Would give this 4 1/2 stars if I could. We visited the Shipwreck Bar 2 times for meals and hanging at the beach while staying at the Park Hyatt (just a short drive away!) The service was great, food was tasty, local fare and there was a variety of drinks - both with and without alcohol. The drinks were a delicious welcome cool during the hot days. The beach chairs and palm thatch covers were convenient and easy to obtain each day we went there. Bathrooms were relatively clean. And the beach was great for snorkeling on a nearby reef and rocks. Great place and will be back.

This Caribbean side of the island is pretty (clear/can see to the bottom) and heard the snorkling is good too and close to the beach. Didn't go on the other side of the reef. But did swim out to the floating platform and sit for a while where the water is super clear. The vibe on this beach and at the restaurant is both relaxing and friendly. Chairs and covering are free. Drinks are reasonable and the food is good. Had the Mahi tacos, fresh salad w/ in house ranch dressing that was delicious and plantains. Sister enjoyed the conch fritters and she's all about conch. Very friendly behind the bar. Can definitely hang for a while relaxing.

Absolutely love this spot. Fun outdoor bar, with a live band on Sundays. Popular with locals and tourists. Delicious food, strong yummy drinks, reasonable prices, amazing views, fun swimming, and be wonderful staff. Plus you get to see wild vervets and mongooses. An absolute must do!

Marin was an excellent waiter, and served us the best apps and drinks. We discovered this place on our last day sadly, and wish we spent many more there! Highly recommend!

What a gem. Beautiful scenery for lunch with amazing sea breeze. The food was delicious. We had a fresh fish sandwich with chips, which were fresh cut fries, and the conch fritter meal was served with salad, plantain, rice and peas. Both were exceptional, abd their ranch was tasty too. For drinks we had the pirates rum punch and bushwacker frozen cocktail, the bushwacker is creamy coffee baileys. They have snorkel equipment for hire, as well as free WiFi and pontoon to swim out to. Overall great 👍🏼

This is a fabulous beach bar on Friars bay was recommended to us to try on a Sunday afternoon for the live music. We were a family group of 12 and arrived around 2.30pm and had time to swim/ snorkel and try the lovely food. The beach was very short and a few sunbeds. There’s a place to shower off the sand. Service was quick and we all tried different foods off the menu all good. The rum cocktails are strong! By the time the sun went down we were partying with tourists and locals. Had a fantastic time here. Would recommend it.

Happy hour! Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 5-6pm. Drinks as low as 5 EC. If you miss the happy hour you can get a cocktail as low as 10 EC. I like their chicken wings too 8 pieces (4 whole wings) for 20 EC and the sunset. The vibes is nice.

Little rustic but very believable shipwreck building, nothing fancy, right on the beach with grest staff and cold beer. The mahi mahi was grilled to perfection and good flavor. Rice & beans and fried plantin were delicious. Next time I'll bring swim suits as there is a crude outdoor changing area that fits the bill. Love the vibes.

This place is so fun that we visited it twice during our 4-day stay on St Kitts island. HH (BOGO) Friday and Saturday; a live band playing on Sunday afternoon. Friendly services! Beautiful beach to swim or snorkel, just be careful of the sea urchins. A great spot for sunset.

The 12 of us descended on the Shipwreck bar Sunday afternoon as we were told that on Sunday evenings they have live music so we got there early to save our spaces. We had some food and lots of drinks. The band were excellent no doubt helped by my lot dancing and partying like they do while others just stared agape. Most did eventually join in and it became a rocking night all round. Some points to note. The band set up on the wooden flooring under the canopy at the far end from the bar so don’t sit there. Either sit at the tables beyond the covered area near the sun beds or nearer the bar. If you get a taxi there make sure you book the return and agree the price. Some taxi touts do go there but want to charge stupid money as they know you will be stranded with a long walk back. About 100 yards north of the Shipwreck, along the beach, is the Discovery Bar. Our absolute favourite place so maybe eat there and party at the Shipwreck.

This is a must attend on a Sunday evening for dinner, music and dance. Go early (before sundown) to get a table. The tuna and red snapper meals are excellent, and it's a great place to watch the sunset while listening to live music!

The ambiance is fantastic, the beach and the view. They have little chairs for the beach and a small booth with things to buy... The prices are excellent, and the food is even better. If you are in St Kitts, this is a must! They have pork, chicken, and fish, we tried the three, and all were excellent and with the Caribbean flavors

Nice spot, the service at the bar itself is pretty fast while service if you’re sitting at a table for food isn’t as much. The food is good, I particularly like the jerk chicken. It’s a nice spot to chill out and relax with beach chairs down from the drinking/eating area.

Great little beach and bar. Not a walk in type of beach. Has great snorkeling and you can rent there for $10 a set. Better fish than the tourist trap snorkelling trip to shitten bay. No cost for umbrellas or seats like Reggae beach. Great food and beer and drinks are Island price not tourist price. Taxis are easy to get. I totally recommend a day at the beach!

The only reason this place has a lower score on Google maps- in another of the reviews someone had too much cheese in their taco I have absolutely no hesitation in giving Shipwreck beach bar five stars, I love the monkeys, the beach is beautiful and there is no issue getting sun loungers And that’s before I’ve even started talking about the amazing cocktails, fantastic food and friendly service Highly recommended

Best place on the island for open water swimming. The bar and restaurant offer a variety of delicious fresh foods and drinks for an affordable price. Fish of the day meal was delicious. The people at the table across from us had nachos that looked delicious. Friendly and helpful staff!

Perfect location, ocean breeze and views, casual vibes, mongoose, monkeys cruising by on the walk in. Had the Pain Killer, dark rum mixed drink. Delish. Jerk pork tacos, plantains, friends had fish. Good side salads, fresh. Loved it all.

Shipwreck Beach Bar is an unassuming gem in Saint Kitts — go here for the picturesque views, fresh fish with reasonable prices, and family of local cats. When I got there, the sunset was breathtaking. Nicy took amazing care of me. I ordered a pina colada, conch frites, mahi mahi with rice and plantains. Open til sunset. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Shipwreck Beach was very crowded. The beach was small. Not many people in the water. The Shipwreck Beach Bar was very busy and it was taking 15-20 minutes to be served. While we waited, we saw monkeys and mongoose in the woods.

Chill atmosphere with more expats than locals, but very welcoming. Excellent prices, delicious cocktails, and great music set the scene. Enjoy a serene beach where you can sip a cocktail and feel like you've been "shipwrecked." This place is a gem! Pro tip: If you’re staying on the island, visit when there are no ships in port. It can get very busy!

Strangers suggested this beach for snorkeling, it did not disappoint, there is a corral reef here and you can rent snorkeling equipment from the restaurant and bar , beautiful beach , quiet, maybe a 10 min drive from the cruise port , taxi was $7 a person one way , cold beer , perfect spot if you want to get away from 100s of people

This place is a gem. Very good service, food, and unbeatable setting on a beautiful beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar and patio is very rustic but that adds to the atmosphere… like a traditional tiki bar on the beach. Good wifi. The only thing to note is getting there… it’s $7pp each way by taxi if you have 4 or more or $28 for the car if you’re less than 4. But there seems to be taxis there to take you back to town regularly. Just try to find people to share a ride.

Awesome beach bar with a great atmosphere and friendly staff, we walked over from Timothy Beach, easily doable once you get over the initial climb, stopping to grab the views from Timothy Hill, snorkelling at Carambola beach then a short walk along the beach front to grab sun beds at Shipwreck, we had a lunch break when the rain came in, tacos, salad and pina coladas were great, we even got to see the monkeys who came out to grab the mangos from the staff, grabbed a taxi back for 16usd

The day after our all-out wedding that went from 3:30 pm to 3:30 am (and then until sunrise back at the hotel), our 150 guests joined us at Shipwreck Bar for a Beach Recovery Day. It was the perfect location for our guests to relax, socialize, and explore the day after our wedding. They provided us space so we could have (1) our own DJ, (2) massage therapy tables for our guests to recouperate, and (3) IV hydration therapy treatments to bring us all back to life. Shipwreck is a truly beautiful location, with the relaxed go-with-the-flow beach shack vibe that encourages everyone who enters to just let go of their worries and enjoy the moment. The drinks are strong and good, the food is delicious, prices affordable, and the service is really good! To top it off the staff are warm, friendly and make you feel at home. Even the journey to Shipwreck is an adventure in itself. It Is an unpaved bumpy dirt road, but within the 10 minute drive going down to the bar, you’ll see gorgeous surroundings, and possibly some wildlife such as monkeys and local birds. It really sets the vibe of an exotic vacation. Once at the bar, you can rent all kinds of water-related gear to snorkel and to see the nearby reefs, exotic fish, and to enjoy the calm Caribbean waters. If you’d like a slower pace, you can lounge and tan in one of the many beach loungers setup in the gorgeous black sand beach along the shore.

Food was good but not great. Nothing special. You’re paying for eating on the beach. Of the places we went to in St Kitts this was the least best value. The Caribbean Red hot sauce was very good (available for sale).

Had fish tacos, which were really good, & Jerk Pork Tacos. That is the best jerk flavor I’ve ever had. Cool vibes, relaxing atmosphere. Pay to rent a chair and umbrella, but the beers are priced super affordable in comparison to prices back home in Illinois OR Indiana.

Another fabulous day at the Shipwreck bar. Love this place, so friendly and brilliant atmosphere Came of a sailboat via dinghy and landing was difficult due to waves - in January it was super easy. Watch out for reef to the left of the restaurant and poles to the far right of the bar.

What a beautiful beach! If you love Monkeys, and mongoose, this is a must-see. You can eat at a picnic table with a front row seat to nature. The food is good with a nice menu variety, and there is even a rental station for snorkeling gear. Do be warned, sea urchins are prevalent in the water, so just be mindful when going deep.

We stayed at a nice resort on the island but this was still the best meal we had there! We came back for a second time during the week. Great beach bar and wonderful place to relax for the day. Drinks are delicious. Food is good. I had the fresh tuna sandwich, and my husband had the jerk chicken sandwich. Food was hot and came quickly. A few cats and monkeys hang around the place so add to the ambience.

This restaurant is off the path, but our tour guide brought us here after touring us around the island. First of all, the views here were amazing! The sun was shining and the weather was gorgeous. Being able to sit oceanside with the cool breeze and being able to hear the waves! There's an area to sit on the beach to catch some rays and to swim and/or snorkel. Other than the views the food is a must! All the workers were friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Our tour guide recommended trying the curry mutton and wow wow wow! It was better than I thought. The mutton fell off the bone, if there was any bone. So tender and the flavor was just perfect! Not overly salty! The sides that came with the dish were just as delicious as the main course!!!! I opted to try one of their homemade local hot sauces and it just made the dish even more delightful. It was packed with spice, but not unbearable or intolerable. I tried to purchase, but they sell out quickly! Would come back again if I were to stop by Saint Kitts again. How wonderful!

Great little spot, literally a beach shack style restaurant and bar. We popped in for a drink and some conch fritters, after an earlier excursion from our cruise. I’m sure there are other places to see on this beautiful island nation, but if you’re short on time, it’s a good place to check out. 14 bucks per person each way by taxi. That’s the tourist rate, as of this review. 20 minutes from Basseterre and Timothy Point Overlook is on the way.

Loved this beach maybe the most Snorkling was WAY better here than on the Catamaran trip( where they drop you off on a dead reef😭).Enjoy a massage with Aloe on this beach and enjoy the black sand alongside the white sand as you can take a fabulous stoll from one end to the other. Loved the rustic restaurant, mongoose feeding station and seeing monkeys!❤️
