Genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. One star is too generous for this place. Horrendous service which left three people speechless and uncomfortable opting to leave as quickly as possible and not having a chance to enjoy the view. The staff here really need to find another career or seek professional help when it comes to this industry. Hospitality? No, more like hostility. As for the food and drink there are several places surrounding where we found much better food at much better prices, with people that actually seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Finally, the staff only slightly warmed to us when settling the bill after discovering that a member of the party spoke Dutch, questioning her as to why she was speaking English. A very rude and discriminatory comment which suggested the level of service we had received may have been due to the language we spoke upon entering. No Covid checks done when entering either. 24 hours on this experience is still bothering me. Below average food and drinks for extortionate prices. Avoid this place of you don't want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth. Figuratively and literally.

My family and I found this place on google maps. At first we were a little bit sceptical, because of the ratings. Fortunately, the food was amazing and the waiter was very kind and helpful. I would recommend the scampi in garlic butter or the fish and chips.

Nice location with a wonderful view. We had this great belgian stew with fries and a framboise beer, good big portions. The cheesecake as a desert was not that good. The weird thing was when we paid by card and the waiter asked us if we want to leave a tip. That made us feel uncomfortable. If i consider the service was worth it, i will tell you if i want to tip, you dont need to put pressure on me by asking. Left the place with a bad taste. 3 stars because of that.

Nice place. Good food. The only problem is the tip. After being in a lot of restaurants in Belgium, this is the only one that "suggests" patrons to leave a tip. I did not like that detail. That's why only one star.

The mussels are really good! Highly recommended! So value for money! Super good taste too! Taste 5 stars! Beef stew is good but I strongly recommend the mussels as main dish!

Service was okay. Very pricey. Waffles were okay but not worth the price.

Food amazing, but the best was Parash our waiter, very smiley and helpful, very good english and give us time to order, GIVE HIM A PAY RISE. Ordered sole and got some, last time got cod! Lovely terrasse and view, highly recommended. Thanks to the Chef too

Very well located and with a very designed menu of flemish traditional and diverse other dishes. For a restaurant in the core of a tourist region in a super tourist town, the prices are a bit high but not ultra overpriced. The atmosphere is comfortable yet always busy, and the service is OK. The food was quite good and worth the visit.

First class service and fantastic coffee. We just had waffles. Coffee & beer today. Sat outside and soaked up the atmosphere. Perfect 👌

We sat on the outside terrace area, fantastic views of the square. Food was excellent and service brilliant.

I didn't eat at this restaurant so I haven't commented on the food. I had a beer which was reasonably priced and served cool. It was a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by in the shade of the restaurants canopy. As you can see from the picture, it was a gloriously sunny day. Well worth a visit.

An amazing place to go, you definitely have to try the “Flemish Stew” WOW! Super tender and full of flavor, as one friend said “Taste like home” Servers were super nice, one even speak a bit of spanish to us, other local explained us the details of how they make this plate. Great location, a must come back place!

A nice easy place to eat near the cathedral on the square. We sat outdoors on the patio under warming torches with blankets. We had a simple meal - salad, soup and Frits. Everything was good - served efficiently and prices were good. Beautiful view of the square, charming setting. Service was excellent.

Nearly didn’t go here as under 4 stars when we checked reviews but glad we did. Great food, portion size & service, plus the waiter knew what he was talking about when showing us the gluten free options on the menu.

Vast menu - plenty of options for everyone! Excellent scenic location. Fabulous food - HUGE portions, which makes the prices reasonable. Lovely waiters, very personable and ready to help! Delicious food and drink (vegetarians catered for too!).

Actually tried to book at well renowned restaurant nearby but no tables available so ended up here, by chance. Great food, we had the mussels. Great portion sizes and attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Pretty overrated place, the dish portions are okay but prices are high (I think it’s because of the location), the food was brought really fast which is cool, but the waiters seemed unhappy and you could see it in their eyes how they judge you by how you look like. The mussels were okay, nothing special, but the beef stew was really tasty

We chose the set menu, to include mussels with any 'sauce'. Expected to be charged a little more for the wine and cream sauce as more expensive on main. But no! Any sauce, same price. Portion sizes also the same as main menu. A value meal choice all around. Food was really tasty. A great creme brulee. Bloke puffing away on a cigar at table next rather spoilt the atmosphere in more ways than one. Even when sat outside. Waiters not overly attentive.

An almost unopposed position on Bourg Square might not always lend itself to a restaurant of quality, but for us this was the exception. We had a lunch (waffles) and two evening meals there: roast salmon, omelette, fish & chips, scampi with curry and white rice. All of this from the strawberries on the waffle to the roasted salmon and béarnaise sauce were all excellent. All of the staff were so helpful and obliging. Fourteen large infrared gas heaters made dining on the covered patio a viable alternative to inside even in November.

Fabulous setting and amazing taster menu. 5 tapas sized dishes for two to share left us full. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Over priced tourist trap. Nice location and ambience but the service is horrible. Walked in, barely greeted by the staff and then ignored for 10 minutes. Never offered a menu or asked about anything. Avoid, many better places around

My mom had the fish and chips and couldn't finish the fries, and she loves fries but the portions were too much for her which is a good thing. I ordered the fish stew and it was full of shrimp, mussels, clams and of course chunks of fish. It was so delicious. I definitely recommend you make this a stop when in the area.

Guys you have to understand that the quality of food that you re providing is the opposite of the prices on your menu.. I mean it's mind blowing that you re still in business and that people is not dumb. The sooner you get it the better for your investment. I'm really sorry for being so hard but I ve never eaten an omelete of 18 euros and I have to say it was worth of 5 euros.
