We had an outstanding dinner here. Truly delicious. The portions are GIGANTIC for a insanely affordable price. Cathy and Remy are wonderful hosts with a very moving story. We had the filo baked camambert followed by the ostrich (so good!). The deserts are actually too big to finish to be honest so maybe just share one :) No alcohol license but BYO. Very much recommended!

We had the most amazing dinner here ! We were in Knysna on our 3 night honeymoon but they didn't know that ;) Price - Quality is extremely good and you get free appetizer and a delicious mini dessert once you asked for the bill. We enjoyed every moment and dish from the start of the evening until the end and they treat you like a prince and princess in this place. Coming from Belgium my expectations are high especially when it comes to food and this was beyond ! The cook even introduced himself and came to our table to ask how we liked the food. Merci beaucoup Cathy et Remy I am recommending you as we speak :)

French cuisine as its best. Absolutely outstanding, got the great luck to get a seat without reservation and didn't regret. Unfortunately we just discovered this gem just on our last day in Knysna. Bring your own wine and believe the reviews 20x five stars! Would strongly recommend the camembert as a starter

One of the best! Of course the food is beautifully prepared and exceptionally tasty. The camambert starter was fantastic(and big enough for two), my ostrich fillet was totally amazing - it melted in my mouth like candy floss! The duck was not as crispy as one might expect though. We never managed a third course. I should have skipped the scallop starter and shared the camembert - (nothing at all wrong with the delicate and tasty scallops) . More than that, the waiters are well-trained, discrete and attentive. Cathy looks after her diners very well and Remy makes a point of calling on every table to see that you are enjoying his food. A little pricey, but worth every cent. I cannot imagine how you could visit this restaurant and leave disappointed - can't happen. We had a great evening. Good wine list.

What a little gem! Recommended to all fine dining lovers. The couple, true French residents runs the restaurant in the middle of Knysna. The food is amazing as is their hospitality. They offer a variety of food which includes duck, venison and fish. A must for anyone who enjoys food experiences.

Best restaurant in Knysna, must visit if you are up to deliciously crafted food. Ambience, service and dishes are absolutely devine. Baked Brie in filo pastry, and scallops starters - fantastic! Main courses prepared fresh from scratch and balanced so well with sauces and accompanied sides that creates sensational taste. We had Norvegian salmon, duck conf and springbock - cooked to perfection by Remy. And more, ....while you waiting for your dish to be prepared, you treated with small deliciously tasted le hors-d'oeuvre. We enjoyed our dinner very much, highly recommend for food lovers.

We had such a lovely evening with Remy and Cathy! My girlfriend and I didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly on a Thursday evening. Loadshedding made for a romantic candlelight dinner as the sun went down. We each had three courses and split a bottle of wine and didn't regret a thing. Beautiful, classic French cooking (in Knysna, who would have thought?), with some really interesting twists (my girlfriend had the springbok with blueberry sauce and it was delicious) and charming touches. The owners and staff are so gracious. This was a memorable dining experience :)

In all of my travel experience if I'm lucky enough there is always a restaurant that I attached to my memory of the trip and for my whole month in South Africa, this is it. we booked via WhatsApp, they were kind enough to confirm within the hour or even less. We were greeted by Cathy, got our table and quickly the waitress came to provide us the menu for the food and drinks. Shortly after Reimy came to introduce himself and welcome us to their restaurant, lovely couple I could see why this restaurant has these amazing reviews, they made you feel welcome. We had the scallops as an appetizer, very good but I recommend ordering two appetizers if you are sharing and hungry. we had the duck breast, deliciously crisp in the outside and tender in the inside, also the Ostrich, it was my first time trying it and it was my favorite dish! and finished with the crème brûlée perfectly. As for drinks I had G&T which you can't go wrong with a simple cocktail.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I enjoyed my time and food at 34 Degrees South. If you sit outside, you get treated to awesome views too of what can be described like Venice. Towards the latter part of the day, you'll see a gorgeous South African sunset (if there are no clouds). I had some wine by the glass, one of the few places...
