If you're a patient and need to book an appointment, you'll probably need to go in to see reception. They only claim to answer the phones half the hours of the week and voicemails are not returned. Even if you call during the hours when they claim to answer the phones, they probably won't actually answer. EDIT: just picked up our records so we could leave since the Dr. left them (he's no longer licensed). They shredded the records we brought from the previous doctor (who retired) and accidentally gave us records belonging to another patient.

I thought I was probably the only one dealing with these problem but it seems that this is a problem that almost everyone has with this horrible clinic. 1. They have different calling hours and different office hours. On their voicemail they give you two sets of calling hours that you have to match up with the office hours . 2. Lets say you manage to figure out when to call them it doesn't matter since they NEVER pick up. I have called 100s of times and they never pick up. Don't believe me? Go ahead and try getting a hold of them. 3. I finally get an appointment after 6 months of waiting and the receptionist had only written me in for a 20 minute appointment. 4. Dr Gupta was not even avaliable so I was given a different doctor. There was limited time and I pretty much self diagnosed myself as being lactose intolerant. The doctor told me they will give me a referral to an allergist and I should await for that appointment. 5. This appointment was in JULY 2016 And it is now May 2016 and I still have not heard about anything. I have no been contacted by any doctor for any follow-up. I have called and left various voicemails with no return. 6. I now have to go into them myself and show them this review and let them know I am reporting them and their clinic. Hopefully I find a new family doctor soon. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. They cannot take care of their current patients and want new ones. Wow

According to their website - "Mango Tree Family Health aims to provide excellent family medicine care by an experienced and caring team. We aim to provide care that is centered around you." I have yet to experience this. Please do not use this doctor. The doctor you may register with might not work in the same office therefore you never actually see them. Instead you are a assigned a nurse. She is very nice, if you get to see her. However, If they are unavailable then your appointment is cancelled, sometimes with only a 1 days notice. Our appointments are never on time, follow through with concerns do not happen. Also, good luck trying to get them to answer the phone. They do listen/return their messages, even though it says they don't. I have tried and tried to give them chances to turn their customer service around but it hasn't happened yet. ONE star is for the free parking, at least it has that going for it at this location.

When I first registered with this clinic, the NP at the time (Patricia) was absolutely fantastic - I always felt heard, understood and supported. After she left and Michelle Godin came on, the experience was horrible. She was dismissive, judgemental and rude. She completely dismissed me while I was going into a mental health crisis stating something to the effect of "just because you're stressed out..." I complained to the head office and was paired with a different nurse. Unfortunately she left the practice and I was under Michelle's care again. Again I complained, asking for a different provider as I was not comfortable discussing my mental health with after her being so dismissive. The office admin told her I was complaining and she remarked that I could either speak to her about my mental health or find a new practice. So that's exactly what I did. If you're looking to be treated promptly and respectfully, avoid this place!

This place is horrid. Since Patricia left the whole place went down hill. The receptionist is extremely rude and impatient, and who knows when you’ll get to see the NP as bookings are so scattered and availability is all over the place. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Edit to also mention the fact that the new NP also has a tendency of being rude, and very dismissive of your issues. Every time you talk to her you feel rushed or like your problems aren’t important.

In the 4 years since the Government provided me with this Dr.’s office, I have never had a reasonably good doctor. As is seemingly usual in Ontario’s medical industry today, they want you in and out asap. Average waiting time for an appointment is 3 weeks; no rush is possible. If you need someone quickly, they suggest a walk-in, or the hospital, for it’s average 10 hour wait for non-life threatening illnesses. This is all as well. When they’ve had a doctor that would see me. The first 2 years, it was a nurse only. The last 2 years has been a doctor that doesn’t do any actual physical checkups himself. As well. i can’t go to a walkin myself as that is considered double doctoring. Don’t come to this place. Find a good doctor somewhere that actually properly cares.

There was a brief period where they were doing better, but it looks like they're back to not answering the phone and denying receipt of faxes again. They make every opportunity to prevent you from receiving care from other health providers. You will never see an actual doctor here -- just nurse practitioners. This leads to further difficulties when trying to deal with other healthcare partners, which you will be doing frequently, as you will often find yourself making phone calls to do the work of the Mango Tree Family Health Team admin staff for them. Medical staff seem to spend more time out of the office than in it. At times I've had to drive in and attend in person just to get prescriptions renewed, as it's nearly impossible to get anything done by phone or within a reasonable timeframe.

Did not get the support I personally needed with a newborn. Limited hours. The days the nurses were scheduled in the office they weren't there. Called to ask about giving my baby Tylenol. Because it says under 3 months consult with your doctor. The receptionist told me I could get a phone appointment in 2 weeks or I should go to the ER. My baby had a fever from his first set of shots which they gave me. Going to the ER with my newborn baby during COVID about how much Tylenol to give is a bit ridiculous.

TAKING NEW PATIENTS the sign says at their Guelph Office: After reading all the comments here we were still willing to give this clinic a try and see if we could get a Family Doctor for both my husband and I. We should have listened to the comments! I have never in all my life had such poor care and rude treatment from anyone, anywhere that was supposed to be professional! They rarely answer their phone - and if they do they put you on hold for 5+ minutes and then hang up. When you call back they let it go to voice mail where you can't leave a message.

Takes a week of calling to get someone to talk. If you need a medical care for any reason to no go here. Probably easier to get a hold of our PM.

My doctor "retired" (he let his license expire) just recently without notice can't fill my medications. Last time was Dr jubaja now htun. Don't go here even if your desperate. Receptionist didn't care told me to goto urgent care (you can't for some medications) asked for a refil of a prescription one time took 2 weeks I had to go without my prescription and it messed up my life and they didn't care. Worst experience with a office in my life

I used to live in Guelph and there office in neer Aberfole . The Nurse that takes care of me , has saved my life more than once!! They are a fantastic team. So to all that has had a bad experience, so sorry for the way you feel. Yes they are booking up to a few weeks ahead, it is like that at every doctors offices So please be patient, Patricia is extremely busy with the Doctors leaving her there patient's. She is very thoughtful and carring as well.

Had test results not disclosed only to find out 6 months later while there for a completely different matter that I should have been informed of my prior results as they were quite urgent. I was told by a CRISIS center that I needed to get forms for specific testing at the hospital for my son and to contact our Dr. Brought the forms to be filled out and was then advised he needed to be seen by their office first before they would sign the forms. I was told to set an appointment ASAP with a wait time of a week. When I tried to book the appointment in office (can't call as no one picks up), I was told the health professional my Son was required to see was on MAT leave and I would get a call when an appointment was available. This was over 2 weeks ago. Every time I call to follow up I get no response or they are closed. Now I need to take my son to emerg as his situation has gone from at risk to urgent. The main reason my son is suffering in the first place is he was supported by a Dr. at the office to stop taking prescribed medicine he had been taking for 9 years. And now we are left with the repercussions of trusting medical opinion on our own with no assistance. Unfortunately with health care the way it is we have have no choice - We have to accept what we get. 20% health care is still better than none. The staff and Dr's are nice and pleasant but unfortunately niceties and good intentions do not keep people in good general health and out of the hospital. The potential is there they need to work on organization and follow up!

Will not answer phones, when I get through mostly my requests are ignored or I am put on hold and eventually hung up on. Been dependant on third party medical apps for advice, and when brought to family doctor this information is ignored. Also states in Guelph, but building is beside Ren’s Pet Depot past the Aberfoyle Town sign.

Booking an appointment is very challenging. Limited window and have to try few times to get hold of them. My doctor here who I had consulted had left the practice.

When they were in kitchner patricia was the best and now they bring a beast with her beast receptionist cant wait to change family doctor shes is extremely unexperienced and rude

I transferred to this location for many years now. I know the reviews are not very positive. I have never had any issues within Mango Tree Kitchener, they have always been there for me, and my family, thank you for all your efforts to the NP'S and Charlene

They never answer the phone. I called 52 times before giving up. Do not recommend at all.
