We loved stopping at this beautiful restaurant in Knysna. We were looking for fresh, great seafood & oysters, and Drydock delivered that and more! The atmosphere is beautiful, and even though there was a queue, it moved very fast to accommodate those waiting. Brendon, the manager, is so kind and helpful. He made sure we were doing well the entire time & he had great wine suggestions. We loved the sushi, Rockefeller oysters, prawns, seafood curry, and hake. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant— very great!!

Excellent food, excellent service and friendly staff. The setting was amazing, good delicious and the ambiance was great. Stunning Harbour views to enjoy while digging in to the oyster experience and fresh seafood 🐠. We had ample staff around us to assist us and even managers were always checking in and ready to take pics where needed 😊😎. Lovely spot and a must do when in Knysna 👌👌👌

Brandon and his team are exceptional! I have a shellfish allergy and they were so caring and careful. The pizza was delicious and a great portion size. Others in our group had delicious steak and the catch of the day. All plates were beautifully laid out. The crème brûlée is the best!!!

The Drydock at the Knysna waterfront is a little more expensive than the surrounding restaurants but is worth it for the quality of food. Excellent food and the best service I have had for a long time. Not only was she punctual, but she was also thoughtful and loved her client’s service. Large seafood selection including curried prawns. It also serves Pizzas, burgers, steaks, etc. Full bar available. Excellent views of the waterfront if you arrive early. Wheelchair is accessible for the lower deck but not upstairs. Upstairs has nice romantic mood lighting. Certainly, will be back again.

Love this restaurant! Right on the Knysna harbour with a view of all the boats and marina so the location is unbeatable. Incredibly impressed with the quick well trained servers. Even though our server was new she was so attentive and friendly. All the food portions were so large and delicious. The prawns with the butter sauce are a true star and is a must order item. Came out incredibly quickly from the kitchen. We loved it so much we came back with friends the next night! Tip: reserve early or chance having to wait in line for a table. Since I was staying at the Protea, I emailed and they were so accommodating. Pro-tips: - Prokard Explorer member restaurant so they will give you a discount depending on the number of guests eating with you (up to 50%) - corkage: they will allow you to bring your own nice wine to enjoy and charge a small corkage

This was a really busy place but we managed to get a table and some service after a wait. I wanted to try the famous Knysna Oysters here. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with some very tiny oysters. The manager was kind enough to knock off half the price due to my disappointment which was much appreciated. I'd definitely give it another try next time I'm in town as I think I might have had an isolated bad experience. The rest of our food was great. Do note, their oyster prices are by no means cheap

Waiting service was great! The sea food was very tasty and good! Personally I wouldn’t go there for the burgers, but they will still very good. The view is nice, as long as you get a windows seat, but otherwise it is okay, nothing to write home about. Overall the restaurant is a great place to spend the evening and enjoy a good meal at!

The food was good not the best in Plettenberg the fries was oily and soggy and calamari little bit chewy but the view was amazing with the sunset

Very very good restaurant with fantastic view on the harbour. Tables inside and outside available, although the outside ones could get more cosy lights around. Otherwise you won't see the great arrangement on your plate ;) Definitely the best calamari tubes salad I have ever had!

What an experience. They were very busy and booked and still managed to give us a table. The drinks were delicious and not watered down. The decor is tasteful and stylish with a beautiful view over the harbour. But the food! Deliciois does not describe it. The ratatouille and polenta were first class, the Kingklip was fresh and phenomenal. Even as busy as they were, the service was friendly and attentive. The manager even stopped by for a chat about my partner's tattoos. I'd come back to Knysna all the way from GP just to have dinner at Drysock again.

Food was good, portions a tad on the small side, but bear in mind it is a "upmarket" establishment. Had better and had worse but definitely on my short list of favourites. Went there on recommendation of a friend who lives in Herold Bay. Can recommend them for anyone passing through or on holiday here. Oh and rather make a reservation, I am travelling on my own and almost did not get a table and this was out of season on a Thursday evening.

Great restaurant overlooking the marina. Good selection of seafood, meat and sushi. Slightly more on the pricey side but worth the money. Good selection of beers on tap. We (2 people) were able to walk in and get a table on a Sunday evening in off season even though the place seemed busy.

We had a delicious dinner here. The steaks and veggies were cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Zama was one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. All the wait staff were very well groomed and manicured, and very professional. The location was amazing and our dinner here was the best we had on our holiday. We will be back for sure!

Average at best. Had the pizza so can’t speak for the seafood but this place is something to go to if you have no other option. Pizza is nothing special, neither is the restaurant setup. Staff are friendly and helpful though.

Very popular local hangout for pub grub and Sushi. Great view of dock and sail craft with surrounding shops and tourist goodies. Can be busy at times so would suggest booking your spot.

Beautifully situated with great, efficient and friendly staff! Special note of our server Sizakhe(spelling?) who was so attentive and friendly! Shared a delicious creamy mussel starter followed by the hake and prawns special which was delectable and so generous a portion I had to have a doggy bag. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her pork schnitzel and veg. Will definitely visit again one day ☺

Only had drinks here. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was friendly and the on tap gin delicious. The food looked good so we might be back for the sushi special.

Excellent calamari, best Dark Chocolate Brownie in Knysna! Very friendly staff. Beautiful views. Love the new upstairs dining area revamp. I can't wait to enjoy a fireside meal in winter!

Amazing restaurant for LOCAL seafood! We went there one night and took the oven oysters, tuna bites and seafood platter. It was very tasty, amazing view and friendly staff! The night after, we came back for the 1/2 price sushi offer but the sushi quality was dissapointing: salmon and tuna doesn’t taste well, the nori paper was hard to chew on, spicy tuna is actually tuna with a bell pepper haha… Conclusion : Would come back but not for sushi ;)

We wanted to go have lunch in Knysna and were looking for some seafood options. We ordered the seafood platter for 4 and some local wine. Everything about the experience was incredible . Some of the best seafood platters you will find. A must if you are looking for some great seafood in Knysna!

Located right by the waterfront, this restaurant offers not just a meal but a captivating atmosphere. The friendly service we received added a special touch to our evening.
