An enjoyable restaurant, and decent value for money as far as tasting menus go. Exceptional service and atmosphere. We did the 5 course tasting menu and the food was generally good. The fish courses stood out. However it annoys me when restaurants throw some undressed cress/unidentified green leaf on the plate and call it salad, which occurred on the main courses.

Highly recommend checking this spot out. The food was creative, fresh and divine. There were a few additional surprise dishes included in the 5 course meal and all had my taste buds dancing. The mushroom soup with thyme as well as the lettuce topped with herbs and caviar were amazing. The dishes listed on the 5 course menu that we expected to be served were also fabulous. They were able to combine flavors in unexpected ways and were able to pull it off so well. I left with a huge smile on my face not only from the amazing food and wine but also because of our very kind and informative waitress.

The atmosphere was nice, staff super nice and helpful. But, we did go because we heard the food was amazing. We took the vegetarian options and I have to say I was not really impressed. Unimaginative and some a little tasteless. For what you pay I expected much more. Especially with the hype. I'm guessing vegetarian is not their forte! I heard similar from a friend who has a vegan partner.

Lovely experience, for a Michelin guide restaurant I would have expected a bit more professional serving, but could understand the differences in expectations. The dishes were generally served at the correct temperatures, the portions are quite small and all the flavors were homogeneous in a boring way -- everything was some white sauce and nothing too complex. Appreciate having greens in many of the dishes, added freshness and healthy.

I am amazed at how young the service crew were, and they were very friendly and professional. We came to this restaurant for our wedding celebration. We chose the 3 course Winter menu and was absolutely satisfied. The food was delicious, scallops melt in your mouth and the main I chose was the lobster, it was very well made, I could lick the plate! My husband’s favourite was the beef tenderloin. It is always good when the main is the highlight of a course meal. I am a happy customer and will happily return.

Service was fantastic and suggested wine was lovely. Just be wary if you order the extras on the set menu as this can be quite expensive (beef rather than fish for main course for example).

One thing worth mentioning, if you do have troubles with steep stairs, do make sure to book a table in the main restaurant, the basement seats are lovely and cosy but the stair is very steep. You should be prepared for surprises throughout your visit at Høst! We Will be back for sure!

While all the mains were superb, the 'surprises' you get on the way are equally outstanding. Great new Nordic experience that remains a decent price value proposition. We had the menu which came with a number of chef's surprises throughout. All courses were tasty, however as with so many other places these days, the wine menu that accompanies consists of your typical biodynamic/organic/funky wines instead of classical wines. On request to switch to a classical wine menu instead, the server simply said they wouldn't want to open the bottles of the classical wine to our group of four. Left a bit of a sour taste... Food wise, everything was good though.

I could taste the fresh ingredients, and although the food quality was in for a fine-dining notch, their overall approach was casual and laid back. I loved their candlelit, cozy interior decor that was intimate and inviting. A must-visit for foodies!
