I just love Dr. Miltenberger, Cindy and their staff are the best… Have been seeing Dr. Miltenberger for many years, he takes the time to listen to you -he’s very knowledgeable about the conditions you’re going through and he bends over backwards to help you get better and live your best life … I highly recommend dr. Miltenberger

This office is wonderful. The staff and doctor are so helpful and kind. Even on a busy day, they got me in quickly. They are extremely organized and make you feel very comfortable. So happy I found them! HIGHLY recommend :)

I've been coming to vanguard for a month and a half and i have already lost almost 25 lbs. They staff is awesome!! Lucy is amazing she motivates you and give you great tips to help you stay on track!!! I highly recommend coming here. I'm so happy with my progress so far!

The staff is excellent. It’s the first place I have been to where everyone has a good attitude. Lucy makes you feel comfortable and excited about losing weight. I wanted to lose 30 lb and met my goal in two months. Now I have met my goal I feel like I will miss The whole team.

I can’t share enough good things about Dr. Miltenburger and his office staff. In my 45 years, I have never had such a positive experience with any of my healthcare providers... It actually kinda worries me to think of my future health and wellness if something happened that would prevent me from being able to depend on them. They treat everyone as they would want to be treated no matter what... I’ve been to Doctors where I’ve felt judged by my circumstances and I promise you will never be judged or made to feel different than the patient next to you or disrespected in any way! A little background for ya... I was a pretty severe diabetic! My A1C was 11.2 and Ms Lucy encouraged me to try the ketogenic lifestyle, so I figured I would give it a shot... I’m not gonna say it’s easy because it really isn’t easy at all! But my health was spiraling out of control, I was beyond miserable, and I had to do something about it and do it fast, and do it right! By the way, I still have a hard time resisting sugar and carbs, it’s truly an addiction for me, just like some people experience addiction to drugs and alcohol! I really feel like Ms. Lucy and everyone in the office, saved my life! If it wasn’t for her, I would still be a miserable diabetic, I would still be taking metformin, I would still weigh 170 pounds, which is quite obese for a girl who is only 5 foot tall...But instead, with Ms. Lucy’s help, I have lost 20 pounds and my most recent A1C results were 6.2!! So I have officially reversed diabetes with the ketogenic lifestyle and I feel better now than I did when I was a teenager!! My first and only grand baby just turned one year old and I’m looking forward to our future because I’m no longer struggling just to even get out of bed every day! I am so very thankful, grateful and blessed

Since Dr. Miltenberger took over this office has vastly improved. All the reviews that are years old are about the old doctor who passed away over a year ago. Dr. Miltenberger treats you like any other person that needs treatment for a medical issue. He doesn't care about what you've done in the past but he does insist you make the changes you need to make to live a healthy life. They are a general practice, but also treat addiction, Marijuana cards, and a weight loss program. He started out as a doctor I went to for addiction treatment, but quickly became my primary physician. Its refreshing to have a doctor that cares about me and listens to me. He isn't another Dr. wanting to solve my problems with pain medication. I respect him for what he does and his no nonsense demeanor. The office staff is amazing. They jump through hoops all day for many patients. Somehow they have found a way to do it with a smile on their faces. Things do get busy in this office, so being on time is really important. Its also a small office and at times things move slow and it can be crowded in the waiting room. Its best if you don't bring many people with you, seating is limited. Good news is they are looking for a new office and that should correct most these issues. Overall, I'm very grateful this office exists. I was really worried after Dr. Demothenes passed away. I thought the office was going to close and I can't afford going anywhere else. These people, from Lucy to Shawna, Cindy, all the nurses, and Dr. Miltenberger have not only made me feel welcome, they helped me turn my life around. They may have even saved my life.

The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. The Doctor is on time and very professional. He truly cares about his patients explaining in detail any questions or concerns you may have... I would highly recommend Vanguard Medical Care Center to anyone looking for a doctor!

Dr. Miltenberger and his entire office have been awesome to me. They know their business and take care of you with respect and dignity. He also helped me get registered through the state for my much needed medical marijuana card and cannabis treament. I am feeling so much better and I am in a lot less pain now. Thanks Dr M. and staff!

I had been seeing another Doctor in the area which was shut down! I needed to find a new Doctor that would be reliable, so I would not have any concerns about my health! As soon as I walked into Vangaurd I was blown away at how much different of an experience it was going to be! It was much cleaner, well equipped and up to date with good working medical devices. I was even more satisfied with all the loving assistance I received from the moment I walked in, until the minute I walked out with my prescription. EVERY individual that I dealt with had such a nice warm and loving attitude and cared about what I was going through! That coupled with the stability of the Doctor and nurses, I am so very pleased and look forward to a continued relationship with Dr. Miltenburger and his entire staff. Not to mention the holiday decorations and wonderful holiday music was quite relaxing and refreshing, If you need assistance with your medical , Vangaurd is the way to go! Hands down the best Doctors office around. I’ve been going to Dr.Miltenberger for 4 1/2 years and I love them. Cindy is absolutely amazing and John always takes care of my mother and I which I’m forever grateful.. if your looking to change your life for the better and want to feel comfortable doing it vanguard is perfect for u..

I think this might be the last good Dr in Lakeland,,,He truly cares for his patience,I have never been closer with my Dr before,he's very understanding and has a huge heart,and his employees are the same way, I love you guys, wish there were more out there like y'all :)
