We unfortunately didn't get to stay here, as we had a sudden change in travel plans. I spoke to the owner who seemed quite understanding and willing to refund our accommodation, with only a small booking fee being needed, which we all agreed to. 5 months later, numerous emails and phone calls, with her saying that she never received our money and the booking company confirming that she definitely has all the money, she has lied over and over again about giving us our money back. If she hadn't agreed in the first place, this wouldn't have been an issue. You owe us A LOT of money. I have all correspondence in emails. Am sick of the games and lies. I will be taking this further! REPLY TO OWNERS RESPONSE this review was made over 2 years ago BEFORE ANY REFUND HAD BEEN MADE TO THE FAMILY! So may what to check your facts before responding making yourself look petty ;)

We phoned late and arrived late. The lady had no problem waiting for us and our room was nicely heated on a cold evening. Best bath i had in a long time.

Although we only stayed for one night, we really enjoyed it. Everything felt classy, exceptionaly clean and organized. We only booked a single room unit, but the owner didn't mind that we brought stretchers for our kids to sleep on (no extra charge) Would definately recommend

Good day, It was an awesome and fulfilled experience spending leisure time at African Elephant's Den ~Stilfontein - Bert and Annemarie went out of their way to make it an experience not to forget. Everything about this Guesthouse is so professional and very excellent. How I wish my stay here was extended to a week or even more. I will definitely book this place one more time whether it's leisure or Business.

The most horrible service ever. I booked a day before my stay, on the day I had to check in, I told the receptionist my ETA and she told me that she has to go home at 21:00 and I will find the lights off and the gate locked. Gave me a run around before refunding me and deducted a certain amount from it and was rude the entire time.

The owner is so welcoming and polite. Rooms are clean, everything is just on point. Our stay was wonderful.

Everything was just amazing and top tier. The food was to die for, the room I was staying in was immaculate and clean and the owner Tannie Anna-Marie is a wonderful person. This place is truly a home away from home. ❤️

We were received very professionally and friendly. The accommodation is very neat and tidy and very very CLEAN. Cleanliness is next to Godliness and this is very true and evident in every sense of the word at this particular Guesthouse. I would also rate, with the greatest ease of mind, rate these facilities as very affordable in relation and comparison to other guesthouses in the area and in the country at large - especially in terms of value for money and the quality of the service and accommodation. It is abundantly clear that the owners understand the principles of service delivery and professionalism. They keep a firm hand on things and they do a lot of the work in terms of the general maintenance and upkeep themselves and take enormous pride in it.
