Exceptional quality food and very neat place to have food. Waiters are very patient and friendly. I love it

Tonight I called before going to the restaurant to hear if it was very busy. I was told that it's not that busy. Got to Mike's, was greeted and taken to our preferred seat outside at children's area. I was told our waiter would be with us shortly. Atmosphere was great and my kid loved the play area. So a few minutes passed and no waiter. Then a waiter came and helped the lady next to us. He did not even look over to us and bolted off. So yeah after 20 minutes of waiting we got fed up and decided to leave. I could have stood up and asked for waiter but it's kind of not my job especially after I called to hear if you are busy and after I was told a waiter would be with us shortly. Before we left I politely asked the lady next to us how long she waited before they helped her and she said 20 minutes.. I will come and visit again because of the amazing play area which my toddler enjoys, but this time I will bring my own food and drinks.

Had a celebratory brunch here after graduation. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as they always have been the multiple times we ate there since I started university in 2019. The food, like the service, has been consistently great each time we went to the restaurant. The only discomfort is the warm inside seating during summer and spring, but it's nothing that should turn anyone away from eating here.

T'was my friend's hubby's birthday. He came from Queenstown to celebrate at Mike's Kitchen Potchefstroom. We had fun! It was a blissful, jolly evening.

I and my friend came in for dinner on the 26th of September 2022 at about 1900hrs. I had made a call to make a reservation and was rudely told that only 6 people and above make reservations so I just need to walk in and will get a table. On arrival, we were friendly welcomed and sat on the outside. We were ignored for the next 25plus minutes and we asked the gentleman who sat us to get a waiter for us as we felt like we were lepers in a wrong place. Not that there were no waiters but they kept passing us without even batting an eye to us. Well at last a gentleman called Christiaan saved the day by giving us great service thus the 3 stars given. Food was great no complaints.

Great food and amazing vibe! The playground is very exciting for the kids and you can eat and relax because someone watches them. Mike's kitchen has expanded their play area for the kids and the food and service is still as great as ever!

Great service and excellent food. Went there for the Breakfast Buffet on Saturday. Really good value for money. The food was delicious and plenty of variety to pick from. Really enjoyed the time there - will visit again

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Potch that caters for families with young children. Massive playing area at the back, jungle-gyms and slides of various sizes, enclosed trampoline, a jumping castle and a track to race one of the plastic motorbikes around, more than enough to keep the small ones occupied. A lot of seating as well for parents to sit outside and keep an eye on the kids. Inside there are also an indoor playing area that caters more for young toddlers with padded bars, floor and soft toys. Our breakfast coincided with a massive golf day buffet, so service was understandably a bit delayed. Very friendly service from our waiter, Renaldo👌

The food was delicious and well prepared, and the staff was also professional and very friendly.

Excellent service and professionalism from staff. Our waiter was concise when answering our questions. Orders were delivered in good time, fresh and hot. Play area is in excellent condition and tables are located nearby for parents and in the event of a party. My wife and I had a period of rest whilst the kids enjoyed all the area has to offer. Needless to say, we will be returning soon. Thanks to Mike's Kitchen and all their staff!!

We only had 40mins to sit down, order and eat because we had another appointment. Our server helped us, we explained that we need to be quick and ordered. Despite there being a kids party and quite alot of people we received our full breakfast in 15mins. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was awesome.

It's any amazing place to visit first time I went there I was on a date I took this amazing pretty woman there to take things out of my chest with her and it went great the place kinda off made my intentions clear it's a place for 2 people and a place for the family it's and excellent place to visit they have been around for a long time everything about the place is great kids have a place to play enough parking space a very clean and nerd restaurant a manager comes by greet and see if we are being taken care off for great service I left a waiter smiling with tip for excellent service I don't regret it let's not forget the bar for great service on the drinks cocktails

We were there for a team catering, and absolutely fall in love with this restaurant. We didn't wait long before a waiter came to our table. Definitely will recommend this place, their food and atmosphere is 👌🏼

If you love coffee, ask for a Matthew special. We miss Matthew at Mike's, but his cousin Lizey is still there, and she knows the secret recipe. Always friendly with excellent client service and a play area for the kids. Also a huge thanks to the kitchen staff and waiters for singing to my mother-in-law for her 85th birthday.

We waited about 20 minutes to be attended to when we were seated. (Would give 2 stars for service.) When we were finally served after my partner went and asked for a waiter. The food came out pretty quick, and it was good. Good portion size for the price too. Will probably come again, and would recommend to anyone who asks.

This is a family friendly staple restaurant in Potch, Mike's kitchen has a good reputation and upholds it too. However, the waiter that served us hardly came to check on us, even when we were finished he just dropped off the bill and left, we had to figure out how to pay ourselves,we thank God for competent managers to come and save the day. The food is nice too

We had breakfast at Mike's Kitchen, which was pretty tasty, but the portions could be better. Also, they did not ask how we would like our eggs done or what kind of toast we prefer. There are very nice kids play areas indoor and outdoor, with someone on duty to watch them. The staff are quite friendly and helpful.

We went for their birthday special, it was an awesome experience as usual. They were rather busy, and we were glad to have found a table. Despite the amount of clients, our service was fast, the food was fantastic and our waitress was kind and on top of it. A great place to take your family or friends, 10/10 would recommend.

Food is always great. Atmosphere is always great. . The White waiters always seem to have an issue serving Black people ⚫️. . Piss poor serving from White guy with tattoos. Fake smile; passive aggressive behavior; insisted on speaking his precious Afrikaans even though we clearly couldn't get what he was communicating or asking us. Threw straws on the table. Maybe we were the wrong colour. . Poor guy, I am sorry that he had to serve people who are *beneath* him. He must have been traumatized.

Service was fair. Service was excellent. Lionel was very friendly, made sure we were comfortable and explained the specials of the day and all other queries we had. He, Lionel, is an asset to the restaurant.

Excellent experience here again as every single visit before. The waitrons are very friendly and quick to serve you. As you would expect, the menu is quite friendly to almost every palete. Kids will always be entertained as well and smokers are welcome on the outside sections, which are comfortable for group visits and small functions. A+

Delicious food , had a very enjoyable Easter lunch buffet , our daughter even got complimentary Easter eggs. We were served by a awesome waiter by the name of Sam , who is a awesome lady , who took very good care of us , and was very attentive. She is amazing with children too. The play area attendant was very kind and patient with our daughter and has a heart for children. Thank you Adriaan for your friendly face at the buffet. As of now, they have a very good special on Fillet on Tuesdays, I can truly recommend it. A colleague had hake and chips; generous portions and quite delicious! My meat was unfortunately completely overdone; the only blemish on otherwise good service and excellent food.

The place is great, the service was good and our Waitress- Maria she served us well and the food was amazing.

I don't usually give bad reviews because I understand the impact it could have on a business but this I have to do. The service was quite terrible. Our waitress took forever to check on us, we had to start looking for her multiple times. The manager tried to play down complaints with jokes. The place could be cleaner. The food was good, but the service was just not right.

My family's go to place for dinner and Sunday buffets. Great service, lekker atmosphere and usually an overall pleasant experience

The food was more than enough but somehow the quality of the special is not the same as the food eaten on another day. Today was chicken schnitzel and was not as tender or juicy as on other days. However value for money is very good

Terrible, terrible steak. Very disappointed. No basting which is fine but absolutely no salt or spices at all. It was tender but full of sinew. We ordered three exact same steaks and all three were without any salt or spices. One steak was inedible. Was asked if we wanted it replace it but was so put off that we declined. Was asked if we wanted an ice cream, said no. On a bill of R1,000.00, have to say will not be visiting again.
