DONT GO HERE. Save your patronage for another establishment in the waterfront. Currently sitting in Spur, just my wife and I. Ordered 4 items and 2 drink. The waiter forgot our order and came back to take it again. Still brought the incorrect request for drinks. Currently waiting over an hour and no one has come back to see to us, 3 other tables had their food, ate and left in the time. This is extreme poor quality for a Spur. No patron care. No concern for anyone else. Not sure the reason, starters haven't even come yet. Would not recommend.

Poor service from the second we walked in. My husband and I stood at the door waiting to be seated for 10min while staff ran past us, without so much as a greeting. Once eventually seated we advised the waiter that we will only be having desserts... She stated that the desserts will take long, as there is only 1 person working at the dessert station. We ordered none the less... I had a chocolate Brownie and my husband had the waffles. When the dessert arrived we were only given knives and forks, no spoons for the ice cream. The Brownie I had ordered was so dry, it was even crumbling on the inside, needless to say i did not finish the brownie. Our waitress also just dropped the desserts at out table without saying anything, then just disappeared, never to be seen again until we asked for the bill and got up to pay. The restaurant also seemed to be very chaotic, even though it was not busy, with servers running around. Not the standard of Spur we are used to. Quiet disappointing, sine we do really enjoy Spur.

Trading times are clearly stated as 8am to 21pm on week days on the restaurant's door and on Google. Arrived at 8:10, was completely ignored by the staff. When we greeted them and asked if they were open the waitress dismissively said she would ask the manager who said they were still closed. They were not even prepared to serve us drinks while the kitchen was preparing for the day. The poorest service I've ever received at Spur before.

Had better experiences at other spur restaurants. Our waiter was friendly, it's the food that wasn't up to standard. We had breakfast and the eggs were undercooked, meat wasn't prepared to our requirements, etc. We also waited for our food longer than usual in a not so busy restaurant. In my opinion the kitchen can do better.

Can't complain about about the service since their is none. Took forever just to have breakfast and start our day. Everything happens in slow motion and if manager maybe take her eyes off computer or move 2m away from computer she would be able to improve service.

What a circus. Worst Spur in South Africa. Tables are dirty. Waited more than an hour for food and drinks. Then the order was wrong. The only reason this place is still open is because of desperate tourists. Worst of the worst. Much better places to choose from.

What a disaster to start 2023!!! I will never go here again and everyone reading this, don’t waste your time. This in my opinion is the worst experience of any spur in South-Africa. Management please close this place if you are even reading this because if you own this Spur you have failed as a manager/owner. You have received the same bad reviews for months now and no improvement. Also don’t even reply with the same “follow the link” response as the previous bad reviews.Take the time to write a proper response. As I had 2 hours to make up my mind whether or not to write this review while waiting for food and drinks, if it was not for my friends I would have left within 15 minutes! P.S. Thank you the bathrooms were clean!

Terrible establishment: we waited at the door with no one attending to us. We went to sit and twiddled our thumbs with nobody giving us attention. Then Evans, the waiter arrived. Wow! The less said about him, the better. He has no business working in the hospitality industry...none. Shame on him! I have never had such awful service at a Spur in my life. Will never visit this one again. Ever!

The staff are great. The low rating is for the food. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Maybe the chef was having a bad hair day. The food arrived lukewarm, the plate was cold. I ordered a Beyond Burger with chips and "onion rings". The chips were floppy, the onion rings just a pile of limp sliced onions in oily crumbles. The burger patty was overcooked and shrunken, looking forlorn on the bun. It was truly disappointing and not worth the price tag.

Food was great as always but the service was extremely bad. For a restaurant that is quiet and not being serviced by our waiter sucks.

They were open when all the other restaurants were still closed. They served great food while loadshedding was on.

Eating at a Spur after a long time was quite nice and refreshing! We came late at the Spur (10 minutes before closing time) but they let us in, and made delicious food. Coupled with a nice glass of wine and good company and service it was very good.

Amazing setting and good fun for the kids

Never been disappointed by this spur my local Spur, staff always friendly. Been in quite a lot never had an issue. Other then that just your typical Spur.

I was about to leave last night as no one attended to me. Thankfully, Cynthia Moss came to me, apologized, and gave me the Spur experience I needed. Food came through amazing. Cynthia, Manager of the Spur branch, made me so happy I'm back for another meal. ASK FOR CYNTHIA she will take care of you. Worst experience we have ever had at a Spur. How on earth do they not have a hostess? Customers just seat themselves. We waited long for a waitress while witnessing 2 walk outs because the waiters take so long. We ordered a double burger, came back single. Forgot the guacamole on the burger, and gave chips and onions when said onions only. If the place was full and the waitress was spinning I'd understand, but it was dead. And the table behind us still had a dirty glass and plate on it and flies were everywhere. The owner needs to get their act together, or close down the store.

Waiter didn't listen or see when one show her on the menu what you want, due to the loud and horrible music. Some of us try to escape from the big city's and all the noise to such quite places, but then this experience chase us away from this type of restaurants.

Waited long to be served. Then waited an hour for a Nacho's! Waiter spills a drink and I have to reminder her twice for a cloth to clean the table. Saw 3 tables get up and leave from poor / no service! Worst ever! Where is the Owner, never mind Management? Seems Staff don't want to be there..

Food was good, however not what I ordered. According to the waiter I was not clear on what I wanted, but it was the straight forward breakfast menu, I pointed to my choice and made no changes. The music was terrible and very loud. Won't go there again.

Seated its 15 minutes eatery not so full workers celebrating and dancing to birthday songs being played .I am asking for menu now book for I am.not here to watch qatar 2022 but to dine and vacate the place .The service is unexpected of by spur standards countrywide

We took our family to the Spur for a breakfast before a boat cruise, well what a disaster, we had to leave before breakfast was served and to add insult to injury the staff were downright rude and incompetent. I was not going to voice my disgust but then friends went to Falcon Creek spur with a group of pensioners and again the service was putrid, I have checked the reviews and while Spur claims that they are intent on running a high quality spur this is clearly not happening, shame on you Spur. Then again you obviously don't need our patronage

I always come to the spur for their amazing malva puding but today I didn't even want their dessert because the food was just terrible. The ribs tasted like cardboard, they were so dry it was even hard to cut through with a knife. The sausage was so hard, I couldn't even eat it and so I am really disappointed.

I have never had such bad service at Spur. We first went in the morning after our arrival in Knysna and waited for more than 30 minutes to get service. 3 tables sitting next to us that arrived after us were served first. The waitress told is that it was because of the kind of meal we ordered, yet we only ordered fish and they ordered meat. I thought maybe, I was overthinking things so we went again only to have the same experience and then we decided to go to another restaurant.

We go to spur allot and have been to very many branches....this experience was one of the worst. Food was horrible: - dry. hard over cooked old chicken - onion rings were old and tasted of stale oil - fries cooked possibly in the same oil Table wasnt clean. Old water/juice bottles left behind salt and pepper shakers, grotty feel to the place. Won't ever go back and don't recommend at all.

Burger patty so overcooked that it could bounce. Disgusting that they serve such rubbish.

The breakfast was very nice with friendly service. Price on breakfast was reasonable and the place is very clean.

I would give a zero if could... Was on my way Saturday 15 Jan 2023.... Me and my friend order a Ranch breakfast that comes a steak... The steak had a very very bad smell... We were so disappointed because normally that is our breakfast.....but falcon creek spur will never ever seen again,only if we pass by...... Attached is the steak we got....but we send it back... We didn't knew what to choose...so we askes them to bring us burger patties.... We also waited 18-25min for our food....

I would love to thank the lady in the kiddies play area today for being such an amazing star with the kids this morning. Unfortunately I did not get her name. It's becouse of her that our daughter got to run around freely in the play area and my partner and I could enjoy a breakfast for a change.

Great little spur with friendly waiters and great kids play area.
