Tiranga Indian Restaurant in St Kitts

Restaurant Indian restaurant

😠 Service was horrible. Food did not taste good. My burger was cold and under cooked. Not sure if I was taken for a local, but guests with a lighter colour got prompt service, persons who came after me were served before me. My order took 45 mins, a grilled beef burger. Will not recommend and I will... People often mention Indian, restaurant, service, good, chicken, excellent, great, Marriott, delicious,

Best Indian food outside of India! The food was wonderful. You have to be careful where you eat Indian food like Chinese as it has a tendency to be destructive to many travelers stomachs. That was not the case at all here. We had all the traditional Indian dishes and it was a beautiful restaurant. Service was fantastic. Very high tech. They had a button to press when you were ready to order a button for drinks and a button for the check. They were not busy so you didn’t need the button but you could use it if you wanted to. Service was great and efficient. Everything came out right. We had the traditional chicken dishes as well as chicken fried rice. We could not do dessert as we were so full. It is directly across the street from the Marriott at Saint Kitts. Walking distance. It’s a long strip next to the grocery store. So whether you’re coming in to go to the grocery store and wanna grab a bite or a nice meal out this is the place!

Authentic and tasty. Banjara kabab (chicken tikka) was excellent as were Bhuna Gosht (dry mutton in spices) and Rogan Josh (mutton gravy). Kids loved the butter chicken and jeers rice. Garlic naans were freshly made and accompanied all the items perfectly. Very close to the Marriott and we’ll worth a visit.

Food and atmosphere were really good, but for a place that was practically empty, the staff didn't seem all that interested in the service aspect of the job. Not rude, just impersonal and definitely not friendly.

Butter Chicken was crazy good. Garlic Naan and rice blew me away. Good food and changed my perspective of Indian Food.

The reviews drew me in and we were not disappointed. Excellent recommendations from the friendly, attentive waiter as our friends were not accustomed to Indian food. We enjoyed vegetarian selections for appetizers and a variety of meats for mains. We had enough for left-overs the next day. Served in a most timely manner. I wish we were in St. Kitts longer, as there is so much on the menu we would have gone back. Less expensive meal and in a "proper" restaurant with clean toilets etc (Another well known restaurant down the strip did not have a sink in the men's room!) Go Here.

While the restaurant looks appealing, the service was definitely lacking. The server made it very clear to my 5yr old nephew and I that even though we were literally the only customers at the restaurant, that we were not welcomed. I was celebrating my birthday...I quickly finished my meal and left. Imagine watching your server and other staff busy watching videos on their phone and then approaching you as though you are bothering them with your presence. The food itself wasn't terrible but I would definitely not return. I highly recommend Indian Summer that is lower down the street. Their food has amazing flavour and depth and their naan is soft, unlike Tiranga's. Their serving sizes are also bigger and customer service is much better.

I had the saffron malai tikka. For my first Indian Cuisine experience, I was very pleased and I would love to go back again. The waiter was very patient with me while ordering. Thank you!

What a fabulous place! We were delighted with every aspect of the restaurant. Yum, yum, yum. We ordered garlic naan, steamed vegetables, rice, and butter chicken. I was hoping to have extras for lunch, but we ate it all! Our waiter Charan was impressive. There were three couples and he memorized all of our orders! Only wish we had found this gem sooner. Highly recommend!

Overall it was good, daal seemed to be stale. But Garlic Naan’s were really good. Charan (server&Manager) was really friendly. Showed me alot of pictures of Cricketers that came there for dining and told me few stories about their interaction. Even let me play music if my choice. Overall it was good. Very convenient location for Marriot and Royal St. Kitts hotel patrons. Newer establishment.

Food was great but our female server was incompetent. The bill was incorrect (way overcharged on the drinks) and did not seem like she wanted to be there.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants anywhere in the world. I did not expect to find top notch Indian food in St Kitts, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. As good as the best Indian restaurants in UK or Australia in my opinion. Highly recommend, especially to anyone at the Marriott - it is literally across the street.

Don't miss this place. Excellent food, lots of it and extremely low prices for an island resort restaurant.

We’ve been to this restaurant two times during our stay at the Marriott. We’ve also eaten at Indian summer and this place is far far above Indian summer. Food, depth of flavor, and friendliness was very welcoming, especially when we show up with a 1 year old and 5 year old. The malai Jhinga and the chicken vindaloo were amazing, we kept thinking about it and had to get it again before we went back to D.C.

Just across the street from the Marriott, four plus our 8 year old granddaughter. Great food, super selections with lots of vegetarian choices. We got three types of bread, all excellent. Every dish we had was delicious. We will be going back later this week.

My family and I ate here twice in one week, it’s delicious. The food was great and so was the service. Our waiter not only remembered everything we ordered but could recall what we had 3 days before. Don’t let the front of the restaurant sway you from eating here, it’s an easy walk right out of the Marriott and you will not be disappointed.

Best cocktails in SKB. We have been everywhere on the island for drinks in the span of 3 years and this place is a hidden gem. Walking distance from Marriot and delicious Indian cuisine.

Food was delicious, service was relaxed and great and the ambiance was nice- Wonderful music! Wish we had tried this night one!

Enjoyed some of the most delicious food of my life here. Ate here twice during our 4 day vacation and would have eaten here every night if it had been my choice. Some standouts were the Veg Sheekh Kabab, Garlic Chili Naan, Aloo Gobi, Shahi Paneer, and the Herb Martini.

We came here seeking refuge on New Year's Eve from the outrageous buffet prices across the street. The food and drinks were excellent, music was upbeat and service was great. Highly recommend!!

Our home town is home to a James beard awarded Indian restaurant. It's an excellent restaurant but Tiranga blows it out of the water! 5 stars! Every menu item we ordered was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The spices were authentic and were delectable. Well done!

My family is very picky about Indian lol, we have been coming to st Kitts for 20+ years. They enjoyed it very much, everything was delicious and flavorful! Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. We will definitely be back.

First experience of Indian food and the service was beyond compare and the food was awesome. I was nervous to try, not a big fan of spice but I got a fish dish that melted in your mouth. My son is allergic to peanuts and she took very good care of him and pointed out everything that he could order. All food here is $$ so just look at the website before you go and you won't be surprised. Definitely go, most good in hotel was boring and still $$

Clean. Extensive menu. Dishes lacking flavor though. Had a strange shrimp curry that was supposed to be a tomato coconut curry but tasted like a thick french veloute sauce. Maybe it was a bad order, but there wasn’t much on the table I liked.
