Visited on a weekend with friends and family. Even 2 small kids are with us. And for everyone it is very very great place to spend time. You have all kinds of restaurants, gaming zone, casino , kids area etc. You even have a place where you can leave your kids in the care zone and go for a movie or play in the casino. We had lunch at an Indian Restaurant, the place is very good and well maintained.

Still in great nick, well maintained, awesome selection of eateries, from both fast food to finer dining. The casino is also great fun and worth spending an hour or so trying to win the big one. There was a superb collection of vintage cars on show ahead of an auction, added to the overall feeling of a few hours well spent.

Fantastic entertainment venues. Amazing restaurant. Great feel to the place so much choice . Massive casino, cinema. Huge outdoor are that has a huge screen showing sporting fixtures. Loads for kids to do also . Every type of restaurant you could want . Fantastic Bird sanctuary next door . Well worth a visit.

Lots of restaurants and theaters. Fun place to visit, but we missed the legendary sky painted roof? It was very dark inside the casino and very busy. Avoid peak hours if you get anxious in crowds! I would not say child friendly (little kids approximately 1 to 7 years). There are very few family-friendly restaurants with play areas (I know there is a Spur but do not know how the playarea is).

Montecasino is such a beautiful, great and wonderful place where everyone can enjoy nicely . In Montecasino there are a lot world class Restaurants, like KFC, Nando's and Ocean Basket. Also Indian and Asian cousins are there. Hollywood and Bollywood Cinema is also there. Entertainment is for for Adults, kids and for families too. Montecasino is worldwide entertainment center for local and for international guests. I love this place I always enjoy my chocolate coffee , and and indian food. ♿🚻✅

Can be seen as a little deceptive from the outside. Great place to catch a bite to eat with a huge variety of options as well as the chance to catch a show. The prices on shows are very reasonable, especially if you think what they charge overseas for similar performances.

Upon entering Monte Casino you are transported to a little village in Italy. It is truly beautiful and ambient with loads of interest and detail. It offers entertainment in overload. From tenpin bowling, laser tag, an arcade, cinema, theatres, a reptile and bird park as well as casino...there is plenty to do for young and old alike. A wide variety of world class restaurants and stores. A great day or night out for every member of the family!

So many beautiful restaurants, casino to play, movies, food courts, arcade, bowling, laser tag, plays, desserts, shopping, everything. This place looks amazing, it's like a little town inside with beautiful and colorful building blocks. The roof looks like day and it's just an amazing place. We had dinner at one of the restaurants and the food was amazing, i ordered Oxtail and it was so tender and literally falling off the bone. It was not crowded or busy since it was a Tuesday but the place is very beautiful. I'm not much of a gambler but i just like the atmosphere there and it's a great place to hang out over drinks and good food.

This place is epic! The building structure looks like Italian houses, the building walls are not painted which made it look very old-fashioned, the up is covered with fake cloud which looks so real the flooring looks clean and polished oh my God! They have many clothing stores, a radio station, restaurants, a play section for the kids, and a casino section. No kids will come here without having fun, Everything is nicely arranged, there are many beautiful places to take pictures. You have to pay for park cars here.

Very nice family friendly place, as like other casino, R10 parking for the duration of your visit. Magic world play area well equipped to entertain the entire family, just gets a bit crowded. More then enough restaurants for your liking, witnessed at some restaurants you'll que up to get inside, which give indication the restaurants food are well sought after. So yah it's worth the drive to spend your day with the kids.

I was literally blown away by the entire place. It's like an Italian village. The little roads leading up to each restaurant, the shops in between.. Wow. We had lunch at the Greek restaurant, supper and cocktails at Hasser Grill and Verdicchio. I was in food heaven. The little square outside with the water feature, big screens, and pubs to catch a glimpse of your favorite sport... Was just so relaxing. We stayed at Hi Monty hotel. The rooms were absolutely lovely with that modern touch. The Bathroom was so neat and clean. You can literally eat off the Floor😁It was my first visit and certainly not my last. ❤️👍An experience to be remembered 😉👌

We visited Montecasino for our anniversary and it was quite enjoyable. The selection of restaurants, and the specials on offer, is great! We went to the movies (The lady working at the ticket office on 11 Feb 2021 is so unfriendly and rude - almost spoiling the whole experience), we visited the bird park (great experience) and we just strolled through the casino browsing through the little shops. Overall a great experience.

Such a beautiful and romantic place. Also super kiddie friendly and safe. I would say it is also wheel chair friendly and has tons of parking. Perfect for dates with your loved one, family evenings, kiddies day out and shopping

The inside has this old town setting with blue skies day or night. It's seems like a little town in Italy with fountains and and other attractions. To be totally honest I have not visited the casino area and most of the places inside, perhaps my next visit I will explore the rest of this city within a city.

Went there with my friends, had a really great time. Monte casino is child/adult friendly although children are not allowed in the casino. The buildings are beautiful and clean, the place is well decorated. I was impressed. There are numerous restaurants to dine at, saw a few clothing shops as well. We so much fun at the game arcade it’s kid and adult friendly. Me and my friends did try out gambling at the casino but it just wasn’t our thing or we were rather scared of going broke. We got there a bit late so we didn’t go to the bird park. We took an uber there because we were not sure whether the car parking was secure; it does seem safe and it’s a paid parking with boom gates. It’s a fun time getaway honestly, will take my niece and nephew next time.

This is one of the most unique shopping experiences in Johannesburg. The center has created a real experience of time standing still in Italy and even though you know this was done to keep the slots turning, it really does a good job of seperating the casino and the shopping center experience. The center has always been spotless and is still rated as one of the best places to come and have a good evening out.

Monte is a one of a kind experience. Would definitely recommend the movies and any of the restaurants. We brought my international family members here and they were blown away by how authentic it looks. It is so beautifully designed. It has that Italian / vintage/ Rome layout. There is a huge variety of different types of restaurants - Greek, Indian, Japanese, Italian and a lot more. They also have a food court with a variety of affordable well known food places. There is also a lot of entertainment with the casino, bowling, games, bumper cars and movies. There is also a beautiful open area which has a unique fountain that children are normally playing at.

Never been disappointed by any production that I have seen here. Facilities are excellent. Do however wish there are more savory snacks offered instead of just sweets and chips.

Veryy poor i drove 100 km and I couldn't even enter the casino area my ID and drivers lisence got stolen with my wallet. They refuse to accept your ID number or a copy of your ID. I started to try and arrange a way for them to receive a copy of my ID via email, fax or picture and without listening to reason they called security on their portable radio and answered with no. Montecasino is the best entertainment place in the city for our family. It helps that we live nearby. It does have just about everything we enjoy including a variety of restaurants, cinemas, theaters (small ones and the Teatro), arcade, some shopping, casino, outdoor piazza and even a bird garden. If from out of town, there are 4 hotels in the complex, from 5-star Palazzo to the reasonable Hi Monte that caters to the youth or anyone on a budget. On top of that, the security is excellent. So is the parking. I feel safe in the complex. They even have a childcare place, for those who might want to try the casino.

R10 parking upfront and you can look at their beautiful ceiling all you want. This place has never not seemed magical and whimsical. We signed up for casino cards as it was our first time there. They did not reward us with freeplay like other casinos do. Worst of tsogo sun casino, machines are tight due to them being in an upmarket place. I could only count 8 cars on a sunday. Shows you how uninvited you feel compared to emperors palace where u get alot of rewards and where lots of ppl come.Never going there again. Will stick to time square, emperors palace,gold reef city and carnival city casino. I would definitely not go there again.

Donatella's food was amazing and now with the covid and social distancing, there isn't much people. Very peaceful and I found macaroons ? so I'm happy.

Well it was a day of pumping the machines with money and barely if ever getting free spins. The enjoyment is to play with ones money and even leave it there but not fun when you feed the machine and not to get spins.

Ah good old Monte. One of the best casino's iv ever seen. Managed to win R5000 on my 20th birthday here. A interesting all out experience. People are incredible and friendly the restaurants are amazing, if you want a experience of a life time I highly recommend you seeing this place. It's based on a old Italian village, (the inside of the shopping center) with old buildings and a blue sky, even at night really a incredible experience to have. Without a doubt highly recommend it.

Very good precautions taken upon entry. Sadly it's neglected inside the casino itself. Not many places to sanitise. So we go around with possible covid on our fingers, passing it onto every machine. Staff is well protected and continuously wipe our cards, but they don't show the same amount of care with their clients. They make timely announcements prior to the bar closing. Maybe 5hey should provide disposable gloves to clients. Will definitely make us feel safer. I was very uncomfortable with the risks.

Excellent atmosphere no pushing and no patrons looking over your shoulder at the gaming tables very disciplined after lockdown was relaxed. The house is the winner for R700 not a single strike at 10s or better 😭.

Nice place to visit, clean, the buildings within the casino are on another level, just couldn't find more places to let my kids enjoy more except for cinema and the gaming arcade, we had to go to four ways mall for extra gaming activities

Slightly dated and some stores are shut probably permanently, but it is still a popular place and can be a fun night out. I don't gamble so can't comment on that side but the restaurants and entertainment are really good, it's very safe and covid security is also high. I felt protected and that all staff were committed to this. I've eaten at a few of the restaurants (some pics attached) and wandered around, very chill place.

This might not have been my first time here but I quite enjoyed it. The place is ever so nice and clean and mask culture was observed by most. Enjoyed Ten pin bowling then took a walk and had a bit to eat. Totally love it. Highly recommend it.

Over the years I have always enjoyed frequenting Monte Casino. It has lost some of it's vibe,due to the Pandemic.I hope business will pick up soon. I am looking forward to watching some shows there again. The restaurants are good.A great selection. Scoobs,the amazing book store has closed down...a sad loss!

Went to the opening of Nikos at Montecasino. Was absolutely amazing. Our taste buds were taken on a journey of sheer joy. The food was scrumptiously good . The desserts were incredibly awesome. The service was attentive, and we were kept entertained with an excellent dancer . Loved the entire evening, will highly recommend Nikos Montecasino, and am definitely going back to tantalize my taste buds

Montecasino, a wonderful city within a city. Though this is basically a casino it boasts of a huge number of restaurants. The food in all the restaurants is top quality. The shops have some good items but are rather highly priced. A must visit if this is your first time to Johannesburg. There is a good arcade for the little ones to spend their time … including a child sitting service. And if you have time to kill, visit the cinema.

Lovely- R10 packing for the whole day. Nice restaurants, the ambience, everything just spells relaxation. Nice games for family and friends- bowling and laser tagging...and of course the casino if you are feeling lucky, but remember winners know when to stop.

My day was pretty much spent here. I thought that with the child minding place being closed, the kids would be bored. Not at all. We did the bird and reptile Park, we ate at spur, we spent another hour in the magic company and booked for movies tomorrow. I've never spent time on the movie half of montecasino but I do believe that it's a fun and kid friendly area.

A very nice place to go with family and friends, it's chilled. You can also to spend a weekend there, everything you need you'll get it. Had so much fun✌❤

Had lots of fun my kids didn't want to leave the place

It is a beautiful place, there are a lot of games , restaurants where you can buy anything, lots of beer variety, movies, casinos and a birds parks. The place is very beautiful. I love it

From the fine table settings to the attentive waiters to the gorgeous decor Medeo restaurant at the Palazzo hotel is the best place to go for a simple yet relaxing afternoon with the ladies. Enjoy an aromatic tea of your choice and spoil your sweet tooth with decadent pastries and mouthwatering savouries. Every elegant woman's idea of a Sunday tea.

Monte is always a great place to go unwind. I am not a gambler so the casino has no attraction for me. Fortunately the supporting restaurants, stores and entertainment venues are more than enough to keep even a non gambler entertained. The restaurants are for the most part well priced and there is an excellent range so you can enjoy it on a budget. The security is a great advantage as you can feel comfortable with letting the teens roam free without supervision and there are plenty of activities for them too. Overall I think everyone should visit at least once to take in the sights and experience but I am confident that having visited once you will want to return again and again.

This place is simply beautiful, from the lights exterior and the interiors that is just unique The security who secures not only your family but your car are well trained. With so many variety of restaurants, 5 star hotels, clubs and casino to choose from , their smartness is mostly defined with the spottless restrooms.

Really enjoyed the Monty experience for the weekend. Compared to other casinos there is a lot more to do here. Just need time. There is enough to do for the entire family besides gambling. Just be cautious of the Magic Company, you can lose tokens and no support on the floor to assist.

Excellent venue to host an event especially the Ballroom. Variety of restaurants makes the place vibrant. The environment is very secure. The security personnel are vigilant all the time. ATMs are readily available in the casino area. Various hotels present a variety of choices.

It was an awesome place. I visited last week here for Rugby final match. CASINO is also very good here. Overall I would definitely recommend this place for hangout.

I was here at Montecasino merely to meet and greet with our President that visited SA for BRICS Summit. From the outside is a nice and fancy place. Not sure how does it look inside the room an all other facilities as I was only outside and at the Reception inside area. I am sure its a great place as couple of Head of State was staying here.

We had dinner at the Fire Room last night. The food was outstanding and the service great. We shared the Fillet Tataki to start followed by the Fire Roll and Tigers vs Dragons. My mouth is still watering!!
