Stopped off here for lunch on the way to the Hunter and was pleasantly surprised by the food and drinks. The Valley IPA was delightful with a vibrant fruity note. The Chicken Schnitzel/Parmigiana was plump and the chips perfectly cooked. We also ordered the fish and chips that was well battered and included a fresh side salad.

Read the negative reviews before booking a table. I had the 2 vegan options and my partner had meat, we were both extremely impressed by the meals, the size and quality. The cocktails werw incredible, strawberries and mint one was the best I've ever had and the vegan options were awesome. I would definitely make this a regular place if it had more vegan options, like Newcastle has. Between to food, drinks and the price, definitely a good place to go. Will be back, but please get more vegan options.

I had dinner on Sat 18/6 with my young disability client. Booking online was extremely easy and the service was fabulous. Our meals arrived very quickly (which was important for my client) and were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend for a great night out.

I really like the atmosphere and decor of this place. We sat on a table on the lawn in the sun and it was great. The beer selection was great too. When we arrived about 130pm, we were told there was no space for walk-ins at the restaurant, luckily I had made a booking that morning. The place didn’t even seem that full though. The staff were also up front and said it would be an hour wait for food, which was a bit annoying. Once the food came it was delicious, however my schnitzel could have been bigger for the price. I hope this pub can get some more staff in the kitchen so the meals can come out faster because that is the only missing link I can see at this stage. I hope it improves because I would come here every weekend. Would also like to see some live music or acoustic musicians maybe on weekends to add to the chill atmosphere.

Dropped in whilst away for the weekend and absolutely loved it! I had the falafel salad and garlic bread recommended from the friendly bartender. Huge outdoor area and dog friendly which is a win win, we’ll be back with the pooch!

Went with a group of friends. It was okay. Two of us are celiacs and had the gluten free cheeseburger. We both described it as okay. Not overly tasty but okay. The rest of our group described the burgers the same way but the chips were good. Band on tonight was not bad and the drinks were about what you would expect. Parking and amenities are good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This place was so good. I was expecting it to taste like standard pub food, but I was blown away. The beer that they brew was really nice and the food quality was amazing. I definitely recommend a stop here on the way through.

We were there on Saturday. Table service and staff were very friendly, beer is always good! However the food was below average. There isn't much choice on the menu and the meals are small. Ordered the chicken snitzel for $24 and it was TINY. I thought it was a kids meal. Really disappointing. McDonald's would have been a better option food wise.

we love the ability to get away to the Wine country. Bar staff were excellent, food was great, unfortunately food area staff were lacking. After our mains we had to wait more than 30 minutes to catch somene for a dessert menu. They then informed us we had to go back to join a line to order. There were at least 20 people in the line so we gave dessert a miss. I think if you are seated and have enjoyed a meal, you should be entitled to have someone take and bring a dessert order.

I was the crying friend on the wine tour, can’t emphasise enough that the cob loaf is just garlic bread. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t a cob loaf. The mighty L Corn ribs were plain too

Good value daily lunch specials for $15 plus $5 for a wine or brewski. Good vibes with tables inside or outside on the patio. Adjacent to Foghorn Brewery with lots of beer options.

The accomodation was good same with site facilities , but when we went to the mighty for dinner it was very disappointing as we ordered steaks well done, the outside was burnt and the inside was still very red.

We reserved 2 tables in advance for our group of 28 people for a work function and yet the staff seemed surprised about our arrival….they did not handle the pressure of 28 people. Not enough staff on. Rude attitude. Made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by being there. Very poorly organised and poor customer service.

Was on a wine tour with my mates and we stopped in to get lunch. Everyone was starving on the bus you could hear the growling of the stomachs for miles. We looked up the menu and saw cobloaf and everyone jumped up in excitement. Come to find out when it’s brought to the table it’s garlic bread…one of my friends started crying and i had to console her. It was a hard day, the pain didn’t fade. Snitty was alright but

Partner booked room with pool tables for today. Turn up and apparently pool tables were removed. Would have been polite to advise us so alternate arrangements could be made

The staff were smashed last night. They only had two people running the bars (who did an EXCELLENT job) and the kitchen pumped out food like it was going out of stock. My steak was cooked perfectly.

Good place for a drink to escape the wine tours. Friendly staff, nice location, great beers (the Young Americans was one of the best WCIPAs I've had). Recommended.

Sorry guys but the food is absolutey mediocre at best. I had the beef burger with the 3mm thick patty and the weird taste. If I were you I would ditch your frozen food supplier and try getting someone to throw together some simple well done fresh food.

Very disappointed. Tables were dirty, hardly any staff around. Beers unavailable due to fault in the gas line. No alternative drinks available other than a very limited wine list or spirits. Hardly anything on the food menu, no specials and all round very poor. Bring back The Mighty, the change in owners/management has ruined what we’ve known to be a great venue. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Slightly disappointing, my partner and I came to Hunter region for a mini vacation and seeing this brew house on the way from the road it looks so beautiful being outdoors and indoors. The place was short staffed we waited in line for about 30mins to order, the satay chicken is a big NO looked like boiled chicken with some peanut sauce and the dish was all full of water. We ended up throwing this. The variety of drinks is okay but a little overpriced for the condition of this brew house. We had ordered a parmi schnitty which at least was really good and cooked golden as well as the chips that it came with, quantity was good too. I wouldn’t come here again though.

Eat in this grubby place, who ever cooked our food, does not like cooking. I brought it to the attention I think was the manager, he served us, four adults and two kids, was on the defensive straight away when I said what I felt. Paid for the rubbish and left. Constructive criticism is fair play, avoid if possible.

Very Tastless deep-fried corn fritters with a few salad leaves poor value. Small meal. Lamb ribs fatty & a small meal for the price, few Salad leaves. The children nuggets & chips for the grandie were the best meal. Won't be ever back, sorry.

Been here twice pick from the menu . Tried the lamb ribs & pulled pork from smoker section. Extremely disappointing. Fatty , dry , and mac cheese was terrible . Way over priced for what we got pork was tough and sliced. No pictures taken. But the desserts were fabulous and the staff were friendly . We have had nice meals here before see pictures.

3 bars, only one open and a 20 minute wait for a drink while other bar staff walked around moving menus, not even collecting glasses. Seemed to remember it was a lot better place before the name change

Went in for family dinner. Peri chicken burger - stale bun, bare minimum sauce, chicken over fried with batter falling off, lettuce overload. Tabbouleh salad - the base of the salad should be parsely along with onion tomato and pomegranate. They served rocket and lettuce with raisins and walnuts!!! Falafel - burnt with stale sauce. Only saving grace were the under seasoned fries. Overpriced and horrible !!!

I unfortunately was disappointed by the service and the meal. We ordered a chicken chicken snitzel made into a Parma. My partner forgot to ask for my mushroom sauce (although he was also not asked by the waiter, even though the menu says "choice out of pepper or mushroom sauce"). We asked a woman waiter for a pot of mushroom sauce, and a lady rudely told us to go back to the bar, pay for it because we forgot. We ordered and had to pay $2.50 for literally a table spoon of mushroom sauce. On top of that chicken parmigiana was nothing special, dry chicken, and rude service don't make for a good experience. Personally wouldn't recommend.

We came here for breakfast and dinner a couple of times and loved every meal. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food was EXCELLENT! Highly recommended for families if you were silly enough to bring the kids along on your wine tasting weekend like us!

We have been going to the Restaurant for the last 3 years as we love the ginger and chilli beer from the brewery so we look forward to incorporating the two. Unfortunately the menu has changed and we found the food really average, we can get this food at any local pub. Please bring back the slow cooked pork.

What a magnificent Hotel. So much room and so much choice for dinner. Live music was just fantastic and the place had a great feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Joel the Manager looked after us and I can't thank him enough. Such a great experience. Thankyou. We'll be ba back..

Beautiful Beer and Food. Only gave a group of 15 adults and 17 kids an hour to eat and drink. Restaurant responded brilliantly with no drop in the quality of the food. Staff so friendly and helpful.

Had lunch here recently, all I can say is great food and great value! The Chef and his staff create tasty and interesting dishes. In the Hunter? visit The Mighty Hunter you won't be disappointed!

(only pub review) We loved the atmosphere of the pub and it was a very nice facility. But we all felt a bit let down by the food. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing was particularly outstanding either. Slightly above average pub food, so you could definitely do worse!

We were there Thursday night for dinner. Love that the outdoor area is dog friendly! Staff were really pleasant and our meals (steak and chicken snitzel) were tasty and very generous. I really like the fact they serve local beers, wines and spirits - the Espresso Martini (a local mix) is one of the best I've tasted.

👍👍 I popped in whilst just going for a walk. I didn’t go to the cafe this time but have been in the past & breaky was good. The nursary is lovely.
