The review is simple: Escape Ashland is great and you should give them your business if you enjoy escape rooms. Our host was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She also rocked a tartan ensemble in homage to the room's theme (The Scottish Play).

Erica was an amazing host! And as a person who also works at an escape room these rooms are AMAZING. Def worth every penny. And cheaper than some other escapss I've been too which is nice. Big big love!

The staff are so cool and give very well-paced hints that keep you having fun. Also just scary enough that my friends screamed mmm, 3 or 4 times? Like really loud. Right in my ear. I had a blast.

We had such a fantastic time! The escape room was so creative and the props were very high quality. It was tricky to figure out but not impossible so it was fun to stretch our brains and feel proud of our accomplishments. The owner was so warm and kind to our kids and willing to gently step in with a hint if we got stuck. It was truly a magical setting and fantastic evening!

Erica was awesome! She was so thorough and friendly (give her a raise!) Definitely go check this escape room out, it's super cool and absolutely amazing. The puzzles were so fun!

This was great fun! My family of four (kids are 11 and 8) all got to participate and we all loved it. We've already started making plans to take friends to do the other escape room theme they are currently offering.

We had a fantastic time escaping. The clues were challenging but possible. The sets were well done and realistic. The hostess stayed in character and was just what you'd want. We don't live anywhere nearby but something tells me that we will still return.

My family and I love escape rooms and loved this one! Surprise after surprise kept us very engaged the whole time. Can’t wait to do the other room!

As community theater performers visiting Ashland, we loved this escape room! So fun to see lots of theater-related props. We barely made it out and had a wonderful time. Turned out the person helping us was the owner who kindly took time to tell us more about Ashland and sights to see after we were done.

Fun experience. Very interactive for any age. The guys working helped keep us on track and let us finish the room even after the 60mins was up.

We did this for a co-worker's birthday and it was super fun! This is the first escape room I've done and it was challenging/tricky but well put together. We had a group of 6 people and that was a little snug in some spots so I would recommend doing it with a small group. We can't wait to do the western escape room they offer next!

We happened to be swinging through Ashland on a trip and went to check out this place on a whim. We couldn't be happier with our experience! Very cool puzzles (some of which I'd never seen anything like before), very fun theming, just an overall great experience! The owner is super nice as well. Check this place out if you are in the area and want a magical brainbending experience! Double double, toil and trouble...

My family and I had a wonderful time at The Scottish Play! This was my first time in an escape room and I don't think it could have been better. The host was great and very engaging and each room we had to escape from got more and more exciting and it was very clever the way it was set up. All around a great time! Thank you Escape Ashland.

Excellent! My family and I do many escape rooms in cities large and small, and for a small town we were impressed with this room. Really clever puzzles, and really nice game design. For scenery snobs, this one doesn't disappoint - I can't wait to try the other room!

One of the best escape room experiences we've had. All of the decorations were on point. The puzzles were well designed and we were engaged the entire time. The nudges from the host were just enough to get you back track without giving you the direct solution. A delightful experience I highly recommend.

"The Scottish Play" was my first escape room experience and WHAT A BLAST! Everyone was so focused and so intense in figuring out the intricate, thematic puzzles. I couldn't believe how excited I was each time we got one step closer to escape, which I am proud to say, we did! A great addition to any Ashland Shakespeare trip -- HIGHLY recommended!!

Our group of five had so much fun! None of us had ever done an Escape Room and now we all are addicted and want to find every one we can! The props and the story were authentic, and it was challenging in such a simple and fun way. Highly recommend for any group to just experience something new.

We booked A Scottish Play for my 2 daughter's birthdays and they had a blast! Mattie was our host and was so much fun or as they called her "The Lady in the Walls" everything in this escape room was so well thought out and so much fun. The kids are still talking about it and now they can't wait for you guys to come up with another room! Escape Ashland definitely does not disappoint. And they are sooooo accommodating! Would highly recommend

My daughter asked to do this with her friends for her 12th birthday party. All her friends agreed it was the best part of the birthday party. They LOVED solving the puzzle and the drama of the scenario. So glad we decided to book it! It really made the birthday party special.

Being it our first time to an escape room, we didn't know what to expect. Especially going as a family, and having our 12 and our 7 year old daughters with us. But the the team at Ashland's Escape Room, and especially Alex, did an amazing job, that made it a fun and memorable experience ! Thank you so much :) Highly recommended !!

GREAT experience!!! My family has attempted a dozen or so escape rooms, and we all thought this one was the best!! The owner is a real sweetheart and she only gives clues when asked and then the clues still make you have to think. The sets are incredibly creative, super fun, and give you a huge feeling of accomplishment as you go through the different rooms.

The Scottish Play is one of the most unique escape rooms we have played out of dozens on the west coast! Without giving anything away, we were amazed by the changing environments with one surprise after the next. The attention to detail and consistent theme is remarkable. And don’t be intimidated by the Macbeth theme—anyone would enjoy this room!

Perfect for a turning 16 birthday with 7 friends. All the teenagers had a great time, solved it within 5 minutes of the end and indicated that Adam, the host, was very nice. Highly recommend!

I had so much fun! The theme of this escape room felt like a perfect fit for the start of fall, and it was really well designed and executed!

This was a cute, well-themed room. The puzzles and game mechanics were unique; however the slight disrepair of the room made it difficult to know which clues to interact with. We appreciated our stage manager's help and it was neat how there was an aspect in which they could modify the room as you played. We have done many rooms around the country and find this one to be thematically impressive but mechanically subpar. Still enjoyed getting out, though.
