The hotel is conveniently located and the front desk clerk was polite. Unfortunately, he gave us a key card for someone else's room that was already occupied. So you can imagine the surprise when we open the door and there was a family watching television, sitting on the couch. They were incredibly understanding, surprisingly. We went right back to the front desk and they corrected the situation and gave us a free upgrade. This is just a note of caution that you should always lock both locks on your hotel room door, just to be safe. The fridge and toilet were very loud, for some reason. The TV remote in the bedroom wouldn't control power or volume. Small issues but make a difference. The continental breakfast wasn't available as of 7:15, so not sure what happened there. All in all, it's a comfortable place with decent amenities, but for the amount we paid and the other issues, probably would not return.

Beds are comfortable. Rooms a bit cramped for having two adults, a 2 year old toddler and a 6 month goldendoodle. The continental breakfast is nice and we enjoyed the social dinners mon - wed. However, cleaning staff had expressed they were scared of our dog even when he was crated up so they wouldn’t enter the room to empty garbages and do refreshes to our bedroom. With a 2 year old still in diapers those tiny garbages filled up very fast. The toilet ran all day and night in our room, only one of the two burners on the stove top works and the laundry room (which is free to guest - very nice feature for longer stays) was very, very gross. I mean disgustingly gross. All the machines were dirty inside and out . There was a soaking wet towel that just laid on the floor. Garbage amongst the shelves, lots of lost hotel keys, etc. Only ONE out of 4 of the washing machines work and maybe 2 of the 4 dryers. The big area for the dogs was fantastic - the grill area would have been nice to use but that was also very gross and the grill didn't even look like it had grates. I read there is an update coming in the near future and I think this place could really use it!! Overall it was an okay stay but I don’t know if this would be my first choice next time.

I had to book a last minute stay here and I was super impressed! Check in was so easy and my room was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable and I got a peaceful night sleep. The front desk worker, Michael was very friendly and informative! He also had great recommendations of food nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed on the third floor and a flood must have occurred on the 4th floor as the ceiling paint in our room was peeling all over. The heating/cooling unit was not working properly either but we were able to open the windows a bit to get some fresh air. Other than those items, it was a good stay. Breakfast was fantastic!

Overall very nice and clean hotel. The 24 hour pool was very convenient. Loved the breakfast plenty of choices. My only complaint is that the walls are thin. I woke up at 12:30 at night to hear a very loud sexual session going on. Lots of banging on the wall and moaning. I don’t think beds should share the same wall in hotels for this reason.

Well balanced comfortable room. Set up for handicap. Felt like a homey studio. Just a one night stand this time. Breakfast choices are the BEST. Eggs, meat, hot and cold cereals, LOTS of fresh cut fruit and berries, and a few veggies served buffet style, yogurt, granola, carbs, juice, coffees, teas, hot chocolate. Hopefully I will get this way again.

Terrible service! The room we stayed in smelled like smoke, and there were no lights on in the parking lot at night time. So after 3 nights of staying there, we ended up moving a mile away to the Country Inn & Suites off University Avenue, it was much better service.

Don't expect wifi with enough strength to do any kind of gaming. Breakfasts had sufficient options. My room was amazing compared to where I've stayed before. There was one employee in particular at the front desk when I arrived, during my stay, and I was attempting to check out. Had my dishwasher leak water all over the kitchen in my room on my last night and when I went to tell him he simply asked "what would you like me to do?" So I went ahead and mopped it on my own to not put any difficulty on his day. (You guys can check the front desk interaction on 12.12 at around 1am). Other than that, the rest of the staff was incredible and made me feel extremely welcomed.

My family and I were traveling to Des Moines for the weekend. We had car issues and arrived around 8 Friday evening to this property to a pitch black parking lot. All the lights in the parking lot were out/off. We check in and go to our room and it is in need of repairs. The ceiling above the kitchen is literally falling onto the floor. The bathroom wall has cracking paint and bubbling paint as well. The ceiling above the windows has clear water damage and is stained. I alert the desk agent they said just let them know at checkout and something can be done. Sunday we go down to checkout I inform the agent and show her the images from the room and ask to speak with the manager on duty and was told no one was available and would be in later that day and take care of adjusting my stay. I left my contact information and I am an IHG member so they have my email. I call back that evening and was told they would be in tomorrow. I call back during the hours previously told and they were unavailable. Now we are 3 days later and no contact from anyone about addressing my concerns. Please take your business elsewhere.

No one was at the check-in counter for 10-15 minutes when we arrived and we had to go find someone to check us in. The rooms are extremely outdated. The chairs are hard and the couch is worn out and they sink in when you sit on it. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. They are in the process of remodeling the dining area and are supposedly going to start remodeling the rooms in the Fall. We would not stay here again. We like to stay at Staybridge Hotels but this hotel was very disappointing which is sad! It needs a lot of renovation.

Perfect location close to the highway yet quiet. Room was large. It could use a bit of an update on decor as I felt the room was a bit dark, but VERY happy stay
