Very nice place to visit, very nice for family outings, awesome peace and quiet.... until someone starts playing music out loud! Why go out into nature to play beat music. That ruined our day! Secondly, we were charged extra to enter when all Web links say R40 per adult, but we're charged R50 each. Our pensioners and 10 year old were told to pay adult fees. Difference of R300 compared to what we should have paid R130??? If your prices increase advertise it properly, and on your social media. This is false advertising. Gisgruntled!

The place is big so we didn't get to explore it like we wanted. We were there for a picnic and a picnic we had. The picnic area has nice braaing spot, a siting spot/area and it's not far from the backpackers/Campers area. Oh yeah you can camp. There's a lot going on there but I was disappointed that they don't have a help desk. Once you get into the reserve you're given a map and you're on your own, literally... You can hike, cycle, camp(as mentioned above) and simply enjoy nature's serenity. Outdoor lovers, this is worth checking out for sure.... What stood out for me is that, there's no network reception. You can literally be cut off everyone, everything and endure in the moment 😍😍

To know this Nature Reserve is right in Rustenburg! It is really great for.. a picnic, to hiking and even bike riding! While you make your way into the Reserve you will get a couple of stops. Make sure to stop at some of these spots. View is just breathtaking!! There is also a hidden waterfall that not a lot of people are aware of!

Place is not what I expected I was totally disappointed, the info desk was closed, there where no maps handed at the gate and there's no signage along the route. I got lost along the way because of incorrect information I was given at the gate, I took the wrong route, I didn'teven get to go on the actual route, only to be assisted by Muthusi but I had to return back. A lot of work needs to be done to improve the experience. The views where beautiful assistance from the rangers was also nice appreciated. It would have been a totally different experience if someone was actually there in the early morning to brief me on the place

Beautiful trail with stupendous views of the Magalies mountain. We did a 2 days hike. The trail is not to be taken lightly, it's very difficult. You need to be mentally and physically fit. The waterfall was the highlight for me.

Beautiful reserve with an abundance of different landscapes Rock formations are quite unique Many hiking trails - mostly moderate level Extremely unfit people might be challenged, for having to climb hills Wanted to do the waterfall hiking trail but was told that it is only an overnight trail Didn't see a lot of wildlife, although it could have been that the herds were moving elsewhere

The place is ideal for Rustenburg people who want to get in a nice walk/bike ride. There are not a lot of animals to see and the trails have been the same old same old since I've been a kid. Management could at least have placed a few interesting facts a long the way. Camp sites are same old same old, clean and basic. Bathrooms are in good condition. Overall 4/5 but getting real close to 3/5....

Although we had a challenge of not knowing the place we'll, but one thing we have learnt about the group we went with for a hiking is that, it gave us all courage to face our fears, to maintain the highest order of self discipline and more over, we learnt to support one another,

Hiked here in February 2020. It was a great weekend out. Not too busy, beautiful scenery, wildlife, fern "forest". Really enjoyed the trip to this reserve. Please note however that the info centre was closed, but at least the path was marked with painted footprints along the way to help you stay on track (not signs).

The elevation gain was epic and the scenery was breath taking... was hoping to get a proper off road mtb trail, however the sable loop was sufficient considering the intensity of the elevation. Going down those hills was just awesome and exhilarating after en epic climb.

I did a Mother's Day hike with my kids. We loved it. Planned the 5km but it was too short so we did the 10km. You venture off and join other trails. Good markings. Different terrain made it adventurous. Reaching the mountain top was exhilarating. Didn't see rock pools or waterfall. Waterfall not on trail but a little drive down the road. Definitely going back to see it.

The hiking trail is beautiful the 3 starts is for the beautiful view, waterfall and rocks 🪨. The trail is not challenging but that also depends on your fitness level. If you are a beginner you will find it very difficult. If you are a beginner go for 5km. The trail doesn't have tree shade it's sun all the way make sure to carry your sun hat and a lot of water. If you are hiking on a sunny day. The trail is not well marked We wanted to hike 19 km's we couldn't find the trail , spent 1hour looking for the trail we ended up doing 12km also the 12km was a problem. Their phone number on their website doesn't go though. Which is not good what if someone get injured while hiking or get lost how will you know please provide the phone number that people can use. Please work on your marking. We didn't receive a map or someone to tell us about the trail. We paid at the gate and had to drive in that was 1km or 2km to the parking. We did not see the reception or toilets.
