They were so right I'm so glad that they helped me with that and made me feel reassured and comfortable and because of that I was able to enjoy the ride. All in all I loved it and I will come back to ride it again. I had a great time and the experience was unbelievable.

The best ride currently at Epcot, never hesitates to be an enjoyable experience. Only things I'd love to see updated is the screen and maybe some of the randomization that we see with rides like Star Tours.

Soarin' over California was garbage! The rough scene changes it didn't fit right. Two of the scenes were the same. The only good thing was the smell of the oranges from the California orange groves. I can't wait for them to put it back to Soarin' Around the World.

Except for the wait - line is longer than the ride (30 minute wait for about a 3 minute ride) - this is an excellent ride to see the world and cool off. If you have a fear of heights, like our niece, you won't agree. The ride simulates a glider, floating high above landmarks. I love to lean forward, to try and catch the simulated breeze, and to forget it's make believe. That would terrify my niece! The staff here is friendly and professional. They wear masks, even though guests are exempt if guests have been vaccinated. We have been vaccinated since February and March. Hope all those around us who are not masked can say the same thing. The six foot rule is no longer enforced. But some plexiglass barriers remain. This is a safer place than most other public places!

Had to change my review once it was changed to soarin over California instead of over the world. I enjoyed the world sites, California is great, but not great enough to ruin this ride. The scenes are out of focus and out of sync.

Soaring’ is our fave Disney ride- it is more than a ride- it is an EXPERIENCE! Located in “the land” Pavillion on the lower level, surrounded by waiting area, bathrooms, and restaurants. Tip: you can leave your sandals off before take off. Storage compartment under each seat. This ride is not scary. It feels like you’re flying but it’s not intense. It is just purely enjoyable.

We love the experience, the ride itself is quite unique! It simulates the sky gliding and it's kind of real too! We love it and even play it twice. It allows you to see the world within a short time, which is good for me who likes to travel. It's such a good experience, but we need to do a ride swap since we have three young kids, only two of them can play. But the staff are quite helpful, just we find the whole process a bit confusing! For ride swap, only one child is allowed.....well better than nothing!

A really fun experience at Epcot. The line usually isn’t too long, perhaps an hour at most. The wait is also air conditioned, which is very nice in the summer. The cinematography utilized in this ride is beautiful and definitely worth riding for!

Who is my favorite rides. It's just a really nice relaxing fun ride. People with fear of heights could be bothered by the simulated height of a hang glider but really it's not bad.

My favorite ride in Epcot! If you can, try to sit in B1 so there are no feet dangling above you, but either way it's still a great "ride" through the beautiful sites of California from a hang-glider/ drone point of view. From San Francisco to San Diego and many points in between. The ride last just under 5 minutes.

I'm TERRIFIED of heights. I was extremely scared while waiting in (the boring) line. So afraid that there would be dips and dives. I strapped in and just about called the attendant to get me out but my husband convinced me to stay. I LOVE it!!!!! There's no dips or dives. I HATE the seats raising into the air and clenched my husband's hand with my eyes closed. But, it's such a great experience. I really, really enjoyed it. The wind blowing on you helps to keep calm. It feels like they're setting it up to take a dive but you never do. It's one if the VERY few things I can do at any of the parks. I can't do most 4d rides because the simulated dips and dives are too much for me. I know, I'm a complete baby. But, I love this experience. Totally worth it.

Same as Disneyland. Living the land ride is very informative. Lots of flowers and plants I didn't know one can consume

Always loved this ride. The movements. The feeling of flight. The scents and the visuals from around the world are stunning. However try to get yourself in the "b" section as a and c can show slightly distorted video based on the curve of the screen. Front row gets the best flight and no dangling feet!

Soarin' is a seated suspension ride where you're lifted up in your seat to sit in front of a giant screen that wraps around you. You're taken around the world, to places like The Great Pyramids of Giza, Kilamanjaro and the Eiffel Tower! The ride uses similar technology in the Avatar: Flight of Passage, but you're seated instead of sat in a bike style seat. If you're scared of heights, don't panic, just tell the Cast Members that you're a bit anxious, and they'll sit you on the back row, meaning you'll be closer to the ground than everyone else on the ride. Nothing to worry about! Keep your eyes peeled for the hidden Mickey in the hot air balloons! 🐭

We loved this one so much we did it twice. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the front or back top or bottom, all views are great!! Shout-out to the dude walking in The Great Wall of China. 👀

You simply have to experience Soarin’. Just a wonderful experience from start to end. Good for kids, it’s a wonderful ride with thrills and adventure without being hurtled around at lightning speed but still highly exhilarating. You’ll never forget your first time on Soarin’.

We rode this back in 2009 or so in California, when it was still themed for the state, and I must say I like the updates! The ride still sees you flying above beautiful scenery with lots of fun interactions like scents and wind, but now is a bit more interesting with a greater diversity of locations. Truly a must ride as long as you are not bothered by heights (mostly simulated heights, but it can still trigger anxiety).

Love this new ride, great addition to the Epcot experience. Wish it was a bit longer as none of my family wanted to leave. Please make more rides like this! Recommend this ride to everyone.

Even for someone afraid of heights it's a smooth pleasurable experience. I love the destinations and the scents for each place.

Soarin’ Around the World is an attraction located in EPCOT. In this ride, you get to fly in a simulator with many other people. The queue can get long on busy days, so plan accordingly. However, wait times can get low on other days. The experience itself is a one of a kind. It’s a smooth ride, but people with fear of flights shouldn’t ride. The soundtrack is amazing in this ride, and all the scenes shown throughout has effective transitions and visuals. Overall, an attraction you can’t miss!

This ride gives you the feeling of flight as you're hoisted up in your seats above a giant screen. Travel the world with sights and smells. It's a stationary ride that's contained in one room. It does a decent job giving the illusion of paragliding over mountains and other landscapes. It's a neat ride and worth a look. However, after a few rides, you may get bored with it fast. Reccomended for families!

I miss the orange groves of CA but the ride is still impressive as can be. Highly recommend this ride....you really feel like you're up there....sweaty palms possible 😂

I love this ride I just need to remember to cover my nose after the pyramids of Egypt. The jasmine scent is way too strong for my sinus sensitivity.

My most favorite ride in ALL OF DISNEY!!! If you don't do anything else at Epcot, please PLEASE take this ride. It's pretty short, but oh, so amazing. I went on twice! If you can, try to get the top row so you get to enjoy the sites without watching other people's dangling feet, lol.

The restaurant spins. Service is great. The characters are hilarious; they were playing with us and making us laugh! The food is good, and desert is delicious.

This is one of the most popular rides at Epcot. It is located in thrower level of The Land Pavillion. There is an app that can be downloaded and played while you wait inline. The ride consists of three ride swings that are lifted in front of a round screen. These will tilt and roll to match the video projected. There is a blower to simulate wind and smells. The ride is very immersive and has a mood setting sound track. It is well worth the wait fir the experience this ride provides.

Love the new film!!! Be sure to get a lightening lane for this one. We had a 910 am time. Then were immediately able to ride again in standby with only a 10 min wait.

An awesome ride, just not long enough! I felt it was the tip of the iceberg. So many more places to go and could've spent much more time in each place. But it was still the best place to stop and see.

Very neat ride. I don't reiterate what everyone else has mentioned here. Most people should do well with this ride, I guess it depends on if you're a fan of heights or not and how bad your body handles the sensations of something like this. You are essentially captive floating in a seated position above a giant ball shaped blue-screen. The visuals are stunning. I imagine these types of visualizations are how TV makers feel or intend for us to feel in this modern day and age.

Soarin' Around the World began at Disneyland as Soarin' over California and then changed to a more global flight pattern. It's a great attraction that combines a true sense of flight and smell for a unique experience. The best view is from the center as that avoids some screen distortion that can occur for those seated on the outer edges.
