Went to dine in on Saturday night. After seating us, the waitress explained that they had no beef, no pork, no scampi, no meat loaf and no chicken for salads. We took a look at the menu and discovered there was really nothing on it at that point we could order except breakfast. I decided to order an omelet. The waitress then had to explain that the cooks would not make breakfast at night. Both of them standing in the kitchen doing nothing and people unable to order anything. We thanked them and left to find another place to eat. Pretty disappointing. It seems whenever we come in in the evening anymore they are short staffed, generally having only one waitress and usually quite a wait to be seated, even when it's not busy. Hopefully, it's a temporary problem.

We had high hopes for this place. The ambiance is comfy and old school. Tried it twice now for dinner and once for breakfast. The food is always overcooked. The fries are too dark, the chicken breading is too hard and also overcooked..the bacon was old and re-steamed, hash browns too hard and dark brown. Bottom line: Good servers, bad cook.

Horrible service. Only ones in line many open table (almost all of them) and waited 15 minutes still were not seated. Hostess said she would be right with us and did not acknowledge us again. So we left. Very dissatisfied. It was my birthday and we had always wanted to try this restaurant. Really sad service.

Pretty good locals spot, just a short drive from downtown. Friendly bar -- I had a small steak with salad, baked tater, mushrooms and it was a good value at the price. I'd come back for sure. A solid 3.5 dinner.

I recently visited the Red Rooster Grill and Pub for breakfast on May 28, 2023, with my girlfriend. While our experience had its ups and downs, I would like to highlight a few aspects of our visit. First and foremost, I want to commend our waitress for her exceptional friendliness and efficiency. Despite the early morning rush, she managed to handle the customers single-handedly and provided attentive service. Her dedication to ensuring a pleasant dining experience was evident, and she deserves recognition for her hard work. Regarding the food, I ordered the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns, eggs sunny side up, and wheat toast. While the meal wasn't the best I've ever had, it was decent and served its purpose. The chicken fried steak was cooked well, although I found it to be lacking in flavor. The hashbrowns were average, and the eggs were cooked to my liking. The wheat toast was fine but nothing remarkable. In conclusion, the friendly service provided by the waitress was a highlight of our visit to Red Rooster Grill and Pub. While the food was decent, it didn't leave a lasting impression, and I found myself leaving some food uneaten. For those seeking a quick breakfast option, this place may serve its purpose, but if you're looking for a more memorable culinary experience, you may want to explore other options in the area.

My wife's breakfast was great, I had a Cajun chicken breast, and it was overcooked and so dry. It was in the parking lot of our hotel so it was easy access but I wouldn't go back. There was an older guy, maybe a manager who was complaining about a team member who was running late, and you could tell his wait staff who were great kinda didn't dig the guy. He was audibly talking bad about this member who was late.

My food has always been prepared like I've requested & hot when delivered to me. The wait staff have been courteous & attentive without hovering. I continue 2 go there often. I've only been there for lunch or dinner not breakfast.

Saw reviews that were good, so gave it a try on a visit the the area. It could be hit and miss spot for sure. Unfortunately, food on a Nov. Saturday eve. was terrible, tough steak was not a top sirloin, and over cooked, overdone baked potatoes, etc. All tasted like old left-overs, presentation wasn't bad, salad bar was fresh/clean. Chilly inside too.

We ate on a weekday evening and it wasn't busy at all. Service was very prompt. We both had a Ribeye steak with a one time salad bar trip. The food was good, and the price was reasonable. We were happy.

I'm only leaving a 2 star review and thats because of the waitress. This review is at no fault for her. This is the second time coming here to order the fried chicken dinner. And low and behold, they are not serving chicken because the prep cooks/cook didn't take out the chicken and they were frozen and uncut. Which is hilarious because its a Friday night which most people go out to eat so they dont have to cook for themselves after a long work week, AND mind you its called THE RED ROOSTER...then after I settle for a burger and onion rings the waitress comes back and says they only have 1 fryer side open..so we can have fries or onion rings and not both. This is the last time I come here.

I had the salad bar and my Dad had his usual breakfast eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast. He loves his breakfast there. The salad bar however lacked on choices and was a little messy. Needs to be cleaned and the lettuce was not too fresh. The salad bar I'd give 1 star. Great customer service by the waitress very attentive.

This restaurant was convenient to our hotel. We weren't expecting much from the outside, but we're pleasantly surprised by the food. Portions were large and priced were low. I got the teriyaki chicken bowl. It was amazing. My friend's got the special, and neither could finish their plate. Only complaint was that the veggie of the day was peas, and they were served cold.

Maybe it was a bad day but this was not a good visit. They didn't have the first salad I ordered so I settled for a different one. Then they told me they were out of the hot wings I wanted so I ordered mozzarella sticks; out of those again. So out of the three items I asked for, they had none of them. I decided to eat the salad I did get and decided I would finish dinner somewhere else. The salad I ate was good, though. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Red Rooster and I very likely won't be back.

Was disappointed in our meal. Ordered hamburger steak meal. Mashed potatoes and gravy was cold and corn was cold also. No complaints with our server. Also areas of the restaurant could use a lot of cleaning. The salad bar was great.

We ordered and waited, over 30 minutes later we still did not have our food. It sat on the counter over 15 minutes. When we asked, they gave stupid excuses, we left, not going back there!

We didn't eat anything we was seated then forgotten took 45 minutes to just get served our drinks then 20 minutes later someone came to take our order but because we had to remind them we was there. Another 30 minutes later still no food at this point very frustrated and we left, staff then was very unfriendly and very insulting will never eat here again, went to Dennys and they was very grateful to get our business

It's cheaper to make your own at home...and will taste better. Not much of grill or a pub at all. Food was bland and basic

Dinner was quite mediocre. My wife said her butterfly shrimp was the same frozen brand she buys in the grocery store. My roast beef dinner was mediocre; I'd rather have an Arby's sandwich.

Went here for lunch today, ordered our food to go was told 10-15 mins. For a salad and chicken strips. We waited while watching our food sit in the window for 15+ mins. While the waitress ignored us & let others go ahead of us. Then we told them we would only take the salad as the chicken and fries were sitting for over 30 mins. Just opened my salad to find they put HOT chicken on my salad so it’s wilted and they didn’t put any dressing ☹️ DO NOT RECOMMEND

Tried this place on whim after an exhausting errand, and was surprised by how good it was. Our table ordered the chicken salad, a sandwhich, chicken fried steak. Soup was too salty but the staff was very nice and despite the torn up seating on some of the benches, the atmosphere was comforting!

For traditional American stick to your ribs food, this place is a five! Restaurants like this are increasingly rare to come by and I was so glad to find a good home style meal in an unfamiliar locale. They really know how to do flavor here 😊

Went here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant itself is a bit dated but it all went out the window when the food came. It was absolutely delicious and the waitress was friendly and attentive.

The Red Hot Rooster Burger exceeds expectations. I'm used to going places that claim a dish is spicy and it ending up being mild or generally not spicy at all, but this God damn thing was spicy AF. There's a toilet that's going to get another hole blown in it later. Pray for it.

It was Mother's day so they were very busy so the wait was pretty long. But the food was good and the staff were very nice. The portion sizes were adequate.
